A few weeks after the party.

I woke to the sound of a repetitive ringing noise. I reached across, slapping my phone in every which way in hope to shut it up. I smiled weakly when it did and attempted to drift back into sleep. My eyes flew wide open seconds later to the same annoying ring from my phone. Angrily, I picked it up only to notice it was Christina calling.

"What?" I answered.

"I know you're pissed because its 7am, but this is an emergency."

"Fine," I sighed. "What's up?"

"I need you to watch Riley for me today."

"Huh?" I rubbed my forehead in confusion. "Doesn't he have school?"

"They shut the school because of the snow, but I still have to go to work."

I stood up, strolling over to my window. "What are you talking about? There's no sno-" I stopped talking when I pulled my curtains back. "Woah." I whispered.

"Did you really not know it was snowing?"

My eyes glanced up at a still lit street light and saw the still falling snow.

"No." My voice was quiet as I tried to come to terms with the now white blanket that covered the street. Suddenly overcome with confusion, I snapped out of my daze. "Wait, since when were we due any snow?"

Christina sighed through the phone, as if she'd already wondered the same thing. "I don't know. News reporters said it was unexpected, but not completely since we're already having the coldest winter ever."

"Oh." I shut the curtains and turned around.

"So I'm just around the corner, I'll be there in a few minutes."

"Hold up, wait. I haven't even agreed to this. What if Tobias doesn't want a kid around his house?" Honestly, I was just tired and wanted to go back to sleep.

"Please, he loves Riley. And it's as much your house as it is his now."

I shook my head disagreeing, although she couldn't see me.

"Thanks, love you." Christina said quickly and hung up.

I sighed and turned around to face the bed. Tobias wasn't there. I noticed one of his hoodies on the floor and picked it up. Stretching my arms through the fabric, I pulled it down my body. The smell of his cologne surrounded me and I could live in it forever.

I walked down the stairs and spotted him in the kitchen. "Hey." I said.

He spun around, a smile lighting up his face. "Morning."

"What are you doing up this early?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

"Couldn't sleep," He shrugged. "So I made breakfast."

Worry surfaced in my stomach. "Are you okay?" I asked.

He chuckled. "I'm fine, Tris. The weather just woke me up. Have you seen the snow?"

"Yeah… about that."

He cocked an eyebrow at me.

"Riley can't get to school so Christina is bringing him here. I told her I would ask you first if it was okay since this is your house and all, but it's kind of an emergency because she needs to get to work-"My rambling was cut off by the sound of the doorbell – Thank god.

Tobias laughed and held onto my shoulders. "Tris. Its fine, I'd love to see Riley."

"Really?" I exhaled.

Tobias chuckled as he walked over to the door. Riley charged in, heading straight towards my midsection. I knelt down before he could do any damage and he ran straight into my arm.

"Aunty Tris!" He beamed. "Can you believe the snow?!"

I laughed. "I know, It's amazing!" I looked over my shoulder to see Christina talking to Tobias. "Let's get you out of these wet shoes." I said to Riley.

"Can't we play in the snow?" He pleaded.

"Later," I smiled. "First. Breakfast." I rustled my hand through his hair and he looked up, face beaming.

"Be good Riley!" Christina shouted across the room. "Thanks so much for this guys." She said before leaving.

I put Riley's damp coat in the closet and walked back to the kitchen.

"How about some pancakes?" I heard Tobias say to Riley.

He jumped up onto the bar stool, ripping his gloves off his fingers. "Yeah!"

I smiled and went upstairs to change. Knowing I would probably get dragged outside by Riley, I put on jeans, t-shirt and pulled a sweater on too. By the time I had returned downstairs, Tobias was seated next to Riley, pancakes done. I grabbed a plate out of the cupboard and grabbed two. Riley put on what he thought was the 'perfect amount' of syrup, but frankly, my pancakes we swimming in it. I put the gooey food in my mouth and was overcome with the amount of sugar. Tobias was covering his poorly disguising his laugher. Once Riley's back was turned I spat it into the bin and quickly shoved some in Tobias' mouth. He made a sound of protest and I had to clutch my stomach from laughing.

After watching TV for a while, Riley stood up on the couch. "Can we go outside now?"

I gave Tobias a sideways glace and smiled. "Come on then." I said, grabbing all of our coats out the closet.

"Let's see who can make the biggest snowball." Tobias said, smirking at me.
