So sorry it has taken so long to finish this! Life has a way of getting in the way of writing! Anyway, this is the next-to-last installment in this fic. I hope you are enjoying it! I plan on getting the last installment up after the New Year.

For those that doubt, I am not JK Rowling, and therefore own nothing and make no money. Unfortunately. For those who haven't noticed, I don't exactly follow canon. Hence Snape being alive. So you may notice a few things that do not follow the books. Don't worry. You can handle it!

Thanks for reading! Reviews are WONDERFUL Christmas presents! Hint, hint!

Professor Minerva McGonagall's voice cut off mid-sentence. "Did you see that, Albus? I would swear something just flew through the room!" She stepped the rest of the way into the cavernous library and looked suspiciously around. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. Albus Dumbledore gently gave her a prod and stepped through the door after her.

Twinkling blue eyes surveyed the room. He didn't appear to be searching for anything in particular, but one never knew with the Headmaster. From her hiding place behind Professor Snape, Hermione trembled with fear and nerves. And adrenalin. Her body was still thrumming with the glorious sex she'd just had with Severus. Hermione had to stifle a panicky giggle at that thought. She had just been thoroughly fucked by the man of her dreams. Merlin, the man was a sex god. No doubt about it. She felt Severus shift slightly as he frowned at her over his shoulder. Even the man's frown was sexy.

Snape glared at Hermione over his shoulder, attempting to express how precarious of a position they were in. Rather than looking suitably chastised, Hermione looked, well, like she wanted a repeat. Her luminous eyes were opened wide, the pupils huge in the whiskey-colored irises. Her cheeks were slightly flushed and her pink lips were full. Severus felt his groin tighten at the thought that this little nymph was ready for him again. As he became painfully aware of her full breasts pushed against his back, Severus had to stifle a groan of his own. If the girl wasn't careful, she'd wind up pushed against the shelf in a moment.

With a deep breath, he turned back toward the two professors who now were seated at the table piled with books. They were in a direct line of sight of Hermione and Severus. The disillusionment spell was not perfect, especially when cast in haste. Hopefully McGonagall and Dumbledore were too engrossed in whatever conversation they were having to notice the slight shimmer in the air hiding Hermione and himself.

"Well, have you noticed anything?" Minerva pressed urgently. "I mean, Albus, surely you have noticed the way he looks at her? I never would have expected it of him! After all these years! We must say something! Why, the poor girl would likely be mortified!"

To Professor McGonagall's dismay, the Headmaster did not seem to find the situation as urgent as she. "Now, now, Minerva, I believe we should just let them alone. After all, they are adults, not children. No, neither of them are children," he repeated as McGonagall opened her mouth to protest. "I think you may be mistaken about her lack of interest. She spends just as much time watching him. Personally, I think both of them are completely unaware of the other's attraction. Well, at least they were unaware until recently, I think." A curious smile, almost a smirk, crossed Professor Dumbledore's face as his twinkling blue eyes skimmed the nearby aisles. His glance seemed to pause momentarily on the disillusioned couple, but moved on before Severus could be certain.

"What does that mean, Albus? Until recently? What have you seen? You are hiding something from me, you old goat! I want to know what it is! Did you see Hermione and Severus? Did you tell them something?" McGonagall leaned forward across the table until she was almost nose to nose with the Headmaster. Instead of answering, he simply smiled vaguely and patted her shoulder. Minerva huffed and slammed herself back into her chair. It was obvious the old goat wasn't going to tell her anything. She should know better. The man had an irritating habit of knowing everything and sharing next to nothing.

Well, if he wasn't worried about the possible ramifications of the two of them, then why should she? She'd trusted Albus Dumbledore too many times to doubt him now. Anyway, after all these years Severus certainly deserved some happiness. Hermione, too. If she were completely honest with herself, Minerva was thrilled that Hermione and Ron had never amounted to anything. What a waste that would have been! Now, Hermione and Severus? Imagine the offspring! Brilliant, talented, and far too sarcastic, but they'd be bloody amazing. Yes, now that she thought of it, the two of them made a wonderful couple.

At the mention of their names, Hermione had gasped and clutched Severus tighter. His eyes narrowed as Dumbledore looked in their direction. He knew. The Headmaster knew. How he knew, Severus couldn't be certain. Somehow that annoying bastard knew everything. Severus shook his head in defeat. He should have known this would never be kept secret. Of course, Albus didn't seem upset. Rather, he seemed approving. The defeated look in Severus's eyes gave way to a gleam of satisfaction. He wasn't going to have to give Hermione up. She was his.

Hermione watched the play of emotions on Snape's face. At first, he'd seemed angry and, well, defeated almost. Then, he appeared content and triumphant. Apparently Professor Dumbledore's endorsement of their relationship, if that is what this was, was enough for Severus. Excitement thrilled through Hermione. She could barely contain a squeal of happiness. She wasn't going to have to give him up! He was hers!

Hermione's attention was dragged away from Severus as the two professors stood and walked toward the back of the library. It looked as though they were continuing with their errand. As soon as they were out of sight, Severus spun around and grabbed Hermione by her upper arms. He stared intently into her eyes, before suddenly kissing her hard.

"Come. Now is the time to leave, before they return." Severus took Hermione by the hand, and slipped toward the door. Stealthily, he pushed the door open, and pulling Hermione by the hand, headed down the corridor to the dungeons.

"Where are we going?" Hermione asked breathlessly, and hopefully.

Severus turned to her with a raised eyebrow. "Obviously, we are headed toward the astronomy tower. We are just getting there by way of the dungeons." He smirked at her glare to his response. "My rooms, you little twit. Where else? I am ravishing you for the rest of the night. Unless you have other plans?" His voice trailed off as he looked at her questioningly.

Hermione felt her heart speed up at his words. She licked her lips and shook her head. "No, no plans."

"Good." He pushed open the heavy wooden door to the potions classroom and pulled her toward the door to his quarters. "That, my girl, was the correct answer." With that he pushed Hermione into his room.
