I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to update but the thing is, I'm a crappy writer, and thus I not only was unable to come up with anything but I was also incapable of writting it well, damn! Anyway, hope you enjoy! If there is somebody reading of course and sorry for it being so bad.
"Mom?" I couldn't understand that sudden change, why was she so upset? But as soon as it came, that shocked expression left her face and was replaced by a welcoming smile.
"Hello!" she said cheerfully, " Please come in girls" she stepped aside and the girls went inside, oblivious to what had happened. It was when I saw Faye staring at me that I realized I hadn't moved, so I went inside.
"Mom, this are Diana, Melissa and Faye" I said signalizing at each one, "We have to make a project" I explained.
"It's a pleasure Miss Blake" Diana ventured whilst the other girls limited to smile at her.
Mom shook her head, "Please call me Amelia, it's a pleasure girls please make yourself at home"
"Thank you Amelia" said Faye and dropped her bag on the floor next to the couch and sat on it. Diana stared at her for a moment, clearly annoyed at her for making herself too comfortable but I didn't care. Melissa sat on the floor and took out some of her books and pencils.
"Cass" I hear my mom calling me; she had put on a jacket and was grabbing her bag with school work.
"I'm guessing you are leaving" she looked at me with sad eyes and said, "Sorry honey, I'll try to be here tomorrow, have fun today" she kissed my forehead and headed to the door. "Bye girls, have fun!" and took off.
"Bye!" Diana said taking off her coat.
"Bye Amelia"
"Bye" Something was definitely wrong, I had appeared at home three hours after I was supposed to, when it was incredibly dark and she didn't even seem to notice. Melissa most have seen my expression because she asked, "are you ok Cassie?"
"Yeah" I said trying to sound casual, "it's just wired that she is out so much" I went to sit on the floor next to her.
"That's because she is a teacher, they are never at home" Faye said taking out her book.
"And how does that make you feel?" Melissa said in a sort of therapist tone which earned her a cushion to her head that hit both of us.
"It makes me very happy thanks for asking"
"Girls if we start we won't do anything" Diana threatened.
"Alright, alright! But when we finish we open up some buzz" Faye stated and the three of us hit her simultaneously with a cushion.
Amelia closed the door to her house and quickly looked her surroundings. There was nothing beside the usual activity of the neighborhood at that time. "Good" she thought and started walking in a calm way albeit always looking around. It was late and she hoped they would still be there. In ten minutes she was two blocks away and her heart was beating faster, even though she tried to look completely normal. "You never know if they are watching" she remembered what he had said and it was true, after all, it was better to be safe than sorry, very much sorry. Finally, when she got to the place she pretended to keep a straight path, her eyes looking front, when at the last second turned around and into the meeting place.
Her heart fell when she saw the scene; the little cave formed by large, unmaintained bushes was empty, there was nobody there. "Stupid!" she cursed herself for being late. She took two steps trying to see if there was someone hiding in the darkness when a hand covered her mouth and she gasped, surprised and terrorized.
"It's me" the familiar voice said before she even remembered to struggle, she immediately relaxed and the hand let her go.
"Jesus Ethan!" she turned to see him and smiled, relieved.
"Sorry, but you know how it is we must not be seen, or heard" he apologized.
"Yeah I know, it was just the surprise. Is the rest here?" she asked looking behind him.
"They are already in the place; it was safer than waiting here" Ethan piped his head from the cave and observed. Nobody was there. "Coast is clear" he whispered and they starting walking away. He led her through a familiar path, she already knew which was the place this time. In order for them to be safe they only discussed ordinary topics such as the weather, work and so on and so forth, nothing like being caught talking about persecution or magic to get into trouble. It was not long until they got to the abandoned garage.
As soon as they entered the smell hit them, it smelled like moist and old oil; the walls were broken and supported an almost collapsed sealing. No wander nobody ever went there, the thing could burry anything beneath it in any second.
"Thank god!" the loud exclamation came from the group behind a pillar, "We thought they got you both" said the little red haired woman.
"Yeah, what the hell Amelia?" snorted the tallest man of the three.
"I am sorry" Amelia held her palms up, "He came to see me" everything was forgotten except that.
"He did?" Ethan said incredulous.
"Well, what did he say?" the other woman asked.
"A lot of gibber gabber basically, nothing important" she said annoyed, the first time he came in such a long time and all he was talk nonsense.
"Great, another great help" Ethan cursed.
"So he won't help?" the red haired woman asked disappointed.
"Of course he won't! He is a bloody pussy that's the problem, everybody except us are" the blond woman grunted whilst the men nodded in agreement.
"Here we go again" Ethan whispered to Amelia.
"There is another problem" Amelia spoke up before the eternal fight began yet again. "Cassie is in"
