Chapter 11: Visitors

"Hey, Lillian, I'm coming in," Reina's voice sounded from outside. It had been a couple days since my encounter with Laney. I haven't taken a step out of Konohana since then. I glanced at the calendar, Fall 9th. I had started working as hard as I could and was taking a short break, Laney's words still fresh in my mind.

I hesitated slightly at the sight of Reina. I hadn't seen her for so long, and had left her when she was finally starting to open up. I was on my bed and stared out the window. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Reina slowly take a seat by my table, keeping silent. She sucked in a breath and I braced myself, "You...you've been gone awhile..."

"Yeah..." I replied softly. The silence weighed us down, but that was the thing I liked about Reina, she knows how peaceful silence is, something I can't have with any other person in these two villages.

"Thank you," I breathed out softly, and she glanced up at me, surprised.

"Why are you thanking me?" she sounded alert, like this was the last thing she had ever expected, and it probably was.

I smiled, "You're the only one in these two towns that knows the wonder of silence."

Her eyes widened, and she grinned, later falling into silence. It lasted a while, before Reina cleared her throat making me glance up curiously. "Um," she started, " I-"

"LILLIAN!" The door burst open to Kana grinning ear-to-ear.

"What." I said in monotone.

"I'm hungry. Make me some curry." He plopped down on a pillow, looking up at me with puppy-dog eyes.

"No." I rolled my eyes, expecting his reply.

He pouted, "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT?"

"Because you're annoying me...?"

He fluttered his eyelashes, waving a hand at me, "Aw, thanks,"

"Oh, um," Reina said in a quiet tone, "I should be on my way. Oh, and, Lillian, there's a present for you outside your door. You haven't been yourself lately." And with that she left the house, closing the door quietly before it slammed open a couple minutes later during my argument with Kana to reveal a fuming Georgia.

"Kana..." she said in a menacing voice, "how nice to see you."

"Hey Georgia," he smiled cheesily, he sounded scared, like, really scared, "Oh right, looks like you're gonna have to make me my spicy curry next time, again. Gotta run, bye~" He bolted out the door avoiding Georgia, as she was too mad to focus right now.

She blinked a couple times before coming back to her senses and sprinting out the door screeching Kana's name.

"...Well then..." I muttered, watching them try not to trample my crops as Georgia chased around Kana who screamed "I'm sorry"s while he laughed and sounded miserable...? I turned to find Reina's gift next to me, a lily-of-the-valley plant with a small note attached to it. The plant hasn't bloomed yet, as it was autumn now.

Quickly, I read the note and smiled. I will, Reina. I might be small as these flowers, but one day, I'll bloom to be as beautiful as those bigger than me.

A screech shook me. And surprisingly, since it sounded like a girl, it turned out to be Kana who had gotten caught by Georgia and was being pulled away by his ear.

"Lillian..." He whined, "Please save me from this demon. IF YOU DON'T I'LL DIE!"

"Hey Georgia" I said. And Kana smiled.

"Yeah?" she looked up at me and glared daggers at me. She's so scary...

I gulped. "Kill him for me, okay? I don't wanna cook spicy curry for an idiot." I grinned.

"NOOO! LILLIAN! HOW COULD YOU BETRAY ME LIKE THIS? AGHHH GEORGIA THAT HURTS!"Kana screeched.

Georgia just smiled at me before going on her way, clearly satisfied.

"Lillian~" a voice sounded behind me, making me jump.

"AHAHAHA. Scared you didn't I?" Sheng laughed.

"Yeah, is there something you needed?" I groaned. How does an old man dressed up as a panda sneak up on you like some freaking ninja?

"Yeah," he cocked his head. "You needed your hoe upgraded, right?"

"Oh, yeah, thanks." I smiled as he handed me my hoe.

"Well, I have to run, see ya!" he laughed and walked away,

I sighed, deciding to leave Reina's gift outside for a little sun. I stood outside, leaning against the door. "Lillian!" I heard two voices call out. Rahi ran up to me, with Ying following close behind.

"Come with us!" Rahi grinned, taking my arm and trying to drag me with him.

I giggled lightly, and crouched down to meet his eyes, "Where are we going first?"

Rahi rolled his eyes, resembling his mother oh-so-much. He sighed, fanning himself with one hand, "Didn't you know? Today's the 2nd music festival for Konohana. Last year Mikhail came to play too!"

My jaw dropped. HOw had i forgotten? I forced a smile, "Sorry Rahi, but I'm a little busy today. I have a lot of farming to do today. Maybe another time, okay?"

Rahi frowned slightly, "Okay then," he turned around to face Ying, "Next year, okay?"

I smiled at them walking away together. GAH THEY ARE SO CUTE. I turned then to enter my house turning the knob and throwing the door open, only to come upon a sight that I never needed to see.

Sheng.

Posing.

On my bed.

Like he was some sexy model.

"OH MY GOD. WHAT THE HELL SHENG!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

He laughed maniacally, "You should learn lock your windows. Well, I really gotta go now. Bye!" And with that he ran out of my house.

I sighed and flopped onto my bed. Knowing that I'd have to take care of my crops soon, I decided to take a short nap. Which turned out to be a sleep that I wouldn't wake up from until the next morning.

Yeah so for this chapter I was aiming for more of a light-hearted feeling. Let me know what you guys think!
