Hey guys! So this chapter is not very long mainly because I'm just SO busy with other things.

But, I have been getting reviews saying they wanted an update so here is just a little something!

I'll try to post ASAP!

Thank you for reading! :)

The next couple weeks had been quiet. No signs of walkers and the duties on the farm had been running smoothly. It left a load of time for Riley to think about Daryl. He hadn't said more than a few words over the weeks. She couldn't help but think that Daryl had used her and now he was done with her. She should hate him for it, but she couldn't. She cared about him so much she couldn't imagine what she would do without him. How different things would be without him around.

After getting dressed, Riley went out to help Carol do some of the "women's"duties. "Hey, how you feeling?" Carol was so nice to her, and Carl. She had become the only motherly figure left in her life. She needed someone she could go to for advice. Someone who would help her, understand her. She couldn't go to her dad with her girl issues. But at the same time, she knew she couldn't say anything to Carol about how she felt about Daryl. The last thing she needed was someone lecturing her about how he was too old for her. And she had promised Daryl that she would not tell anyone about what they had done.

"I'm feeling good. Would you like some help?"

"No, I'm okay. You should get some breakfasy, here ya go." Carol handed her a plate of eggs she had set aside for her.

"Thank you." Riley took the plate and walked over to one of the empty chairs by the fire pit. It seems she had been having a lot of alone time lately. Before everything had happened, she would've loved to be alone. But now she felt lonely and unimportant. "Hey."

She heard his voice. It had been a few days since the last time, She looked up to see Daryl with his crossbow in his right hand, looking down at her.

"Hey." Normally she would have started running her mouth and been getting the nervous butterflies in her stomach. But now she felt she was more nervous about him being angry at her, or disgusted. The last thing she wanted was for him to regret touching and kissing her.

"What's the matter with you?" She couldn't stop her mind from going off with negative thoughts. 'Why does he care?' 'Why is he even bothering to ask?'

"Nothin..." Riley just shrugged him off.

"What's yur problem?" he accused again.

"I don't have a problem. What's your problem?"

"Ain't got one." How could he be so calm? How could he be so oblivious to how she felt? He did this on purpose and he knows it. But, to Riley's surprise Daryl pulled up a chair and sat down next to her. This wasn't like Daryl at all. The old Daryl would have just ignored her and gone about his business like she didn't even matter.

"How ya feelin'?" he looked to her, squinting as the sun shone in his eyes. Riley sighed in defeat. She couldn't ignore Daryl, no matter how bad she wanted to.

"It comes and goes. At least I haven't fainted again." Daryl nodded in agreement.

"Walker!" they both ran from their seats towards the voice. Daryl grabbed Riley's arm, holding her back.

"Stay here. You don't need to be out there. The last thing I need is to be worrying 'bout you gettin' hurt." She was SURPRISED. She liked that Daryl still cared enough to protect her. It made her feel safe.
