A/N: Two updates in one day WHAT THATS UNHEARD OF! Felt like I should spoil you I was so busy with life hence no updates. I joined the Army! (again) But regular updates from now on. So on with the story.

Chapter 5- Waking Up Pt. 2

No One's Pov

"Well I'm going to leave you two alone so you can talk."

Mrs. Carter kissed Danielle on her forehead

"I'll see you later sweetie I love you"

"I love you too mom"

"Nice to see you again Emily"

"Good to see you again too Sharon"

Sharon walks out and closes the door to give them privacy. There are a few moments of silence of neither knowing what to say first. Danielle starts off

"Look Em-"

But is cut off by a bone crushing hug from Emily she is startled by it at first but soons hug her back full force.

"I was so worried and when they said you were in a coma I didn't know what to do. I mean you seemed fine then your eyes rolled to the back of your head and you passed out I was so scared for you. We just met and I almost lost you-

"Em breathe, I'm right here. Not even a concussion can hold me back" Danielle said with a chuckle. "And I'm sorry for scaring you like that."

"You have nothing to be sorry for you couldn't help slipping into a coma."

Emily went in for another hug and found it immediately reciprocated. They just spend the next couple of minutes just holding each other afraid that if they let go the other will slip away. Danielle pulls back first hating to lose contact so she takes Emily's hand and plays with her fingers.

"I didn't know you and my mom were first name bases" Danielle says trying to lighten the mood.

"Oh me and Sharon we go way back" Emily jokes back "I didn't want to leave your side so we had a chance to get to know each other, I like her though I see where you get your sense of humor from"

"Yeah we're sort of awesome like that wait until you meet my dad you'll see where I get my good looks from" Danielle laughs

The brunette smiles "Then I can't wait... did the doctor say when you can get out?"

"No not yet but I'm probably guessing tomorrow so can monitor me for the night and whatnot."

"Sounds like you been through this a lot."

"All in the days work of a student athlete surely you most know"

"Yeah I remember one time I got ulcers and some other stuff happened..." Emily trailed off not wanting to get into that part her life all that is supposed to be behind her. "But I get it. I hate being away from pool it's like my sanctuary.

Danielle smiles at the way Emily's eyes light up when she is talking about swimming "It's good someone understands, basketball takes to another place I don't know where but it not on earth, you know?"

"Yeah my feelings exactly"

Danielle takes Emily's hand and laces their fingers "Look I'm gonna come right out and say this I don't usually talk about my feelings so I think this the concussion talking..."

Emily starts to feel uneasy because it got real serious real fast and her palms are starting to sweat in anticipation for what the basketball player has to say. Danielle takes a deep breath and looks into Emily's chocolate orbs.

"...I don't know what it is but I feel this pull to you I want to hold you and not let you go but I just met you the other day and its weird how we are so comfortable with each other like we have known each our whole lives. I don't think I'm only one feelings either because if I am this just got real embarassing." The basketball player takes her hand and runs it down her hair.

"No I feel it too, I really like you."

Danielle releases a sigh of relief and smiles like a child on Christmas day. "Awesome so with that being said when I am able to blow this popsicle stand can I take you on date?"

"Of course"
