A/N: So you guys probably hate me. SORRY! This chapter was really hard for me because I wasn't sure where I was going with it. I actually had a completely different ending written, but I didn't like it and it has taken me a couple of months to figure out what I wanted this chapter to look like. In retrospect, I probably could have pushed this chapter back, but I would have still have the same reaction. Anyway, this chapter is not very long...at all. BUT, I think it says what I want it to. Thank you for all your reviews! I'm currently writing this in my Anthropology class.

Me: Nickkkkyyy

Nicolai: Please don't call me Nicky.

Me: I won't if you do the disclaimer

Nicolai: Fine. Jordan does not own Vampire Diaries.

Me: Thanks Nicky!

Nicolai: Hey! You said you'd stop!

Me: Enjoy :)

"Hey, Nick."

Nicolai looked up from his book to look towards his door. Shawn Castile walked in the door and collapsed on his bed, with a smile on his face. Nicolai gave his roommate a knowing look.

"What?"

"Were you smooth-talking my sister?"

"Dude. Who says smooth-talking anymore? Oh I know! You and a certain tall Russian."

Nicolai rolled his eyes and went back to reading his book.

"I have no idea who you're talking about," Nicolai said calmly, turning a page.

"You're even READING the same books as he does!" Shawn exclaimed, ripping the book from his hand.

"Hey! That's a classic Western! You're going to bend it! It's not MY fault YOU'RE uneducated," Nicolai replied as he grabbed Shawn in a headlock and pried the book from Shawn's hand.

Shawn tackled Nicolai to the floor, grabbing Nicolai's arms and forcibly folding them behind his back.

"What are you? A policeman?"

"A what?"

"Nevermind," Nicolai said as he wriggled around in Shawn's hold.

"I see you even have long hair...just like Guardian Belikov!"

Nicolai wriggled his hands free and tossed Shawn over his head, watching as Shawn slammed into his bed. Nicolai stood up, dusting himself off and sat on his bed leveling Shawn with an even look.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I want to finish my book," he said, grabbing his discarded Western.

Shawn laughed and lifted himself back onto the bed.

"Ow, dude, that hurt," Shawn complained, stretching his arm around in circles.

"Hmph. Maybe you should train more," Nicolai snorted.

"Maybe you should train more," mocked Shawn.

"Very mature, Castile."

*Knock*

"Who the HELL is that? Can't even finish a book without 15 people interrupting me!" Nicolai yelled.

Shawn snickered as he stood to answer the door. Pulling the door open, he immediately stopped snickering see who was there.

"Nicolai. We have training," stated Dimitri.

Nicolai ignored him, not looking up from his book.

"Nicolai. NOW."

With that, Dimitri turned on his heel and walked out of the room.

"I swear. All I want to do is read my book. Doesn't even know how long I've had that..." Nicolai grumbled under his breath as he jammed his feet into his trainers and stalked out after Dimitri. Shawn laughed and shut the door behind him.

"10 laps, 5 minutes."

"Are you crazy?" Nicolai shouted, turning to Dimitri.

"I'd start stretching if I were you," Dimitri said, already stretching.

"Why are we training now? I already trained this morning," Nicolai said, his arms folded.

"Yes, you also got kidnapped," Dimitri snapped.

Nicolai turned his head, looking towards the spot where he was taken. When he turned back to Dimitri, he had a fierce look on his face.

"That will never happen again."

"Then run."

Nicolai slowly breathed out as he came to a stop next to Dimitri. Dimitri turned to look at him.

"What? Staring is creepy, you know."

"Let's shower, then we are meeting your mother and sister for dinner," Dimitri said, ignoring Nicolai and walking towards the dorms.

"You want to shower with me? Sorry Dimitri, I don't do incest," Nicolai replied, smirking.

Dimitri stopped, and turned, glaring at Nicolai.

"Okay, okay. Calm down. Can't even make a joke," Nicolai murmured.

Dimitri rolled his eyes and kept walking past the gym. Not hearing Nicolai's feet behind him, he sighed and turned around again. His eyes immediately widened in alarm when he spotted his son. Nicolai stood a good distance away from the gym doors with a faraway look in his eyes.

"Nicolai?" Dimitri said softly.

Nicolai continued to stare ahead of him, not moving. All of a sudden, he started shaking. Dimitri approached him slowly.

"Nicolai?"

Dimitri slowly reached for him, grabbing his arms. Nicolai immediately started attacking him. Dimitri blocked his attacks and pinned Nicolai to the ground.

"Nicolai. Nicolai! Niko!"

Nicolai ceased moving and blinked his eyes.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know. You tell me," Dimitri said.

A/N: Thanks for reading! I also wanted to let you know my views on Lissa. I'm not a big fan. Anyone who has read any of my stories knows that. However, I don't think she's manipulative or anything. I personally just think she truly doesn't understand the sacrifices people make for her which irks me. For all you Lissa fans, she will not be a "villain" in this story. She's going through something too that she has to also figure out. Review please!
