Chapter 17
Both Uchiha's were furious at the girl that had been laying on the ground, she slowly raised herself and healed her larger wounds. A large gash on her arm, the cut in her cheek, the half stab half slash on her leg, the few second degree burns. After a minute she looked perfect.
Madara took a step forward but Itachi stopped him. "Madara. Focus she's been distracting us from are real purpose. The Kyuubi."
"Aa." Madara said and nodded his gaze went to Naruto, and after their eyes clashed Naruto let a painful scream escape. Dark red Chakra started to bubble from his stomach and surround his body.
Slowly almost reluctantly the tails were being formed. Sakura didn't know what to do. Madara Uchiha and his advanced Sharingan could control the Kyuubi, how was SHE- Sakura Haruno, suppose to fight the Kyuubi!
She let a small frustrated cry out before she pivoted her body, she started doing hand signs and appeared a few feet from Naruto's chakra tails. She quickly in vampiric speed appeared in front of Naruto and slammed him on his back. "Sorry." Sakura said not to sympathetically.
She pressed her glowing hand to his stomach seal and his movements paused, his tails stopped his screams stopped. He was either in shock or paralyzed, she didn't know and she didn't have time to figure out. She turned towards Madara glaring; a glare that could rival Sasuke Uchiha's.
She stomped her foot and the ground cracked and creaked open, running towards Madara. He jumped to the left and avoided being swallowed whole. She appeared in the air and kicked his stomach down, sending him off balance pummeling towards the ground.
He landed on his back with a few loud cracks; bones being snapped from the sheer power of her kick. A crater surrounded him. She smirked and landed on the ground her breath coming out rapidly.
She threw four shuriken at his fallen form. When each were about to hit and large red tail swooshed them away and sent them at her, she didn't have time to dodge so she made an X in front of her face with her arms, the Shurkin cut her clothes and small lines of blood welled up at the four scratched that we're formed.
When she dropped her arms the huge tail hit her and threw her through a line of trees, her skin sizzled on contact with the dark Chakra and burned. Her upper torso was burnt in all the visible places, half of her neck was burnt and melting. She cracked and broke each tree her limp body hit, after about forty feet of flying through trees her back hit one and cracked the trunk.
"Crack, Crunch! CHHHHHKKKKK, Ahh, hhheii," Was all that was heard when she tumbled through the trees, breaking her bones and trees.
"SAKURA!" Ino cried and took four steps forward before Shikarmru pulled her back and pushed her to the ground to avoid being hit by the Kyuubi's tails.
"SAKURA-CHAN! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sam yelled out as the Nanbi's Chakra ripped out of him in pure anger, he was angry at the Kyuubi and the Akatsuki for hurting someone precious to him.
"Sakura!"
Sam charged at Naruto, anger clouding his mind. How could he hurt her the person that saved him from his living hell!
"She can't be-"
"NOO!"
The golden Chakra of the Nanbi and the Red Chakra of the Kyuubi clashed at the two ripped at each others throats one out of protection the other out of anger, but both over the same person.
"Theres now way she-"
"Pinky..."
"Sakura-sama."
"Calm Sam down, get Naruto back to Naruto!" Kakashi yelled over the monster attacks, and over everyone's yells to Sakura.
"Bitch!" everyone's heads snapped at Karin's insult, half glared half were about to kill her before Sasuke whispered.
"Sakura..." after he whispered he glared at everyone and then at Naruto, in a second he went between the two Demons and threw them apart, knocking sense into both if them.
"If you care about Sakura then fight the Akatsuki not each other!" He snapped and turned to glare at his brother.
"NOOO SAKURA! I couldn't have... There's no way! I can't aahhhh, she can't be..." Naruto screamed angrily, him hurting his teammate brought him out of the Kyuubi's grasp, the Chakra surrounding him aspersed. His eyes went blue and he looked even more murderous.
The three other girls broke down and started sobbing. Loud agonizing sobs. Ino was the first to stand up with tears streaming down her face. She looked over to where Sakura was last seen and to the now cleared path of trees.
Shikamaru tried to pull her back but she pushed him to the ground. "She's my BEST FRIEND!" She screeched and sprinted to the line of trees, Itachi was about to slash her neck when Ino caught the blade and surprisingly... Glared at the Uchiha before running off down the path.
"Itachi get the girl..." Madara said and Itachi glared at him before he disappeared and went for the girl.
He appeared in a few seconds carrying Ino and Sakura's bodies. He dropped Sakura's body and walked in front of her, he tossed Ino down a few feet away from Shikamaru. Shikamaru quickly checked her vitals she was fine, he only knocked her out. Itachi seemed to read his look of confusion.
"I don't kill the weak." He stated before turning to Madara and the resisting Kyuubi.
He readied his Katana, poised to attack the Kyuubi vessel. Sasuke went into curse seal level two and stood beside Naruto. Sasuke's skin went a pale greyish color and his hair took a bluish black color. A shuriken looking star was in the middle of his face while he grew a few more inches. Large ugly wings flapped around his body.
They both wanted to avenge their team mate. Growls were escaping the two boys throats as they stood ready. As one both boys sprung foward. Sasuke went to Itachi and Naruto went for Madara.
Itachi's movements were slower, from Sakura's hits and electricity. Sasuke's Sharingan met Itachi's. Red clashed to red, and Sasuke sent large fireballs at his brother. Itachi dodged in time, when he looked Sasuke no longer stood in front of him. He felt a dull pain at the side of his body and then pummeled to the ground.
He had a large gash from Sasuke's Katana, on the side of his left rib cage. Itachi swore and leap away from Sasuke's large Katon. When Itachi landed Sasuke appeared behind him and plunged his sword threw his abdomen. The chidori blaring threw the sword.
Itachi felt the sting and numbness of the electricity. He quickly disappeared off of Sasuke's blade and looked at Madara. He seemed to be doing better.
Naruto was trying his hardest to hit Madara with his rasengan. He started to shake tremulously. He had only hit his arm, his mask had long been forgotten. His face was pale and handsome, he had the Uchiha's black hair and black eyes, With the Sharingan blaring in them.
Naruto dodged another fireball, and tried to push the Kyuubi down, it was hard Not using the monsters power, he promised Sakura, he broke his promise once he wouldn't do that again! He had to win and help her... If she was still alive.
He mentally slapped himself he had to keep focused on the fight, and believe in Sakura-chan. He twirled and flipped away before he summoned the chief toad.
"Brat, What do you want!?" The large toad asked while blowing out smoke from his cigar.
"Chief toad! I need help defeating... Madara Uchiha. And reviving my Teammate. She's over there!" Naruto half begged.
"I see!" the toad answered before pulling his sword out and launching it at the small human Uchiha.
"Go help her." The toad ordered before Naruto jumped off and ran towards Sakura. When he was half way Itachi made a move to stop him, he and Sasuke stood beside each other, neither able to pass.
Out of nowhere Sam appeared and jumped on Itachi, his demonic Chakra still surrounding him, protecting himself and helping fight Itachi. Both Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other in understanding. Naruto took off running again towards Sakura's body.
He looked under the trees and skidded to a halt beside her burnt body, tears streamed From his blue eyes and landed on her body. "S-Sakura-Chan." his shoulders shook as he cried for his best friend, his childhood crush.
"S-Sh..utt it Nar..uto.." Sakura half heartily snapped.
"Sakura!" He exclaimed and shook her shoulders.
"Stop it idiot!" Sasuke said pushing Naruto off of her, it was obvious he was worried, his eyes scanned her body and skin, they softened when they met her eyes.
"I'm healing..." Sakura said uncertainly.
"Sakura I'm so sorry.. I broke my promise... I hurt you!" He cried and fell into her, she could barley support herself she could Not support him, she fell backwards, luckily Sasuke caught her.
"T-Thanks." She told Sasuke who held her back.
"Shhh... Naruto nows not time for mourning. I'm not dead and I don't plan on dying anytime... We need to get back up... And finish what we started." She said as she pulled him up to look her in the eyes.
"Your right, Sakura. But... There's no way in hell we're letting you fight again. You're to injured." Sasuke said sternly almost making her obey.
"Then we'll have to fix that!" She said happily, he happy face fell when we saw Sam distracting Itachi. She grew worried and tried to stand, her body had other plans, she fell in Sasuke's arms.
"Don't move!" Sasuke ordered urgently.
"S-Sam! Naruto go help him now!" She snarled at Naruto.
"O-Oh okay Sorry Sakura-Chan!" He said hurriedly while death waves radiated off of her.
"You too Uchiha! Help Sam!" She said angrily while scowling.
"I'm not leaving you. Naruto will be fine, I'll get Itachi soon. Right now I have to guard you and make sure you don't die on my watch." He said with a Small smirk, while his mind added or on anyone else's watch.
"Fine." She said with a sigh before she focused her chakra and closed her eyes, she leaned against Sasuke muscular chest. She breathed slowly inhaling ...exhaling. She did one hand sign and a green small diamond appeared on her forehead a little above her eyebrows.
Her wounds and charcoaled skin started to heal and was replaced by new skin and new blood cells, her clothes were messy and ripped, she had blood in her hair and on her fair skin, but that wouldn't matter right now. She had to help fight.
She slowly smiled at Sasuke before taking his hand and being pulled up. She jumped to her feet her face becoming emotionless, while her emotions danced in her eyes. Determination. Anger. Protective.
Sasuke's eyes showed: Hatred, Anger, Proudness, Protectivness, and Possessivness. All for the girl that was by his side and aimed at the people that hurt her once, they wouldn't get a chance to do so again.
In seconds they appeared on Itachi's left and right, Sasuke Chidori in hand. Sakura fist closed and Chakra seeping threw her skin. Naruto appeared in front of him rasengan swirling madly.
All three battle cries echoed through the silent clearing. Itachi's body flew backwards right into Sasuke and Sakura's awaiting attacks, Sasuke hit his abdomen and Sakura broke his left rib cage, six of them. He fell to the ground immobile from the physical beat down.
On seconds Naruto exploded, red Chakra went flying. Sasuke grabbed the frozen Sakura and jumped away onto a safe branch. She went limp in his arms before regaining herself, he stared at her for a moment. He almost lost her... again.
He wouldn't let that happen. His grip tightened on her and he jumped down from the branch, the delicate girl still in his arms. Naruto stood in the middle of the clearing, red chakra pouring out of his body.
Sakura ran up the tree that was vertical to the Kyuubi host. She flipped threw the air and threw kunai and shuriken at the only Akatsuki member left. Madara. Tenten leaped in the air and pulled her scrolls out and started firing off all of her weapons.
He dodged most but was slowing down, Sakura started falling, she used the Kyuubi's tail as a trampoline and flew back in the air. Madara appeared below Naruto and kicked him in the air, making Tenten get out of the air. Sakura dodged his tails while falling, she started to lose conscious as she fell.
She lastly flipped Naruto around so she hugged him as they fell, she was on bottom, Madara sent a kunai and it hit her back, blood spat out of her mouth and out of her back, she did one last thing before losing complete councious from pain and exhaustion.
She threw ten kunai with explosive tags on them. The ground erupted and cracked, she held onto Naruto, water started filling the bottom of the deep Cavan she made, her hand slipped from Naruto's and she fell in the water after him.
He swam to the surface. "Get Sakura!" he chocked out while Hinata pulled him up.
