Andy stood there in the parking lot of 15, staring into Sam's eyes as he tried to tell her that what she did was the right thing. If she were honest with herself, she definitely didn't do it for him. She had moved on and was happy, as was he with Marlo. At least until today he was. Marlo had grown on Andy, and being the mature adult she was, she viewed Marlo as a friend. But she especially felt sympathy for her. Not that Marlo needed her pity; Marlo was a strong woman and a good cop; but Andy could see herself in Marlo's shoes and understood why Marlo did what she did.

"Why do I need to follow your rules, Sam? You can't just expect me to drop everything on a whim to help you out with something." Andy challenged.

Sam hesitated, not knowing what to say at first.

"You know," Andy cut him off, "I didn't do it for you. I did this for her. But I shouldn't have had to, because you shouldn't have asked."

"I didn't know who else to go to, I needed your help," he tried to explain.

"You shouldn't have asked me to risk my career for this."

"What?"

"I could have gotten in serious trouble today if I had been caught. Hell, Oliver is pissed at me because I was gone all day and left him canvassing, which is where I should have been. And what was I supposed to tell him? That my ex-boyfriend needed a personal favor to cover his new girlfriend's," Andy paused and looked around to see if anyone was in earshot of them before hissing, "bipolar behavior?"

"I'm sorry, alright?" He confessed hastily. "I'm sorry I got you in trouble," He said as she walked around him, ready to exit the parking lot. "Hey," he said, getting her attention. "Thank you, Andy."

She gave him one last resigned look. "Like I said, it wasn't for you."

And with that she turned around and left an empty Sam Swarek standing in the parking lot, unsure of what to do and what to feel.

I am not 'back,' kids. Sorry to say that writing fanfiction has taken the back (way way back, actually) burner for the past few months. But be assured that slowly but surely, those of you who keep PMing me and reviewing Academy Days, the next chapter will be published eventually. It's like a third of the way done and when I find 5 or 10 minutes here or there, I really do try to work on it.

This little tidbit of ff is just pure rage at Sam this episode and I immediately got my laptop out to type this short little excerpt up after the episode ended. I'm sorry if some of the things are not word for word canon at the beginning, or if you find any grammar mistakes.

Please, kindhearted people of rookie blue fanfiction, take the time to enjoy and review, because reviews and support might just be the thing to light the fire that is needed to spur me back into the world of fanfiction again ;)
