Authors note: so here is the next chapter, im sorry its short but I wanted to post at least one chapter this weekend, so keep an eye out there may possibly be another chapter before Tuesday.
like I said this chapter is short the next one will be longer, as usual as long as your reading it, il keep writing it!
so here it is chapter 15
Dani and Santana where seated on the couch, a dead silence filled the air. Santana was the first to break the silence "Dani what's wrong you're really starting to scare me now, please say something" Dani lifted her head up to look at Santana "sorry I just thought you should know that I bumped into Lucy today at the grocery store and we got talking and went for coffee, it was just for a quick catch up but I thought you should know because I don't want it creeping up and it having massive repercussions"
Santana looked at Dani who was the worried one now "babe, that's cool, don't worry about it you guys only went for coffee and a chat Id have been worried if you had said you were leaving me this, im okay with it, as long as it doesn't develop into anything more than friends having coffee" Dani smiled at Santana "of course it won't go any further than that, Lucy is part of my past, she actually helped me a lot back in the day, moving to New York was more than just a fresh start or a new beginning it was an escape from the old life, one I had hoped could have been left behind with my family but it followed me and Lucy was the one who helped me"
Santana looked at Dani rather weird and Dani knew straight away she was curious. "An escape?, What do you mean babe?" Dani lowered her head and Santana brushed a loose strand of her hand behind her ear "C'mon Dani, you know you can talk to me" Dani nodded "I know you are san, its just still a pretty sensitive subject for me to talk about" Santana gave a caring nod "its okay we don't have to talk about it right now, take your time, tell me when you're ready" Dani took a minute to compose herself
"No im alright I just need a minute to think of how to say this, before I left home I was diagnosed with depression and an eating disorder, my parents made my life a living hell this was just before they caught me in the basement, they monitored me 24/7 I wasn't aloud out on my own which meant I could go out on walks alone which really sucked when I need a cigarette" Santana looked at Dani with daggers in her eyes "you smoke?" Dani laughed at Santana's cold stare "correction I Smoked, it was a bit of a phase in high school, it didn't last very long my parents blamed my eating disorder on the smoking but it had absolutely nothing to do with smoking and when I couldn't get out or do anything like a normal teenager my depression kicked in big time and I couldn't deal with it anymore the constant stares, my parents, teachers, neighbours constantly keeping tabs on me, it was killing me. So I packed up all my shit and got the fuck out of there" Santana leant in and gave Dani a hug.
"did you not have anyone to talk to back home, a friend or anything like that" Dani shook her head "once it got out that I had all these problems no one really wanted to know me anymore" Dani had tears in her eyes. "aw baby, come here, they were all stupid for leaving you and as for your parents monitoring you… I think they may have just been concerned but they should have at least give you some space" Dani dried her eyes "Im glad you know now it'll be a little bit easier if I ever fall into that frame of mind again, its good to know that you'll be here to support me… you will wont you?"
Santana looked directly into Dani's eyes "of course I will be beautiful, I will always be here for you and if you ever feel yourself losing control, come talk to me, okay you don't ever need to be afraid okay?" Dani nodded and smiled at Santana. "okay, your amazing do you know that" Santana smiled and nodded "you won't be saying that if I burn you dinner, I better get back to the kitchen make sure everything is alright. You coming in with me or?" Dani smiled and nodded "yeah il coming just give me a minute" Santana nodded, she leaned in and kissed Dani "take your time babe".
