Derek's POV

I won't leave him in day care like this because I know that I won't get anything done, I am so sorry to do this I know you were looking forward to having me back but I can't do it, plus I don't think he is quite ready to be away from me just yet so maybe in a few months we can try again" Hotch then says "Penelope I know exactly how you feel and it's ok if you are not ready to come back we can wait a few months and then we can try again but in the meantime you can continue working from home if that is what is going to make life easier."
I look at Derek and he says "thank you Hotch for being so understanding and when the time is right Penelope will be back, also do we have any cases at the moment" Hotch shook his head and said "no we don't have any cases at the moment why do you ask?" Derek says "I wanted to see if their was any possibility that I could take the day off and spend it with my family we have a traumatic morning and I wanted to take them somewhere special" Hotch smiles and says "go on get out of here and enjoy your day as a family."
