I have been gone, I know terrible updater but hear me out, I had no laptop so, I think that's a pretty legit reason to have been gone for so long. Anyway, here is the next chapter for Oh, Catastrophe, I hope you enjoy.

Things had surprisingly gone well for our two love birds so far. Marshall lived up to his promises to not even so much look at another girl and the water seemed well on the horizon. But, as life proves to us all time and time again, not everything stays well for long, for the horrid mistress that is misfortune must always, eventually, show up at least once.

It had been like any other day for the pale, young couple, as the made their way to the park. When suddenly someone called out Marshall's name.
Both Marshall Lee and Marceline turned around to see none other than Marshall Lee's very first girlfriend, Ashley.
"Ashley, what are you doing here?" Marshall asked confused as he had not seen the girl he calls The Bitch Who Started It All since she broke up with him all those years ago when Marshall was nothing more than a hormonal pre-teen, actually not much had changed except for the fact that Marshall was now a hormonal teenager, but that's honestly not much of a difference.
"I was just walking home, thinking of you as I do so often, you know always thinking of what could have been between the two of us and everything. I guess it's a good thing that I ran into you, do you maybe wanna do something later on?" she asked, seemingly not noticing Marceline.
"I'm kinda with someone right now," Marshall Lee said trying his hardest to keep himself and Marceline calm.
"Oh her? You have got to be kidding me! Marshall, we both know that she can't compare with me, and besides from what I heard, you'll be done with her by tonight."
"Look here you sick, twisted witch," Marceline began as she move closer to the other girl.
"Tell her to chill out, Marshy, it's not like I'm lying," Ashley said with the same monotone voice that she had used to break Marshall's then young heart all those (not really) years ago, turning him into the person that he had told Marceline he would not become again.
"No, you look here, you can't just break someone's heart and show up out of the blue demanding me to take you back. It doesn't work that way ok? I actually wanna keep the same girl for a while now, do you get that? I might have been that guy that you heard about, but not anymore, because I have a reason to change, so Ashley, please, get away from me and my girlfriend," Marshall said as he stepped in front of Marceline when he saw that she looked like she was ready to be in a World Star Hip Hop video at any given moment.
"Marshall Lee, come on and stop being so stupid we all know who it is that you want, now let's go," Ashley said as she held out her had for Marshall to take and follow after her lead.
"No."
"What?"
"I said no," Marshall Lee said, as he firmly stood his ground taking Marceline's hand, as a way to show her that he was completely serious about staying with her and not giving her up for any random girl that should just so happen to appear in his life.
"Fine, whatever, just remember, I will bring down an unholy catastrophe on this fictional world that you have seemed to have built up with this nobody, and also, this is for you emo wannabe," she said looking at Marline, "I had him first."
With that the pair saw the Bitch That Started It All walk away.
"I really think that I hate her, I really do," Marceline said after a while.
"I know," Marshall said kissing the top of her head, "I think I do too."
"Can we just go back home?" Marceline asked.
"Netflix all night?"
"Hell yeah."
"Off we go!" Marshall said as he grabbed her hand and ran off in the direction of Marceline's house as they both laughed, excited about what shows or movies they were going to watch that night.
