Jasper Sorontine

My limbs froze as the alarms wailed. What was happening? Was a tribute escaping? My heart sank. If someone did try to run, then I might get killed before the games even started. The president might decide to punish us!

I cover my ears and close my eyes, waiting to be taken into custody. I won't ever see anyone again...

I jolted up, wondering why I was acting so pessimistic. This was my chance to escape too. I was about to consider running too when I heard another set of alarms.

Great. Someone else decided to run also. My dreams of escaping died, and I waited for the private sessions or whatever was going to happen to be over.

Belle Jamie

I ran as soon as the alarms started. My heart thumped wildly. What would happen? I needed to get out of here! I ran and ran, my lungs burning. I never ran into any peacekeepers, which was lucky for me. The twists and turns of the halls were making me dizzy, but I kept on, determined not to get caught.

My sprits lifted when I saw an elevator. I got on and clicked the ground level button. When I got to the floor, peacekeepers swarmed, and the alarm was still blaring. I managed to get through them without being caught.

I dashed towards the front. But then I realized that it was locked! No, no! This couldn't be happening. Freedom was in my grasp.

Lockdown.

Of course. I noticed that the crowd of peacekeepers started to disperse, going to positions. I made it to the elevator, not believing my luck. I hit the highest number possible.

17. That was the roof. Somehow I could try to get off from there, and then I'd figure out what to do next.
