Chapter 22- A close encounter
Yes. I am postponing the arena with one more chapter. I am so evil. X3 I wonder how Belle will be replaced in the games. Hmmmmm...
I staggered and shivered as I stepped out of the pool. I smiled despite of myself. I had escaped. I was free! Then I heard the familiar footsteps of peacekeepers. I clenched my fists and looked around. There! I saw an alley. It looked a little...dark and scary. I gritted my teeth and ran into it. I had a natural fear of the dark, so this alley did not help. It did, however, conceal me from peacekeepers who looking for me.
I sighed and scurried as fast as I could out of the alley. I looked at the scene in front of me and grimly smiled. It was a makeup store. It was perfect so that I could make a disguise.
I rushed inside and immediately regretted my hasty decision. I had forgotten that I still had my training center uniform on and I froze. The one lady in the shop gasped. I knew for sure that she was going to report me or something. Then she did something I did not expect.
"You survived!" She grinned.
