Thank you to my newest follower and all who have given me such lovely reviews! I hope I do not disappoint! Arigato!

I do not own Naruto.

"Damn it!" my father shouted.

I jerked my body towards Kisame who was already making his way to me. I felt his large hands grip my shoulder and pull me into his chest; as if to shield my eyes from the scene that had just unfolded.

My father walked towards the fallen woman and lifted her body up from the pool of blood, gently carrying her lifeless form toward the bed. He turned back to Kisame and me, with a look of fury in his dark eyes. Crimson blood covered his ANBU vest and his long arms.

"Kisame, take her away from here." My father said calmly.

I looked to my father and reached out to him with shaking arms.

"Outo-san please let me help you…." I spoke barely above a whisper.

My father brushed past me without even a second glance and disappeared from my view.

I could feel Kisame running his arms down my legs in order to lift me up from the ground, but I quickly turned to him and took a step backwards.

"K-Kisame…." I whispered.

Kisame stared at me through lidded eyes and then took a step towards me.

"You will not disobey me girl." He growled down to me.

I glared at Kisame and turned my body, sprinting towards the door. Suddenly, I felt something squeeze my arm in a bruising grip, flinging me up into the air and slamming me against the wall.

"Kisame!" I choked out.

He ran his hot hands around my neck and brought his face to mine.

"The weak are meat for the strong to eat, girl." He whispered with a sick smirk.

I stared at him with wide eyes and felt his hands apply even more pressure to my neck just before he let my body drop to the ground underneath us. My body hit the floor hard, and I heard Kisame chuckle.

I looked to him with fear present in my eyes. My shaking hand reached for his and he jerked me from the dusty floor and into his arms. He made his way towards the door and we made our way down the long hallway lit with torches. We felt the ground above us shaking.

Kisame stopped and sat me down on the solid rock beneath us.

"Sounds like they are having fun up there." He chuckled

When the ground above us grew dormant, Kisame and I made our way towards a large door at the end of the hallway. He reached his long arm towards the door and turned the knob, turning to me and putting his finger over his mouth.

I stepped behind him and watched as he looked around the door for anything suspicious. When he finally decided that everything was safe, I watched him open the door and introduce a gigantic set of stairs up to the ground above.

Kisame turned to me a waved me forward.

"Stay behind me." He said sternly.

I nodded as we started to climb the never-ending stairs. The higher we climbed, the brighter the area before us got. When we finally climbed up and planted our feet onto the dusty ground. I pulled my arms above my head after I noticed the sun shining brightly in the sky. When I turned to the village behind us; now, I realized where all the commotion was coming from.

Fire.

It was everywhere and I was having a hard time processing the scene behind me. They buildings were crumbling and the loud screams were muted by all of the debris falling to the ground. The sight of people running, crawling, and clawing their way away from the giant rocks and smoke made my stomach churn.

"W-what…." I felt my body start to shake uncontrollably.

Kisame blocked my view of the village and gently pulled my face to his.

"We've got to leave, now." He said with a serious face.

"Yin!" a familiar voice called out to me. "Yin! Are you alright?"

I peeked around Kisame and saw my brother making his way through the heavy smoke to me.

"N-n-ni-san!" I screamed out, clutching at Kisame's cloak.

Kisame wrapped his arms around my body and took off into the forest.

I watched my brother disappear behind us and felt Kisame's grip on my body tighten. Kisame's extreme speed was making the whole forest past by us in a blur and his grip on my torso was so tight that I was having trouble catching my breath.

"Kisame…."I whispered.

I felt his grip on me loosen slightly and then I felt him stop.

We hit the ground below us and he released me from his crushing hold.

I looked around to take in my surroundings and soon realized we were back at the base. The gigantic dojo house was in front of us and we were standing in the middle of the grassy field leading to it. When I examined the house a little closer, I noticed that Tobi was standing on the porch.

Kisame grabbed my arm and began to pull me the man standing before us.

"Was he able to get through to her, Kisame?" Tobi said with a dark tone.

I felt Kisame's grip on my arm tighten as he began to speak. "Yes."

I looked to Tobi who was making his was to me.

The masked man lifted his hands up to my face and brushed his fingers across my cheeks.

"He will come back for her soon. Deidara and Zetsu were sent to keep track of him. We'll just have to wait until the time comes." He said calmly.

Tobi dropped his hands from my face and made his way towards the forest. He turned his body to face ours and nodded towards Kisame.

I looked up at the tall man next to me as I felt my heart sink deeper into my chest.

"W-what's happening Kisame? Why aren't we helping Outo-san?" I asked.

Kisame looked down to me.

"Your father can take care of himself." He said sternly.

"But what about…." I whispered.

Kisame raised an eyebrow in my direction and pulled my body closer to his. He grabbed both of my arms with his large hands and leaned his face down to mine.

"What." He growled.

I winced at his tone and tried to pull away from his crush grip. Kisame jerked my body forward to face him and I could feel fear start to bubble up into my eyes.

He searched my face with his eyes for a moment and then released the hold he had on my arms. Kisame then straightened his back and turned to face the dojo in front of us. He took in a deep breath, shrugging his shoulders.

"How can I get you to understand…."Kisame's sounded frustrated. "Face the honest truth; you will never be the person you were." He turned to me as I hung my head hearing such harsh words. "You don't have time to weigh your options or even think, so I am doing it for you. I am protecting you from the life that you once had, the previous life that was taken from you by a man that you still care for. Your brother took your life and your father let it happen. And I am supposed to sit back and watch them destroy you, is that what you want?" he grabbed my face in his hands and leaned down to whisper in my ear, "There isn't anyone who can take you away from me." He whispered tangling his fingers in my hair.

Kisame pulled his head back just enough to stare into my eyes.

"When are you going to realize that I won't let you kill yourself." He breathed, lowering his head.

Shock.

I was stricken with so many emotions at once that my knees became weak. Tears started to well up in my eyes and my breath began to quicken.

Kisame lifted his head and stared directly into my eyes for what seemed like a life time.

My chest felt like it was caving in on itself and I could feel blood rushing to my cheeks.

'What is this…?' I thought.

I watched Kisame straighten his back and turn to the dojo; sighing just before speaking.

"When the sun sets, we will be leaving."
