Hello everyone! I just wanted to say I hope you all enjoy this latest update. And I just wanted to give a special shout out to Monni2215. Thank you for all that you do. Love you girl! XOXO
As Lacey ran up the stairs, all she could think about was getting to Danny. She had a lot of apologizing to do. She couldn't believe she didn't believe him when he said he didn't do it. She didn't give him a chance to explain his side of the story. She had been so cold, distant, mean, and nasty to him. Granted, she was incredibly hurt, but she should have at least let him talk. But she really did believe that he had done that to her. She didn't want to believe it, but it was in living color. She couldn't believe that she really thought he was capable of that.
She tore off her pajamas and put on a pair of jeans and a sweater. She had to stop and get her bearings for a minute. She reached inside her nightstand and grabbed the one thing of his that she didn't destroy or give back to him. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at the picture she had of him. The one she slept with every night. She held it close to her chest and then brought it to her lips and kissed it. But then she stopped as a thought crept into her mind.
What if he doesn't forgive me?
What if I'm too late?
What if my apology isn't enough?
Lacey let the worst run through her mind, but quickly came to her senses. Danny had tried to get back with her since their breakup. Of course he would forgive her. Right? Lacey quickly finished getting ready as she stepped into her boots before leaving her room and heading to Clara's. Lacey knocks on the door to alert Clara of her plans.
Clara opens the door with a weird look on her face. "Yes?" She says.
"I'm getting ready to leave. Tell Mom I'll be back soon." Lacey says as she turns to leave.
"Is he your new boyfriend?" Clara asks.
Lacey stops and turns around. "Who Cole? No we're just friends. I promise." Lacey says.
Clara looks a little disappointed. "Oh. He's really cute." Clara says as she starts to smile. "He's almost as cute as Danny."
Lacey smiles at her little sister. "Yeah, Cole is cute. But he's taken. And he's Danny's friend and mine. Plus, he's too old for you." Lacey says to Clara who has started to blush.
"I know he's too old for me. He's cute though." Clara admits.
"Well, we're getting ready to leave. I'll see you later." Lacey says as she finally heads for the stairs. As she's coming down, the front door opens. Judy walks in as Cole stands up. "Hey, Mom. This is my friend, Cole. We were just leaving." Lacey says to her surprised mother.
"Hello, Lacey. Hello, Cole. Where are you two going?" Judy replies.
"We just have to go talk to a friend in need. That's all. I'll be back soon." Lacey says as she slips her coat on. "Bye, Mom." Cole just smiles and waves as he follows Lacey out the door. Judy can't help but notice that Lacey seemed to be back to normal. She was so depressed the last couple of weeks and Judy didn't notice a hint of that just now. She prays it isn't temporary.
Lacey and Cole are driving along to Danny's house just listening to the music playing on the radio, when Cole reaches forward to turn it down before speaking. "Are you really sure Danny isn't gonna try to kill me? You didn't see the look in his eyes when he said it." Cole says.
"No, Cole. I really don't think he's gonna try to kill you. He might wanna kill Sarita and whoever else may have been involved. But I think he'll be happy that you came to him and told him the truth." Lacey admits truthfully.
"Ok. Good. But do you think we can keep Rico out of this?" Cole asks nervously.
"I think we really need to tell Danny the truth. Rico will be fine. His sister is the problem."
"I fucking hate Sarita. She threatened me as soon as you and Danny started going out, then she suddenly didn't care. I knew she was up to something. It wasn't like her to be so nice. I couldn't believe she went that far to break you two up." Cole confesses.
"Yeah, Rico told me she was being extra nice to his boyfriend and not to trust her. I didn't know he was talking about you, though. She pretended to be nice when we went shopping for homecoming dresses. Then she tried to tell me that Danny is great in bed. I wanted to choke her."
"She's fucking evil. And she's never been with Danny. She's obsessed with him, though. She hates seeing you with him."
"Well, she'll hate it even more when she sees us back together." Lacey says.
"And just so you know, I didn't show that video to anybody but Rico. I know he wouldn't show anybody. I don't know if she showed it to anybody else though. But I haven't heard anybody talking about it. As far as I know, nobody but us has seen it."
"Thank you for not letting it get around. That would have been awful." Lacey says.
They finally pull up in front of Danny's house. As they exit the car, the last person in the world that needed to see them was driving past.
Cole and Lacey walk up to the door and ring the doorbell. The look on Vikram's face is priceless when he opens the door and sees Lacey standing there with Cole. He silently thanks her as he opens the door wider to let them in. "Lacey and Cole, what are you guys doing here?" Vikram asks. Though he's glad that Lacey took his advice to think about reconciling with Danny, he wonders why she's there with Cole.
"Hey, Mr. Desai. We just came to talk to Danny." Cole says as he shakes Vikram's hand.
"Yeah, it's kinda important. He's home, right?" Lacey asks. She saw his car in the driveway, but that really doesn't mean that he's home.
"Yes, he's home. Hopefully, he's in the mood for visitors. Go on up." Vikram says as he's hopeful that Lacey coming to see his son will put him out of his dark mood.
"Thanks." Lacey says as they make their way up the steps to Danny's room. "You knock." Lacey whispers as they're standing in front of his door.
Cole starts to knock. There's no answer. Cole knocks louder, and finally they hear, "Yeah?!" Danny doesn't seem to be in the mood for visitors.
"Danny, it's Cole. Open the door."
"Cole, I'm not in the mood right now. I'll see you at school tomorrow." Danny says. He sounds frustrated.
"Danny, come on man. Open up. It's important." Cole says as he looks at Lacey and shakes his head.
"I'm still not in the mood, Cole. Go away." Danny says.
"It's about Lacey." Cole says hoping those are the magic words to get him to open the door. Lacey stands off to the side so that he won't immediately see her when he opens the door.
Danny doesn't even pay attention to his surroundings as he opens the door for Cole and turns to walk back to sit on his chair. "What about Lacey?" Danny asks as he's finally seated. He almost loses it when he sees that Lacey is right behind Cole as they walk into his room. He sees that she has a nervous smile on her face as she closes the door. He takes that as a good sign. "Lacey? What are you doing here?" He asks hopefully. He has already forgotten that Cole is standing right there.
"We came to talk to you." Lacey says as she sits next to him on the loveseat.
"About what? What's going on?" Danny asks questioningly.
Cole sighs nervously as he sits on the floor in front of Lacey and Danny. He makes no effort to start talking. Lacey decides to speak up for him.
"Cole has something to tell you. You have to promise to be open-minded and hear him out, ok?" Lacey says as she grabs his hand. The mere fact that she's willingly touching him excites Danny. He suddenly wishes Cole wasn't there, no matter what he had to tell him.
"Ok. So tell me what you need to tell me." Danny says, almost impatiently.
Cole takes another nervous deep breath. "I'm gay." Cole says as he waits for Danny's reaction.
Danny's eyes get wide as he looks at Cole and then at Lacey. While he is surprised, he wonders what he and Lacey have to do with Cole's sexuality.
"Ok." Danny says. He doesn't care one way or another. Cole is his brother.
"And I have a boyfriend." Cole continues. "It's Rico."
Danny is again confused as to what that has to do with him. So he finally speaks up and asks. "Ok, but what does that have to do with me and Lacey?" Danny asks.
"It has everything to do with you two. Nobody knew I was gay but Rico and Sarita. And she used that against me." Cole says.
"She used it against you how?" Danny asks in confusion.
"She knew I couldn't come out and be on the team. And she threatened to out me if I didn't do what she said."
Danny starts to get uncomfortable and Lacey starts to rub his hand. "So what did she want you to do?" Danny asks.
"She wanted me to break you and Lacey up." Cole confesses nervously.
"How?" Though Danny already knows. He just needs to hear it.
"I'm the reason Lacey saw that video. Sarita gave it to me and told me I either had to make sure Lacey saw it or she was going to release the one she had of me and Rico. I have no idea how she got it, I swear. Danny you've got to believe me."
Danny is furious. "That fucking bitch! I'm gonna kill her!" Danny says as he jumps up from the loveseat, and starts pacing. Neither Lacey nor Cole try to stop him. They feel the exact same way he does.
"You aren't mad at me for doing that?" Cole asks.
"Of course I'm mad, but not at you. She fucking blackmailed you. I just wish you had come forward sooner." Danny says.
"I swear, I don't know how she got it. And I'm sorry I did that to you two. If I could take it back, I would. But you know how much being on the team meant to me." Cole says.
"What do you mean by, meant?" Danny says as he has finally simmered down some and is now sitting beside Lacey again.
"I know you probably don't want me on the team anymore since I'm gay and I did that."
"Cole, you're still on the team as far as I'm concerned. Nobody needs to know you're gay if you don't want them to. I won't tell anybody. You're still my brother and the best wide receiver on the team. That hasn't changed." Danny says.
"But what about Sarita? If she sees you two back together, she's going to go ballistic." Cole says.
Danny looks at Lacey and smiles. "You let us worry about Sarita. Your secret won't leave this room. Promise." Danny says.
Cole stands up. "Thanks, man." Cole says as he and Danny lock hands and embrace in a brotherly hug. "I'm sorry about breaking you two up. Now, I'll leave you two to talk." Cole says as he leaves the room.
Danny walks over to lock the door and comes back to sit next to Lacey on the loveseat. They sit in silence for a moment until Lacey starts to speak.
"Danny, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I'm sorry I didn't let you tell me your side. I'm sorry for believing that you could do that to me. I'm sorry I've been so mean to you. I'm sorry for being so cold towards you. I'm sorry for being a bitch. I'm sorry for throwing the things you gave me away. I'm sorry. For everything." Lacey says as she starts to cry. Danny takes this time to pull her into his arms. He just lets her cry as he holds her and rubs her head.
"I told you I didn't do it. I would never hurt you like that Lacey. Ever. I will never hurt you." Danny says quietly.
"I know that now, but I'm still sorry." Lacey says.
"How could you think I would do something like that though? Didn't you know that I loved you?" Danny asks painfully.
"I had a hard time forgetting about my past. I had a hard time realizing the difference between you and Timmy. I don't think you're anything like him at all though. But I just felt like since it was so easy for him to hurt me, that anybody would be able to hurt me the same way. And then I felt like I was being punished for what I did. That I didn't deserve to be happy because of what I did. And I really did think you were too good to be true. You're essentially perfect, and I'm not, and I didn't think it could be real. I wanted it to be and I prayed that it was real."
"Lacey, I'm not perfect. And it was real Lacey. Everything was real. And you do deserve to be happy. You've got to let Timmy go."
"I know. And I know that my apology might be too little too late, but I still need to apologize. I'm sorry for the way I acted. I just hope you'll at least want to be my friend." Lacey says as she has finally stopped crying, and the tears have subsided.
"That's not gonna work, Lacey." Danny says.
She pulls out of his arms and looks at him, trying to read the expression on his face. Danny and Lacey have a way of communicating without words, but right now, Lacey is unable to read him. She doesn't at all like what he just said, though. But she knows she deserves it. She been unbelievable cruel, mean, bitchy, cold, and nasty towards him. She wouldn't want to be her friend either. "It's not?" Lacey asks nervously.
"No, it's not." Danny says as he gets up and stands in front of her. He must want her to leave.
Lacey exhales. "I understand. I was a little too mean to you. I get it. I wouldn't want to be my friend either." Lacey says as she wipes a tear from her eye. She has cried so much lately, her eyes should be raw. She has never cried this much in her life. She suddenly but surely became a crier. And Lacey at first hated that. Crying made her seem weak. Now she doesn't really care. Bottling her emotions causes her great pain.
Danny turns to look at her. "That's not what I mean, Lacey. I mean there's no way in the world I can just be your friend. I love you way too much for that." Danny says as she smiles down at her.
"So, you forgive me and don't hate me?" Lacey asks.
"Yes and no. Although you did break my heart. But we're even because I broke yours too. Even if I didn't really do what you think I did, your pain was still real." Danny says as he walks over to his closet and disappears inside.
"What are you doing?" Lacey asks. She realizes she still has her coat on but is unsure whether she should take it off or not. She doesn't know how long she'll stay.
Danny is silent for a moment until he walks out of his closet holding something behind his back. "Getting this." He says as he walks back over to her. He pulls the bag she discarded like trash at the park from behind his back.
Lacey eyes grow wide in surprise. "You kept that?" Lacey asks.
"Yes. I knew you were just angry, but I couldn't just leave it there. These things meant something to both of us." Danny says.
"I'm sorry I just threw it away like that. But it hurt too much to keep it. I'm sorry. You're too good to me." Lacey says as she reaches up to take the bag. Danny still has one hand behind his back.
"I know. And I told you I could never be too good to you." Danny says. "I just had to hope that one day we'd work it out and I'd be able to give it back to you." Danny says as he neals in front of her. He pulls his other hand from behind his back. It's the box he gave her for Christmas. He opens it and takes the ring out. "Please say you'll be my girlfriend again and wear this again?" Danny says as he gives her the puppy dog eyes she can't resist.
Lacey wouldn't resist him even if she wanted to. She 100% loved Danny. She starts to tear up again. "Yes, of course. I love you Danny." She says as he slips the ring onto her right hand.
"I love you Lacey." Danny says as he smirks. He jumps up from being on his knee and startles her as he pulls her to her feet. She lets out a yelp as he picks her up and carries her over to bed and lays her down.
"I still have my coat on, Danny." Lacey says as she starts to giggle. "And my boots."
He just stands there and looks at her with a sly smile on his face. "I can't believe you're really here. And as bad as I want to, I don't want to push it too far." Danny says.
"Well I am here and it is real. But what do you mean by pushing it too far?" Lacey asks as she sits up on her elbows.
"I don't want to push it by jumping into bed. I don't want it to seem like our relationship is based on that. I've missed you so much, and it's killing me not to rip your clothes off, but I just think it would be a bad idea." Danny says.
"Well, I don't think our relationship is based on sex at all. And I think that the longer you stand there talking about it, the more time you're wasting on us making up." Lacey says as she grins at him.
"Really?" Danny asks excitedly.
"Yes, really." Lacey says as she stands up to take her coat and boots off. She bends down to unzip them and then steps out of them. She throws her coat so it lands on the chair. As soon as she turns back around, Danny literally attacks her with a kiss. Her lips melt into his as the longing to feel each other's lips takes over and they just devour each other.
Danny reluctantly breaks the kiss as he pulls away and starts to undress Lacey. He slowly removes her sweater and then her bra. He kisses her again before he starts to unbutton her jeans. He pulls them down slowly and he then helps her step out of them and her panties. Danny then quickly removes his tee-shirt. He pulls down his jeans and boxers in one quick fluid motion. He picks her up and she wraps her legs around him as they start to kiss passionately. Danny grabs and starts to run on her ass as he carries her over to the bed and lays her down gently. He climbs on top of her as the passionate kissing continues. He dives in for her neck as he whispers in her ear, "I missed you so much, Lace." He then goes back for her lips. Any other time, he'd be doing an extreme amount of foreplay. But at this moment, his desire to be inside of her and to reconnect with her is too strong and too real to prolong. He reaches inside his nightstand drawer and retrieves a condom and carefully places it on. He lines himself up at her entrance as he continues to kiss her on the lips. He decides to tease her a little bit by moving his penis up to her clit and rubs it close to her as he feels it swell in size. He then goes back to her entrance and slides just the tip in. He moves it around a little and then takes it back out.
"Stop teasing me!" Lacey yells breathlessly.
Danny stops and laughs while he's kissing her. He then takes his penis and pushes it into her slowly and didn't move, just became enveloped in her wetness. He jerked as he felt her walls tighten around his girth. He moved his head to nibble on her earlobe as he started to move his hips into her slowly. He begged and pleaded with himself to last as long as physically possible. She felt so good to him. Too good. He tried to will himself not to unload prematurely. The sensation was powerful; overwhelming to both of them. They had missed each other so much. Their bodies starved and hungered for each other. Danny continued ro will himself to not cum too fast. He missed this and her and wanted to savor the moment. Luckily, his body didn't betray him as he held off for while. "Oh my god, Lace. You feel so good." Danny whispers in her ear as he continues to nibble on her earlobe.
Lacey lets out an undistinguishable moan. "Ah...Danny...Oooh." Lacey says as she bites her lip to keep from screaming out.
After what seems like forever to both of them, they both reach climax, Lacey getting there a little earlier than Danny. Afterwards, Danny pecks Lacey on her lips as he rolls off of her to beside her to catch his breath. He's spent and desperately tries to compose himself. That might just be the best orgasm either one of them has ever had. Maybe it's because they missed each other so much, or maybe it's because they had reached a pivotal moment in their relationship. After what they had gone through, they both understood just how much they loved each other and how much they meant to each other. And at this exact moment in time, they knew that nothing and no one could ruin or tear apart their relationship ever again.
They both laid in a sweaty and euphoria induced mound. Lacey leans closer to him and places her head on his chest. "That was intense." Lacey says.
"Yeah, it was." Danny says as he leans down to peck her on top of her head. "I missed you too much." Danny confesses.
Lacey keeps her head on his chest as she just enjoys the rise and fall of his chest, and feeling his heart beat. Her thoughts are interrupted as another on creeps in and takes over her mind. She asks a dreaded question. "What are we going to do about Sarita?" Lacey asks.
Danny exhales sharply. "I don't know. But it has to be memorable." Danny says.
"We also need to figure out how she got that video." Lacey says.
"I think I know how she got it, but I hope I'm wrong."
"How?" Lacey asks nervously.
"Joe." Is all Danny says as Lacey lifts up to look him in his eyes.
"Joe? Why would Joe do that? Why would you think he'd do that?" Lacey asks. She can't wrap her mind around Danny's best friend doing that, even if he is an asshole.
"I don't know why he'd do it, but it had to be him. Who else had a problem with our relationship besides Sarita?" Danny asks.
Lacey thinks for a moment and she can't come up with anybody other than Joe herself. "You're right. Joe."
"And who else had access to my room? Besides my parents and the housekeeper. Nobody comes in here without supervision. I know I didn't do it, and I know you didn't. Phoebe was in here for a few minutes and we were all around. And Phoebe wouldn't do a thing like that. It had to be Joe. I just have to prove it." Danny says.
Lacey lays her head back on his chest and they both just sit in silence and think. Lacey is thinking how that makes sense, though it doesn't make sense. Then she thinks of what he said to her at Regina's party. As if he sensed that she was thinking about that, Danny asks her another question.
"Are you going to tell me the truth about how Joe got that black eye?" Danny asks.
"There's nothing to tell you." Lacey says. "And why would you think I'd know something about it?"
"Look at me Lace." Danny says. "Can you look me in my eye and tell me you don't know how he got it? I saw the way your body tensed up when Archie asked Joe about it. And you had the same reaction when I asked you about it in Biology."
Lacey knows she can't lie to him. She looks down at the bed. "No." She says as she looks away.
"Did you give him that black eye?" Danny asks.
Lacey exhales before she looks back at him. "Yes." Lacey says.
Danny winces at her admission. He knew it. "What did he do or say to you to get you to hit him?" Danny asks.
"Danny. it's not important. Just let it go. I handled it." Lacey says.
"It is important. If he said or did something inappropriate to get you to hit him, then I need to know about it."
Lacey breathes out in frustration. "He told me that you got kicked out of the game because I stopped sleeping with you. I told him 'fuck you' and I guess he didn't like that so he said he saw the way I fucked you on that video." She pauses because she doesn't want to say the last part. "And then he asked if I could do that to him too because at least he won't record it and show people. Then I hit him." Lacey looks up and she doesn't like the look on Danny's face.
Danny sees red. "He said that to you?" Danny asks through clenched teeth.
"Yes, he did." Lacey admits truthfully.
"Poor Joe." Danny says. And he means it.
After a much-needed second round of making up, Lacey and Danny got dressed. They didn't feel the need to discuss Joe and Sarita even further. They were both on the same page about handling both situations. They both couldn't wait to see the looks on both of their faces when they showed up to school the next day a couple again. If Danny's theory was correct, then Joe would be showing his true colors in no time. It pained Danny to think that his best friend would go that far to hurt him, and in the back of his mind, he hoped he was wrong. But all fingers seemed to point to Joe.
Lacey hated to leave, but she had to get back home. It was a school night, after all. They left Danny's room to head downstairs so Danny could take her home. They ran into Karen when they reached the door. Karen was walking from the kitchen. She was immediately happy to see Lacey.
"Lacey, it's so good to see you again." Karen says as she gives her a hug.
"It's good to see you again too, Ms. Karen." Lacey says as they release from their hug.
Karen looks at both of them and sees how happy they both seem. "Are you two back together?" Karen asks, silently pleading that they say yes.
They both smile. Danny grabs Lacey's hand. "Yup. We're back together." Danny says.
"That's great!" Karen says. She's thrilled at their news.
"Thanks, Mom. We'll I'm just gonna take Lacey home. I'll be back in a little while." Danny says as he opens the door.
"Ok." Karen says as she walks up the stairs. She can't wait to tell Vik the good news.
When Karen enters their bedrooms, she sees Vik in the bed reading the paper. She feels like a kid again as she walks over and hops in the bed.
"Guess what?" Karen says.
"You bought a new pair of shoes?" Vik jokes. He knows his wife is a shopaholic.
"Yes, but that's not it. Danny and Lacey are back together." Karen says. She knows Danny's dark mood is over. She couldn't stand it.
Vik puts his paper down. "Thank god. I wonder if it was our talk or if Cole had something to do with it." Vik says.
Karen is confused. "What are you talking about, Vik?" Karen asks.
Vik lets out a sigh. "I went to see Lacey earlier. We had a nice chat. And then she showed up here with Cole."
"You didn't guilt trip her did you?" Karen asks.
"I didn't have to. It was clear she was already upset. She did start to cry, but it's not because of anything I said. At least I don't think so." Vik says.
"Judy already told me she heard her crying almost every night. I guess that's over since they're back together. I wonder what Cole has to do with it though." Karen says.
"Maybe he had the same idea I had and went to talk to Lacey. It's really not important. I'm just glad things will return to normal." Vik says.
"Me too." Karen says.
When Lacey and Danny arrived at her house, she leaned over and kissed him on the lips. "It's too late for you to come in, plus I have homework to finish." Lacey says as she goes to exit the car.
"I understand, I have homework to finish too. I'll see you in the morning. I love you." Danny says.
"Ok, see you in the morning. I love you too." Lacey says as she leans over and gives him a quick peck on the lips before she gets out of the car and walks up the walkway to her front door. She turns to smile and wave at Danny before disappearing inside.
Lacey calls out, "I'm home!" She heads to the kitchen because she realizes that she missed dinner. She's looking in the fridge when Clara comes into the kitchen. "Hey Clar. What did Mom fix for dinner?"
"Chicken fajitas. I noticed Danny dropped you off." Clara says with a grin on her face.
"You don't miss anything, do you?" Lacey asks as she pulls out the plate she assumes her mother made for her and puts it into the microwave.
"Nope. So are you guys back together?" Clara asks hopefully. She wants to hear Lacey say yes. She hates seeing her so depressed.
Lacey stops and smiles. "Yes. We're back together." Lacey says.
Clara takes the time to jump up and yell, "Yes!" She starts to clap and spin around while Lacey just stands and looks at her. Judy has now made her way down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"What's going on?" Judy asks as she walks over to her daughters.
"Danny and I got back together." Lacey says.
"Thank god!" Judy says. She shares Clara's excitement.
"Wow, you guys are happier than I am. What's that all about?" Lacey asks as she takes her plate out of the microwave.
"Because we don't have to see you mope and be depressed anymore." Clara says.
"And I won't have to hear you cry at night anymore." Judy says with motherly love. "I hated hearing that almost every night."
Lacey is slightly embarrassed. "You could hear me?" Lacey asks.
"Yes, I could. And I'm glad that's over and that you're happy again." Judy says.
"Me too." Clara says.
"Was I really that bad?" Lacey asks as she takes a bite of her dinner.
"Yes." Clara and Judy say simultaneously.
Lacey had her first good nights sleep since she and Danny broke up. She had no reason to cry herself to sleep anymore. And she slept in Danny's shirt. She loved that it smelled just like him. She awoke happy to face the day, instead of dreading it. She really had to put on an act at school, and now she doesn't have to do that anymore. She doesn't have to pretend to be happy, she is. She couldn't wait to see Danny again. She couldn't wait to see Joe and Sarita. She still hoped that Danny was wrong about Joe though. Not that she cared anything about Joe or his well being, she didn't want Danny having to deal with his best friend betraying him in that way.
Lacey decided to wear a deep purple cowl neck sweater accentuated with a black belt, blue jeans and black knee boots. She finished getting ready for the day and made it downstairs to have breakfast with her mom and Clara. She was the first downstairs so she started breakfast for the three of them. She was able to take her time instead of nearly killing herself to allow enough time to walk to school. Now that she and Danny were back together, he'd be there to pick her up and give her a ride to school. She makes each of them an omelet that they all loved. Clara and Judy were really happy to see Lacey be back to her normal self and they had no problem reminding her of that.
As Lacey was pouring orange juice into a glass, Judy spoke up. "It's really good to see you so happy again, Lacey." Judy says and she means it with everything in her.
Lacey looks up and smiles. "Thanks, Mom. It feels good to be back to my normal self. Being depressed is no fun." Lacey admits.
"So you and Danny talked and really hashed out what was wrong?" Judy asks as she sips her coffee.
"Yes. And now our relationship is stronger than ever. I really love him, Mom." Lacey confesses.
"I know. And he really loves you too. I could tell. But are you ever going to tell me what had you both so depressed?"
"It was just a misunderstanding. I thought Danny did something that he didn't do." Lacey says, while still not telling Judy the real reason they broke up. She still does not want Judy to know that a sex tape of her and Danny was made.
"Did that boy who was over here last night have anything to do with it?" Judy asks.
"He was cute." Clara says as she starts to smile.
Judy and Lacey look over at Clara. "I told you he's taken Clara." Lacey says as all three of them laugh.
"I know, I know. He's still cute." Clara says as she goes back to eating her omelet.
Lacey finally answers Judy's question. "Yes, he did. He knew the truth and came to talk to me. He's on the football team with Danny."
"Well, I won't pry too much. I'm just glad everything got resolved." Judy says.
"Me too. Thanks Mom." Lacey says.
The Porters finish up their breakfast and Clara loads up the dishwasher since Lacey cooked. They all Leave each other with well wishes as they go on to start their day. Lacey heads outside where she of course finds Danny waiting for her. She gets an instant smile on her face just at the sight of him. She's so happy that he's back in her life. She gets into the passenger side and immediately leans over to plant a kiss on his lips.
"Good morning, Danny." Lacey says as she smiles.
"Good morning, Lace. God, I missed that." Danny says as he winks at her and pulls off.
"So did I. Are you ready to face the day?" Lacey asks curiously..
"Of course I am. Why? Are you worried?" Danny asks as he looks over at her briefly.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. Plus, I'm worried about Phoebe." Lacey confesses.
"Why are you worried about Phoebe?" Danny asks in concern.
"I thought you knew. Well, she and Joe broke up too." Lacey says.
Danny looks over at her stunned. "What? When? Why? Because of what he said to you?" Danny asks.
"No, I didn't tell her about that. She caught Joe in Regina's room at the party. Apparently, Joe has been cheating on her with Regina." Lacey says and she notices Danny's reaction.
"Joe was sleeping with Regina?" Danny asks in surprise.
Lacey looks over at him. "You really didn't know, did you?" Lacey asks.
"No. But I find it funny that Joe was so worried about our sex life, when he was cheating on Phoebe with Regina. He is such a fucking hypocrite. That makes me want to beat his ass even more. Phoebe is like my sister." Danny says in subtle anger. He's actually mad as hell, but he doesn't want Lacey to know just how mad he is.
Lacey nervously looks over at Danny. She kind of wishes she hadn't said anything. "Yeah, that's really messed up. And how could Regina do that to her friend? I don't want to take sides, but I really have no choice. Phoebe is my friend. I chat with Regina, but we aren't friends. So my loyalty lies with Pheebs. She was really upset the night of the party, so she spent the night. I tried to cheer her up, but I was going through my own thing. We pretty much cried together. Worst sleepover I've ever had." Lacey says.
Danny just gives her a look, but doesn't say anything at first. "You two didn't throw darts at our pictures or makes voodoo dolls, did you?" Danny asks with a smirk.
"I can neither confirm nor deny your allegations, Mr. Desai." Lacey says.
"Then I'll take that as a yes."
Lacey changes the subject. "So what are we doing after school?" Lacey asks.
"Each other." Danny says as he gives her his signature smirk.
Danny and Lacey walked down the hallway hand in hand to their first period class. They ran into Joe in the hallway. The person they couldn't wait to see. The look on his face was a mixture of anger and confusion. Just the look they wanted him to have. Danny clenched Lacey's hand a little tighter as he noticed the look on Joe's face. She lightly squeezed his back as a way of telling him to calm down.
Danny bit the bullet and spoke to him first. "Hey Joe." Danny says as he puts on a fake smile.
Joe easily becomes flustered. "Hey. Are you two back together?" Joe asks nervously. At least he hopes it doesn't come out sounding like he's nervous.
"Yup." Danny says and this time his smile is genuine.
Joe scoffs. "Really?" Joe says.
"Yes, really. You don't sound too happy about that. Do you have a problem with me and Lacey being back together?" Danny asks.
"No." Joe lies.
"Well you shouldn't. You should be happy about it. I guess I won't play bad enough to get kicked out the game anymore." Danny says as he waits for Joe's reaction.
Joe seems to be speechless as he gives Danny an incredibly stupid look. He knows Danny knows what he said to Lacey.
"Right?" Danny asks, the look on his face changing.
"Danny..." Is all Joe can get out before Danny released Lacey's hand and charged at Joe. He picked him up by his collar and slammed him against the locker. Then Danny held him up by his forearm as he jabbed his elbow into Joe's throat.
Danny's sudden action surprised not only Joe and Lacey, but everybody that was in the hallway.
"That shit you said to Lacey at the party, you'd better not ever say again. Do not ever talk to her like that again. Understand? Or you'll get more than a black eye and this." Danny says as he releases him and grabs Lacey's hand and walks into the classroom.
Joe slid unsteadily to his feet to the floor in a coughing fit, trying desperately to catch his breath.
He was severely shook up and couldn't help but worry about what Danny would do to him if he ever found out about him being the one that recorded him and Lacey. It suddenly didn't seem worth it anymore.
He came to that realization far too late.
Joe was naturally quiet the entire day. Danny seemed to return to normal. While he was out of his dark, depressed mood, he still was in a dark place. But this place was wrath and revenge. He and Lacey would definitely get revenge on Joe and Sarita for what they had done to them. Danny knew he couldn't do too much. He had to remember that Joe's father is the chief of police. Joe hid behind that his whole life. But Kyle wouldn't be able to save Joe's ass this time. Once Danny knew for certain and without a doubt that Joe was the one that recorded him having sex with Lacey, Joe would pay.
By the time the teens made it to lunch, they were all just enjoying their day. None of the group knew about what went on between Danny and Joe. They all thought Joe was quiet about his breakup with Phoebe. Phoebe seemed to be taking it in stride. She was hurt, but didn't let it stop her from being her normal self. Phoebe doesn't stay in a bad mood for long no matter what the cause. Meanwhile, Regina was avoiding Phoebe. As popular as she was, she wasn't a confrontational person. She did feel bad about hurting Phoebe, but she really loved Joe. Maybe because he was her polar opposite. While Regina was popular and pretty, she had low self-esteem due to her parents neglecting her. She used her body to get attention. Joe was conceited and had a way of manipulating people to get what he wanted. He told Regina everything she wanted to hear so that he could get what he wanted from her.
So they were sitting at lunch. The guys at their table, the girls at theirs. Joe of course wasn't talking, but Danny was talking to Archie and Cole. Lacey and Phoebe were at the other table talking and laughing because Sarita and Regina weren't there. That is until Sarita stormed in. She headed straight for Cole.
She stood in front of their table with her arms folded, just glaring at him.
Cole finally got tired of her standing there. "What?' Cole asks in a nasty tone.
"You idiot. I fucking saw you take Lacey to Danny's house. You fucking ratted me out, didn't you?" Sarita says. She's right because she did see him take Lacey to Danny's house. And she sat outside his house until she got tired of waiting. It was obvious the reason they hadn't emerged from Danny's house.
Lacey has turned her body towards the guys' table to see what the hell is going on. Phoebe is wondering what's going on too.
"Sarita, I don't know what the hell you're talking about." Cole lies.
Danny stands up. "Sarita, just go sit down and shut up." That's probably the nicest thing he can say to her.
"Hell no, Danny. Cole fucking betrayed me and I think it's time I let everyone in on his little secret."
Cole stands up too. "Sarita. DON'T." Cole says.
"No. I told you what would happen if you crossed me. You wanna tell everybody your secret, or should I?" Sarita asks with a devilish scowl on her face.
"Sarita, I'm fucking warning you!" Cole says as he starts to turn red.
"What secret?" Archie asks.
Everybody in the lunchroom has started to pay attention now.
"Oh, just that pretty boy Cole here is gay and he's banging my brother." Sarita says a several people gasp. Cole just leaves the lunchroom. Archie is looking at Danny and Joe because none of them knew. There's a lot of loud chatter.
Danny looks at Sarita in disgust. "You bitch. You didn't have to do that to him." Danny says. If she was a guy, he'd kick her ass.
Sarita smiles and hunches her shoulders. "Oh well. I told him not to cross me." She says as she turns to walk away and runs right into Lacey. She gave Lacey an "I wish you would look" and that's all Lacey needed.
Lacey punched Sarita so hard she flew across the table. Much harder than she hit Joe. People were surprised Lacey moved that fast because the next thing anyone saw was Lacey on top of her, beating the absolute shit out of her. And nobody bothered to pull Lacey off of her. They heard Sarita screaming for help, and nobody came to her aid. Sarita broke a cardinal rule. You never out somebody.
Lacey was still punching Sarita in the face as the security guards walked up and finally pulled Lacey off of her. Lacey had a handful of Sarita's hair in her hand. They had to pick Sarita up off the floor. She looked like she had been in the boxing ring with Laila Ali. Lacey didn't have a scratch on her, except her sweater was a little ripped. Sarita's bark was definitely bigger than her bite, because Lacey beat the hell out of her. She underestimated Lacey for the last time. When the vice principal walked up and asked what happened, Sarita said, "She attacked me!"
Mr. Bond looked at Lacey then looked around. Nobody said a word, "Is that true?" Mr. Bond asked Lacey.
Lacey was about to open her mouth when Archie says, "No Sir. Sarita hit Lacey first. Lacey was just defending herself."
"That's a lie! She hit me first!" Sarita says as she tries to plead her case and nobody will back her up. Years of being a bitch had finally caught up to her.
"Since nobody will confirm that, I'm going to believe everybody else. I'll take you to the nurse before I call your parents." Mr. Bond says. He then turns to the security guard. "Mr. Murphy, take this young lady to my office." He says gesturing towards Lacey.
Lacey just huffs and grabs her bag and follows Mr. Murphy to the office. The lunchroom was still pretty rowdy, but slowly starting to calm down and return back to normal.
"What the hell just happened?" Archie asks to no one specific.
"Sarita just learned a valuable lesson." Danny says as he grabs his backpack to go and check on Lacey. "Right, Joe?" Danny asks and doesn't even bother waiting for a response.
Joe would get taught his lesson soon enough.
