"Katie you made it" Edward voice felt like a life preserver in the sea I was drowning in.

"Eddie" the Russian beauty squeal leaping into his arms.

"Katie, this is Bella and her fiance Jasper." He introduced us and Bella was giving me a scowl.

"Bella, Jasper this is my fiance Katerina Denali." He wrapped an arm around her and beamed proudly.

"Your fiance, oh thank god." I must had said that out loud because they were all looking at me. "I mean congratulations."

"Bella, are you Bella that broke my Eddie heart." Her accent still was to thick to understand.

"Katie, that was a long time ago." He kissed her head and helped her to a chair and sat next to her.

"Jasper is cowboy?" She was looking at Bella. Bella looked back at her for a minute trying to figure out what she was saying.

"Yes. He's a cowboy." I was more a rancher then a cow thief but I have a feeling there would be too much confusion to explain.

"Cowboy make good lovers." Edward put his head down and looked like he was containing a laugh.

"Yes, they do." Bella responded without missing a beat and kissed me quickly. Now it was my turn to blush.

"Eddie you go get us more vodka I talk to Bella." She shooed me and Edward from the table while she moved closer to Bells and started talking.

"I wanted to apologize for my families behavior back then." He sounded like he was telling the truth.

"Like she said water under the bridge." I was in no mood to talk to him.

"Also,at dinner, I really was interested in her necklace."

"What?"

"Everyone heard you growling when I asked. But seriously our anniversary is coming up and Katie's birthstone is aquamarine."

"Oh, one of my grandfathers friends made it I can give you their card."

"Thanks." He grabbed the bottle as I grabbed the glasses.

"We better get back before my girlfriend makes your girlfriend her girlfriend." It took a moment for what he said to sink in.

"Is that something we have to worry about?"

"Depends on how much Katie has had to drink, she gets a little handsy when she's drunk." We hurried to our girls who were cuddling and laughing.

"Bells."

"Jas, did you know Katie was a model. She's going to be in a western soon." Her arm was around the blond now. "Do the accent again." They both laughed.

"I say pilgrim I reckon y'all best git." It was the a pretty decent imitation but the words were completely wrong.

"Don't use reckon or pilgrim and I think you'll do fine." I suggest she nodded and thanked me.

We had a few drinks together and I found out that Edward wasn't so awful. Katie and Bella wandered off to dance together. You just had to follow all the eyes in the room to find out where they were.

"Is that what it's like to date a model?" I asked him. He laughed and shook his head.

"Not really, she's famous but I'm pretty sure they are looking at Bella. You do know she's way prettier then Katie?"

"Ed." His hands went up.

"Just saying, she's beautiful funny and smart." I nodded in agreement but still wasn't happy. "Can I ask why you two aren't married."

"None of your business." I swigged my beer and glared at him.

"You're right." He paused and look nervous. "I always knew she loved you. Even when she didn't know."

"Ok?"

"Not trying to be creepy, just saying you I just assumes you two would be married and have a litter of kids by now." shrugged and swigged my beer again. The girls returned to our table, she looked tired but happy.

"It is settle, Bella is my new bestie." She looked at Edward. "I say that right?" He smiled and nodded."We all go to circus tomorrow."

"She means one of the cirque du soleil shows." Bella laughed as she hopped into my lap and stole my beer. "Is that okay?"

"No." they both looked at me with a sad face. "We have that dinner with the investors and promised to hang out with our siblings tomorrow. How about the day after?" They both squealed and kissed wither side of my face.

"I like you cowboy. You make bestie smile big. You must be very good lover." Katie was a little too honest.

"He is." She smiled again and stood up pulling my hand to make me get up."I will see you both tomorrow, I have a cowboy to attend to." Now Bella was being to honest. Edward and I exchanged shocked face as she dragged me out of the club.

Once we were in the slightly crowded elevator I had to ask her.

"You really want to hang out with them again?" She laughed and kissed my cheek and played with the button on my shirt.

"Yeah. Katie is a lot of fun, I think her and Emmett will get along. Edward is a completely different person now. He's much more relaxed and she makes him laugh." She kissed my lips and bit my lower lip. "Let's leave talk of them for after I have my way with you." I growled and picked her up throwing her over my shoulder as I ran her to our room.

The next morning I went and got her some coffee and donuts before she woke up. I also check on Emmett and Rose at the booth. I told them what happened last night.

"Yeah I know Bell texted us." Rose said as she handed someone a plastic sample cup of the pink.

"What do y'all think?' I still wasn't sure about befriending the Cullens.

"Like she said bro, it's been a million years. Beside it sounds like the element that made everyone miserable is gone. Edward wasn't that bad of a guy, a little uptight and controlling but from Bells says it was because he had to control his sister so much."

"But he let her get hurt." It was a low blow but they needed to be reminded.

"Again, Alice little bro. If you're not comfortable tell her." This time it was Emmett defending him.

"I don't know really, he really wasn't that bad."Ugh why did he have to grow up and be all mature and shit. I don't want to be an adult I wanted to be a petty child. I hurried back to the room and found her still being a mountain of covers and pillows.

"Bells love, wakey, wakey Jas loves bellsy." I put our drinks down and laid on top of the mountain of comforter.

"I hate that." The mountain growl. I pulled at top until I found her mess of brown waves. I kissed the top of her head.

"You love it. I brought coffee and breakfast." I pressed a kiss into her hair. She wiggled around until her face was visible and gave me a real kiss to thank me for coffee.

"Russians party hard." She mumbles as she rolled out taking off bed. Her naked body walked into bathroom. "Stop ogling my ass Whitlock."

"Just appreciating the view Swan." She threw a small bar of soap at me from the bathroom. A few minutes later she emerges in a robe and sat on the bed to eat the food I brought. Her phone went off and she checked.

"Katie want's to meet us at the booth in thirty." She kissed the tip of my nose and hopped back into the bathroom to take a shower. I followed her in the bathroom to try to talk to her."You joining me?' She wiggled her eyebrows at me as she stepped into the shower.

"I already took one. Bells can we talk" She poked her head out of the curtain.

"What's up?" She disappeared behind the curtain again.

"I don't like Edward." She laughed and appeared again, hair full of shampoo.

"Babe, really. It's been almost eight years. I thought you two got along last night?" She stared at me like I had grown another head.

"Darlin, because of him you got hurt. You were to scared to leave the house." Why has everyone forgotten this.

"Because of Reily I was hurt. He was defending his family, he was wrong and he feels bad about what happened. That was eight years ago, he apologized then and again last night. We were all young and stupid once." She went to rinse her hair and her voice continued. "I can spend the rest of my life being bitter or forgive people and enjoy my life." I pulled the curtain back and she shrieked and threw water at me. I pulled her wet naked body against me and pressed my lips to hers.

"You're the most amazing woman. I love you so much." She laughed and kissed me softly.

" I love you, now if you're going to join me get nekkid and join, if not close the curtain." She kissed my nose as I closed it. My clothes were wet so I had to change.

We joined everyone down stairs and Emmett asked me how I felt about the new found Cullen friendship.

"I don't know bro, I think it's weird. Bella seems to think it's okay. So I'll go along with it but I'm watching the penny colored bastard."

"Okay good, because that Katie chick is hilarious." He slammed his hand on my shoulder and joined the group. The girls were having a good time laughing and doing the wine thing. Emmett, Edward and I sat behind them sipping on a beer.

"So a super model Edward, you landed a super model." Emmett sounded like a twelve year old who had discovered his dads swimsuit edition.

"Ed, call me Ed. Yeah, but she's funny too. Her accent isn't normally this strong but she just got back from seeing her parents." We all to a swig of beer.

"When are you too going to tie the knot. " Emmett thinks everyone should be married.

"She has a photo shot in Hawii next month. We're thinking of doing a small thing on the beach." We all nodded in agreement of the coolness of that. A couple beers later a pouty looking Katie walked over and plopped into Eds lap.

"Bestie said no more wine till you feed me. She says I make people nervous with touchy touchy." She whined and wobbled a little. He kissed her nose and told her he take her to the room for room service. She squealed and kissed him enthusiastically. He blushed and helped her to her feet.

"We'll be back in a little while." They disappeared and we went to find our girls.

"I like Katie, but girl gets handsy." Rose said as she gave Emmett a kiss. "She asked if my boobs were real then proceeded to grab them." Her and Bella started laughing and gave us order to get them fries. I kissed Bella on her lips, she grabbed my wrist before I walked off.

"Thank you for trying. I love you so much." She kissed the inside of my wrist. I leaned forward and kissed her head. We found their fries and brought them back. After awhile Edward and Katie came back in some nice clothes.

"Hey, we have to go have dinner with her manager but I wanted to talk to you before meeting." Edward handed Katie off to Bella and took me aside to a table that wasn't being used.

"I want you to know that if you agree to partner with my uncle you will have to deal with me on a fairly regular basis." I rubbed my hand though my hair.

"Ok." I croaked out, not sure what else to say.

"Secondly, don't order fish. Marcus has this weird thing about people who eat fish at restaurants. Order a whiskey on the rocks. Also if Caius is wearing green cufflinks, ask about them."

"So you think we should partner with them?" He paused and looked at me. He perused his lips and took a deep breath.

"Yes, they are mainly interested in being involved in a winery that will beat Aro in these competitions. I think with their influence and money Bella has a chance of doing that. Because of this you can pretty much make your own conditions. I know you hate the idea of working with me or my family but I think it would be a great thing for the winery." I thanked him and watched as they left. We closed the booth down and went to our room while Rose and Emmett went to eat again.

"I can't get my hair to do anything." She screamed as the brush flew across the room. "I'm chopping it all off with a sword."

"Easy there Mulan." I kissed her robe covered shoulder and handed her brush back to her. "You relax and finish getting ready. I will meet them downstairs for drinks. " She smiled and gave me a big kiss then adjusted my tie.

"What would I do without you." She kissed my nose again and shooed me out the door. I went downstairs to the restaurant we were to meet at. I asked the waiter if they were there yet and he lead me to two men sitting close to each other at the bar.

" , I'm Marcus this is my partner Caius. Where is the lovely Miss Bella I have heard all about?" He shook my hand and had a friendly smile.

"She'll join us shortly, I thought we could have a drink before dinner." I ordered a whiskey on the rocks and he smiled . We chatted a little about the history of the ranch and winery. When I heard her voice across the room asking about us. She had on a beautiful gold one strap dress on with her hair all pulled to the side. Young but mature, serious but fun, she looked amazing.

"This most be the beautiful Bella." He introduced himself again as I helped her to the table. I made sure we didn't order fish and chatted politely though dinner." Bella looked over and saw the shiny green cuffs on Caius jacket.

"Those are the prettiest cuffs I have ever seen, are those peridots?" She asked as she pointed to his jacket. Caius blushed and leaned against Marcus.

"Yes, Marcus gave them to on our sixteenth anniversary. They are also the birthstone of our babies." I must have choked on my drink a little because they all looked at me with amusement.

"Honey, Janie and Alex aren't babies anymore." Marcus smiled at him and squeezed his hand.

"They're my babies." He pulled his phone out and showed Bella a picture of two teenagers.

"You're to young to have teenagers." Bella said smiling at the picture.

"Moisturize sweetheart moisturize." He laughed. "No we adopted them when they were seven. Just can't believe how fast time flies." They both hummed in agreement then decided to go to the bar for a cosmo.

"Do you have a problem with us?" Marcus asked in a serious tone pointing between himself and Caius.

"No sir, I just though y'all were brother so it took me off guard." I was being honest with him. "I have no right to judge you and you've been together sixteen years?

"Nineteen now, so it doesn't bother you're southern sensibilities?" His voice seemed a little amused.

"Nah, not really. Are you interested in partnering with us. I can tell you right now that the winery is still part of the ranch so you can't have any ownership of the land." He laughed and we discussed the details more. We agreed they would get thirty percent of profits and if we expanded off the ranch they get seventy five percent of ownership in that property. Our partners joined us as we were finishing, I ran everything by Bella since it was her baby. She agreed to the terms and said to have everything sent to her to sign.

After dinner we went up to our rooms to celebrate by turning off our phones as so we could spend the night completely alone and without interruptions.
