a/n:Well hello my lovely readers. Sorry for the long term absence? But now I can officially say I am stress free? LOL I am done with my degree paper. YEEEY! Anyway, I really apologize for the long absence as I had mentioned before I got so busy with school and my final degree paper so I ended up focusing on it first buuut! I was able to find time in typing the next chapter. It's gonna be Athrun-Cagalli centric as usual but starting this chapter onwards it might go deeper on the plot and yeah maybe more twist here and there.

"Seriously, I still can't believe you guys are married for months already! You guys act nothing like one" Miriallia Haw exclaimed as she leaned on the bench and stared at her blonde friend who looked apathetic.
"I don't really care" Cagalli replied and rolled her eyes at the group of girls surrounding her blue haired husband as they walked out of the school gate together, completely and utterly ignoring her as he laughed along with them. "He can do whatever he wants." she muttered bitterly and looked away with her brows almost meeting.
"Oh my" Lacus bit her lower lip as she tried to stop herself from smiling. "Someone sounds jealous?~" She sung nudging Cagalli. She looked back at Athrun and spotted Kira halt and looked at her. She waved him a goodbye and pointed at Cagalli signaling him that she needed to stay with her for a while, Kira, Lacus' boyfriend nodded in response and followed Athrun instead. "Our little Cagalli is getting jelly~" she gushed cracking Miriallia up.
Cagalli Yula Athha-Zala lightly flushed at her pink haired friend's statement and abruptly stood up. She turned around and crossed her hands on her chest. " I-I'm not. In fact, I am annoyed that he can flirt around like that with anyone and everyone else aren't bothered about it." She screamed.
"So to cut it short you are jealous."Miriallia hopped infront of her and smirked.
"Jealous and Annoyed are two different things!" Cagalli retorted and glared at her auburn friend. "I don't even like him"
Her two friends exchanged looks and grinned at her blonde friend. "Right"They said sounding doubious
"Looks like you're having the time of your life here." Kira stated as he sat beside his best friend, Athrun on the couch of their karaoke room.
"Not really." He admitted and leaned back on the couch as the group of girls sitting across them busied themselves with the song book. "What about you? Aren't you supposed to be with your girlfriend?"
Kira leaned closer and raised a brow at him. "Aren't you supposed to be with you wife?" He countered and looked at him smugly. "And unlike you I'm going out with Lacus after this."
"Touche" Athrun chuckled. "I'm just killing time. She might still be angry at me. All i did was bother her at class earlier. And you saw how she glared at me when I stepped out of the building right? She looked like she was going to burn a hole in me."
"Why don't we all go to karaoke later?"Athrun suggested out loud to his class. "Everyone should come!"He added and looked at his classmates. Suddenly, the students of 3-B engaged a talk among each other asking each other if they would go or not.
"We'll go!" a group of girls said as they batted their eyes at Athrun. Athrun ignored it and hopped over to Cagalli's desk.
"Right?" He said smiling at her. Cagalli knew he was messing around with her but she tried to brush him off and continued reading her notes. "You should come too!"
"No, thanks I don't want to and I have other things to do." She said without looking at him and focused herself in reviewing. "Now, Go bother someone else. Shoo-shoo!"
Slowly, his trademark smirk crawled playfully on his lips and grabbed her notes. "Reviewing for history eh?" He said as he flipped through the pages of her notes.
"Well, Unlike you, I have no plans on failing." She snapped at him and snatched her notes back.
"Says the one who actually flunked the exam earlier, right my cute little Cagalli" He leaned forward and whispered in her ear. "I can tutor you at home if you want. We can sit together on the couch and cud-mmphh"
Cagalli shoved her notes at Athrun's face and walked out of the room muttering curses, leaving everyone surprised and Athrun trying to repress an amused smile.
"I'm surprised she hasn't attempted to pushed you down the stairs yet or something" the blue haired young man's friend kid as he sipped his own cola.
"Oh, I bet one of these days she would actually do that." He laughed and scratch the back of his head. "Can you take care of things when I'm at the hospital if ever that happens?" He joked.
"Shut up I wont. All you do is tease her and joke around with you guys even done anything couple-ish?"
Athrun shook his head and sighed. "If bickering like old married couple counts then yes."
Suddenly the brown haired young man burst out laughing earning a grunt from his friend. "Seriously? Not even a bit? Can't you even at least talk to her normally?" Kira looked at Athrun.
"I try but all she does is ignore me. So I end up teasing her instead, besides I really find her much amusing when I tease her"He explained as he recalled the times he teased her during breakfast at home, at school, during their dates with their parents.
"Really? Even at home?"
"Well...yeah. "Athrun nodded his head and looked at the red haired girl smiling at him and walking up on the mini stage to sing a song.
Kira stare at his friend in disbelief. "Athrun, you do realize you're a guy and she's still a girl despite the fact that she acts like a boy."
"Yeah. I know I'm aware of that" Athrun nodded his head and bob his head to the beat of the song the red head was singing. "I know you're implying that we are young adults living under one roof and should be doing things that are more couple-ish but it's impossible for us right now" He said truthfully. "especially for her"
The brown haired young man sighed realizing Athrun's point. True enough, Cagalli clearly showed hostility to boys and never once had a boyfriend according to Lacus. Why? He didn't know. Lacus refused to tell him. He was one of the fortunate guys or maybe the only guy who was able to befriend her without getting hated by the blonde. Athrun ironically is probably the man she hated the most and sadly she was tied with him.
"well..you have a point. Knowing Cagalli...she probably detest her life right now" He chuckled and patted Athrun lightly on the back, trying to comfort him. "But you know, she kinda tamed down and she's becoming slightly different from who she was before."
"What?" Athrun's eyes furrowed. "You can tell?"
Kira nodded his head. "If you remember, I probably have known her longer than you."
"so how is she different from before?"
"That's for us to know and for you to find out, buddy." Kira said and pulled his phone out. "Ah, by the way, Lacus wanted me to show you their prom photo last year. I'm sending it to your phone now."
Athrun arched a brow at his friend "Why all of a sudden?" Kira gave him a shrug. He looked at his best friend doubtfully. Was he up to something? First he talks about how Cagalli has changed then he sends him an old photo of Cagalli because his girlfriend asked him to. Not that he didn't want to see the photo but just recently his friends started behaving weirdly. His phone started vibrating and he accepted the picture without even looking it at yet.
"There you go!"Kira flashed him a toothy smile. He swore to himself some girls squealed at the other side of the room. Probably noticing Kira and his glorious smile. "See for yourself" he nudged him as his eyebrows waggled.
Athrun glanced down at his smart phone as he reached for his drink again. His fingers swiftly slid across this screen and opened the image sent to him in his Album. Once the photo flashed in his screen he nearly choke and sputtered the cola on his pants: on the LCD screen of his phone displayed a photo of a young female smiling awkwardly at the camera.
"You have got to be kidding me" He muttered under his breath as he did a double take on the photo.
Her blonde her was longer. It ended up above her breast and it looked so flowy as it was styled to big wavy curls and swept to one side. her fringes were slightly longer almost hiding her sparkling amber eyes and her face looked so natural with make up. She was wearing a tight sweet heart black dress with laces on top and a hot red stilettos.
She was different from the Cagalli who was wearing jeans, converse and shirt whom he sees to different. The girl on the photo was clearly a attractive young woman that was cut out from a fashion magazine. He mentally noted of her legs and the skin exposed. Where was he again last prom night? Probably flirting with some other girls.
Athrun groaned and rubbed his face with his palm. "Why can't she just look like this everyday, Crap" He said as he glance at the photo again and lightly blush.
"Achoo!" Cagalli wiped her nose and groaned. "I can't catch a cold now" She mumbled to herself. Fall was ending and Winter was fast approaching. The season was starting to change and Cagalli has always been weak in the Cold Season. After buttoning her sweater up, she reached for the pasta pack from the top shelf and place it inside her shopping basket.
"Y-you know, adding this would make the pasta taste better."
"What?"The blonde turned around and found a panting Athrun with disheveled hair standing behind her with his trademark smirk brightly stamped across his face and on his hand was a pack of three cheese tomato sauce.
"Hey"He managed to greet her and threw the pack on her basket.
"What are you doing here?"She asked and glared at him suspiciously.
"Helping you with grocery shopping?"He replied bluntly and gave her a small smile.
Cagalli rolled her eyes and turned a heel as she resumed her grocery shopping ."I don't need your help and why do you look all sweaty?"
"I ran all the way from the Karaoke bar to here just to catch up with you?"
That made her stop on her track and looked back at him, confused. He was supposed to be singing his heart out in the karaoke bar with some other girl classmates yet he was already here with her at a grocery store, shopping for food. "Why? Aren't you supposed to be hanging out with your fanclub or something"She asked flatly and resumed her walk along the grocery aisle, looking for other things to buy.
Athrun chuckled and threw his arms behind his head. "I was at the reception area in the karaoke bar when I saw you pass by. I thought of stalking you and quickly said goodbye to Kira and the others "He kidded and continued to explain himself while trailing closely behind his blonde wife. "Besides they got themselves occupied since some of the guys from the class arrived. And I think this is more fun" He said sincerely."Hey, Mushrsoom soup sounds nice for dinner"
"Shut up!"
"You always sound so cranky when I'm around. "He said placing the can of mushroom soup in the basket. "There we go!"
"Hey! Quit throwing random things in my basket! Go get one yourself!" She screamed at him.
"Nope, don't want to" Athrun stuck his tongue out and pulled the basket from Cagalli's hold. "Let me hold this for you" He said as he successfully pried her grip from the basket handles.
Cagalli frowned and tried grabbing the basket back from him. Athrun chuckled as he brought the lightly filled basket above his head and watch Cagalli struggle to reach for it. She glared at him as she tried to step closer towards him unconsciously closing their proximity. "Cagalli, let me hold it."He said.
"NO!"she screamed at him and outstretched her hands upwards, reaching for the green basket."Ugh!"
Athrun sighed and leaned his forehead down against hers. "Let me. For once, can we do something couple-ish and stop fighting even just for today?" He asked her softly as Cagalli stood frozen from his sudden request. Her hands fell on her side and she stepped back from him. "Okay?"
Hesistantly, Cagalli nodded her head and looked away as she felt her cheeks heat up from their sudden body contact. "F-fine. Just get this thing over with. I want to go home and I'm cold" She grumbled.
The blue haired young man smiled. Maybe Kira was right about trying to take it easy with Cagalli and his tip about catching Cagalli unexpectedly because it worked like magic. He dropped the basket on the floor and pulled something out of his backpack. Gently, he wrapped his scarf around her neck and turned around whilst grabbing the basket. His eyes started to scan the items stacked in the shelves. "Hmm.."
"Eh?" Cagalli touched the soft article now wrapped around her neck and looked at Athrun. "Scarf? What about you?"
"I'm too hot for this changing weather you know."He winked at her and immediately earned at kick from her.
"Ego-statistical Bastard!"
"So you were thinking of making a Steak for dinner?"
"Ugh. You bothered me during my grocery shopping... Can't you at least leave me alone in the kitchen instead?"Cagalli turned around and found Athrun leaning on the door frame with an amuse smile on his face.
"Cute apron" He grinned pointing at the frilly ping apron tied around her thin frame.
"S-screw you and Go away!" Cagalli turned red and chucked a slice of carrot at him as he walked towards her
"and let you burn the whole house down I don't think so." Athrun chuckled and grabbed the pan beside her. "let me do the cooking, Cagalli."
Even if a few months had already past since they started living together, Cagalli would still often eat take outs during dinner and refuse to eat dinner with Athrun. Breakfast was unavoidable since Athrun usually cooks her breakfast. It's the first time in months she would actually eat a home made dinner with Athrun and making him do all the work is something she can't allow.
"No let me!" She insisted.
"Cagalli, let me handle the you want to help, you can cut some mushrooms instead. Is that fair enough?" Athrun proposed as he propped his hands on his waist and watch Cagalli ponder on it.
"Fine."She grumbled and grabbed the can of mushrooms from the counter. Silently, both of them did their own work. Athrun was occupied with slicing the sirloin meat into smaller pieces while Cagalli chopped the mushroom for their sauce.
"Fuck" She yelped. Athrun dropped his knife on the chopping board and turned to see Cagalli cursing and holding her finger. Red liquid started to ooze from her finger and she hissed at the pain. Immediately, she ran to the faucet and allowed water to wash over her wound.
"Are you alright?"He asked and saw blood running down the drain mixed with water. He grabbed Cagalli's wrist and pulled her towards the chair. "Sit" He commanded her and walked towards the cupboard producing a first aid kit.
Silently, He treated Cagall's wound and ignored Cagalli's intermittent yelps of pain as Athrun placed some disinfectant on her finger. "Seriously, maybe you should leave all the kitchen duties to me" He sighed.
"Shut up. this is nothin-"She yelped again as Athrun tightened a band-aid around her finger. "Ow, ow, ow! Stupid that hurts!" she hit him lightly on the head.
"I thought this was nothing?" He grinned at her. Cagalli scowled at Athrun who was kneeling in front of her. She watched him fix the first aid kit, putting the items back in it and fiddled with her fingers,awkwardly. "All done then." Athrun smiled. Gently, he held Cagalli's left hand and and brought her injured finger to his lips causing her to blush intensely.
"W-what are you doing!" She managed to scream as she pulled her hand back and place it on her chest while her other hand covered it protectively.
"Just adding a special healing spell, for your finger to heal faster, baby" He winked at her and stood up. "Do me a favor Cagalli and step out of the kitchen before you hurt yourself more" He said. "Go be a good girl and wait for dinner at the living room.""
Cagalli rolled her eyes at the blue haired young man. She stuck her tongue out at Athrun before leaving the kitchen and her unfinished mushroom. Like an obedient child, she sat on the sofa and stared at her wounded finger. Another faint blush decided to crawl on her cheeks as her mind flashed the events that transpired earlier. She shook her head violently and tried to dismissed her thoughts about how soft Athrun's lips were on her finger tips and how warm his hands were.
"Get a grip Cagalli. It's just one of his playful tricks" She muttered softly to herself repeatedly. "Yeah.. just a trick. just a trick"
"BOO!"
Cagalli shrieked and managed to fall off the couch ungraciously as Athrun scared her from behind while she was too busy occupying herself with her chants about Athrun just playing tricks on her. (Yes, she has been chanting the same words for quite a while now). He was obviously, being too abnormally nice to her despite his occasional teasing.
Athrun laughter roared in their house and watched Cagalli struggle up on her feet. "Never had a good laugh in days. You're face was priceless. Man! I should have recorded it. " He slapped his thigh in amusement. Cagalli glared at him and threw her chucks at him. "Ouch! Hey!"
"In case you've forgotten I am injured you creep!"She said as her face flustered in embarrassment.
"it's just a finger" He chuckled and offered a hand. "Dinner is served, darling. "
Cagalli swatted his hand away and punched him on the shoulder. "Yeah Ye-oh?" Cagalli stopped on her tracks as her cellphone started ringing and pulled it out from her pocket.
"Mom?"She answered as she placed the phone on her ear.
"Hi, sweetheart, how are you doing? Are you getting along with Athrun well? Am I going to be a grandma soon?"
Cagalli waved Athrun to go ahead first and walked back to the sofa. "I'm fine, No mom you're aren't going to be a grandmother soon and no we aren't still getting along, in fact I'm about to butcher him alive for scaring the daylights out of me"
"Sounds like you guys are having fun." Via chuckled on the other end of the line and sighed " I was hoping you two had settled down already. Anyway, Lenore talked to me and -"
"Oh no! You two are planning something aren't you" Cagalli groaned guessing what her mother and mother-in-law are up to.
"Bingo~!" Her mother sung on the phone. She sounded so happy and chirpy that it almost creep Cagalli out. "It's just a little photo shoot since we weren't able to do any of it during your abrupt wedding."
Cagalli groaned again and heard Athrun call out asking if she was okay. "I'm fine go eat dinner!" She screamed back and changed her phone onto her other ear. "Mom! The last thing I need is a photo shoot and I'm not doing it with some jerk!"
"Sweetheart! That jerk turns out to be your husband! " Via slightly chided, Cagalli could almost imagine her face already. "Besides Lenore has already scheduled everything this weekend. It's going to be perfect , Cagalli. I promise. Give us a chance. It wont hurt. Just a few smiles here and there and viola you're done!"
"Mom" The blonde sighed heavily and listened to her mom talk about the photo shoot.
"And one more thing. I wanted you to know that-"
Impatient as always, Cagalli cut her mom before she could even finish her sentence "What you've signed us up for a cruise around the world for a honeymoon?!"
Via laughed. "No! but that sounds romantic. I'll take note of that. Maybe after you guys graduate you can go out on a trip together"
"Fuck no! Over my dead body!"
"Language, Cagalli. I taught you better that this. Anyway, as I were saying before you cut me off" She cleared her throat and offered a few second of silence between them.
"What?"
"I'm dating someone again!" Via announced.
"YOU WHAT?!"
So you guys can guess, what next chapter would be. Yes, that's right a photoshoot for Athrun and Cagalli and ofcourse a little bit of Via's revelation. I've given some thought about Via and maybe let her have a partner again. I'm not going to say who for now but you guys will find out eventually. It might be a OC or might not...but he could probably be a important character to our dear characters and change lives. LMAO Aside from that I might add another new character...just to make this story more exciting lol
I hope you guys like it. I'm still retracing my steps on writing fics because I've been too busy writing more on technical and theoretical papers related to my degree.
