Warnings: Gore, blood, later on, YAOI~
Disclaimers: … No The Walking Dead, no freaking Yu-Gi-Oh! Okay?
Let's do this:
"Name's Yami, now let's talk about this plan of yours."
Yugi POV:
Anzu hasn't stopped glaring at me for the past 25—no now 26 minutes. I don't know what I did! Did I offend her in some way, can she read my thoughts? Oh no, if that's true, better stop thinking; I don't want her to know what I really think of her. [A freaking bitch who likes to rub herself against any male part she can find!]
Anyways, Yami seemed to be in a heated discussion with the guy who looked like he belonged in a casino, and Joey had taken to making friends with Tristion [the door keeper, it seems]. I talked to him for a while, and he seems alright. Seto was still worrying over Mokuba, not that I could blame him; the kid was almost killed!
I was started to get bored, it seemed like everybody else was doing something important except for yours truly. I hated feeling useless, and so I started to walk around, seeing if anybody needed help. That's how I met Mai; a sassy blond who knew what needed to be done and wasn't going to take anybody's sass. I could instantly tell that her and Anzu weren't friends, so that was another reason I liked her.
She greeted me warmly, asking if I needed anything. I told her no, and we just started talking about anything. She told me she was a model, but what kind of model remained a secret. Every so often, I would catch her making goo-goo eyes at Joey, and would have to laugh; it seemed like Tristion was doing that same.
"Hey, who's the blond cutie in your group?" She finally asks, as we're just aimlessly playing Uno! with some cards I found in one of the shelves.
"You mean Joey?" I asked, looking at the middle card and making a face, having to draw from the pile and placing a correct card on top of the middle one.
"Yeah, guessing that he's the cute one that Tristion is totally flirting with over there." She says, with a hint of jealousy in her voice. I just can't help but giggle.
"Mai, I'm sorry to inform you, but Joey's taken."
"Well that doesn't surprise me, I mean look at that ass!"
"Mai!" I laugh, I just can't believe that's the first thing she brings up about him!
"What?" She says, smirking a bit, "you know as well as I do that he does have a fine ass. Oh and so does your leader over there." She nods towards Yami, placing her card on top of the one I just put down, changing the number. I blushed at the comment and quickly put my card down.
"I... I suppose he has a nice ass…" I mumble. It's not like I wanted him to hear me! Plus if Anzu heard me… Yikes! Goodbye cruel world. Mai looks at me and grins, showing off her perfect smile. I began going through the lists of types of models in my head, trying to see what the best one she fit.
"But I'm guessing he's taken too," she says nodding towards Anzu, "seeing as she practically tried to get him alone a few minutes before hand. Somebody's eager to get into somebody's pants it seems." Mai snickered at this and placed a card down.
I sighed at the statement, that does seem very Anzu-ish of Anzu. "Well, since they're boyfriend/girlfriend, I guess it's okay if they do do THAT." I replied, looking at my card, realizing I only had one left. "Uno!" I quickly called, saved by a nice topic change.
Mai looked surprised. "What?! No way! Oh yeah, well, I bet it's not the right card!" She sticks her tongue out and places a card down, and I giggle; the match was mine. Placing my card on top of her, I grinned. "I guess this means I win."
She pouted but nodded, "That's the third time in the row, seriously Yugi! Give a woman a break, will ya?!" Smiling, she lightly punched my arm and stretched. "Best three out of four?"
But we never got to the game, when suddenly, their group leader decided to stumble over to where we were. Now this guy smelled of alcohol, and was that tobacco? Was this guy just grabbing whatever he wanted? He sat down next to Mai and made himself at him, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. He glared down at me, moving his sunglasses down his nose to either show me that he was glaring or to get a better look. I have to be honest; this guy gave me the creeps. I did NOT feel safe around him, and having him freely doing what he wanted didn't make me feel any less safe or not sacred.
"So Mai, why are you talking with the enemy?" He asks; turning his head towards her face, brushing his dirty lips against her cheek. I can tell she feels extremely grossed out, I mean who wouldn't be, and she tried to push him away.
"Keith, they have the same goal as us; I think we should team up. It might now be—" She's rudely interrupted with a humorless laugh.
"Oh, oh god. Oh god Mai that was a good one!" He continues to laugh, and I began to feel angry. What right did he have to treat her like this? I glared at him, and through a moment of bravery, I spole.
"Excuse me, sir, but could you please remove your filthy paws from my friend? I don't think she likes the idea of you hanging on her like that."
It was quiet, but her heard it and snapped his gaze on me, and I could almost feel the hatred behind the glare bounce off of my skin. Mai awkwardly patted his hand, whispering something to him. Which makes him smile, get up, and leave us alone. I have a raised eyebrow, but she just waved me off.
"broken promises, nothing really that important." She assures me, but I can't help be feel like she's agreed to something terrible.
After out encounter of the drunkard, Yami finally found us. But this point we were done with games and were trying to create a house made of cards, as detailed as possible. Yami smiles and crouches next to me. I blush at how close he's getting, and look at him.
"Yes? What's up?"
"Oh, just checking in. I also wanted to let you know that Anzu, Duke and I are going to… run an errand for Keith. Just be good okay? You still have your walkie-talkie?" He asks me, like he needs to ask. He knows I still have it, its' attached to my hip, at all times.
A nod is my answer, and ne nods in confirmation. "Good, that's good. We're going to be checking in, so please pay close attention when I buzz you, okay?" I wonder why he continues to ask me these childish questions, but nod my understanding anyways.
He smiles and ruffles my hair, "Great, I'll see you soon." Yami smile and walks towards the two who he's running the errand with. Anzu was giving me the devil's eyes, and the other casino man just kind of ignored me, but bobbed his head at Mia. She smiles and gives him a thumbs up, which is returned with a goofy grin.
Next thing we know, the doors are opening, they're charging out, and the doors slam shut. I hope my last conversation with Yami wasn't about wither or not I had my walkie-talkie. I really hoped that I would see him again and hopefully soon.
Only time could tell.
After a good hour had passed, I was freaking out. Who's good for this long just for an errand? I mean really! During this time, everybody was mostly silent, praying of people to come back, praying that a certain person doesn't.
It was tortures, to say the least. People who were alive came scratching at our door, begging to be let in. They would scream when one of the monsters would find them, and then they were no more. One of them claimed to have a family, a wife and two kids. They were also attacked, and I felt myself crying. Joey comforted me when he could, Mai did most of the comforting. A woman's touch, maybe.
Finally, what seemed like days [it could have been, we had no way of keeping time here] I heard a familiar voice, asking for the doors to be opened. I looked at Tristion, who looked like he did whenever somebody begged to be let in: conflicted and nervous.
But that wasn't some stranger's voice, that was Yami's voice! Meaning that he was back!
"Open the door!" I called out, getting to my feet.
"No, it could just be an imposter!" argued Keith, who was also on his feet.
"Or it could be Yami back from running your silly errand, and what would the point be if he doesn't get let in to give whatever you needed to you?" I argued, and marched over to the door.
Keith had no reply, and so Tristion quickly opened the door. I didn't even wait until he had time to say anything, but I saw the hair as he quickly moved in to the building. That was Yami's hair—he was alive! Not thinking straight, I ran to him, hugging him tight.
"Oh Yami, I'm so glad you're okay!" I sighed, feeling arms wrap around me, tightly.
Nobody made a sound, nobody seemed to move. I noticed that I had hugged him for too long, and tried to pull back, but that tight hold wasn't loosening up. A bit worried I pushed at his chest, and that's when I noticed a few things: Yami was shirtless, Yami got a spray tan, and this person was not Yami.
Gulping, I was spun around, and felt a strong arm hold me in a choke hold.
"Nobody moves or the cutie gets it!" The look-alike stated, and I noticed he was holding—oh no. he was holding a gun. I had just let in a crazy person thinking it was Yami, and they had a gun. And I was the hostage, great.
Keith sneered at him, and I gulped. If anyways was going to get me killed, it was him.
"Just who are you, and what do you want?" Seto quickly jumped in, speaking in a demanding tone.
The man holding me took a step forward, and that's when I noticed my feet weren't touching the ground. This wasn't good. He took another step forward and stopped his advances.
"I want your food and water, and any ammo if you have any." He declares, then I feel something of cold metal press against my temple, and my heart beat picks up, "Or the cutie gets it. Understand? I don't want any funny business."
I was so confused; this man sounded and looked just like Yami, yet this was seemed to be a robber. I grabbed onto the arm hold me up, feeling a bit dizzy. It tighten at first, but relaxed to what it was before, seeing that I wasn't trying to escape.
'Somebody, anybody, Yami, please come help us. We're in huge trouble.' I thought, as Mai made the first move to place her found ammo and pocket knives on a counter space close to the look able- but not too close.
"Very good, now everybody, unless this is really all you got. You must really be hated, cutie." He chuckles darkly and you want to cry, you want to do a lot of things. But in the moment you realized how you seriously walked into the situation, and how sad that was.
I can see everybody very slowly taking gout their belongings and rations and placing them where Mai and placed her things, and I can't help but feel guilty. You just really wished Yami would come back soon. He'd know what to do.
"Is that everything? Good. No, somebody… no, you," the look alike says, point the gun to Mai, "go find a good bag, and make it snappy. We've got places to be."
We've? Could this situation get anyways?
Why yes, yes it can.
