"All this just for booze… Keith better be worth this shit."

Yugi's POV:

Well, this was bad. Really bad, I almost laughed. But that wouldn't help my situation much. The Yami-look-a-like had a rough hold on my hair now and the gun to my neck. Keith finally stepped forward.

"Look, buddy, harsh time, harsh measures, I get that. I understand that. But look, that kid is probably my ticket to booze every now and then, so I rather you didn't, like, kill the boy for a while, yeah?" Keith suggested, holding his hands out like he was trying to make a deal. I felt the gun move closer to my throat, and I gulped.

"You're telling me, you're using somebody's what, brother? You're using somebody's brother so you can get booze. Are you serious?" My attacker slowly turns around to the rest of the group. "This guy seriously can't be your leader, can he?"

Mai stepped up, looking nervous but a lot more confident then Keith.

"Sir, if you are willing to let him go, I can offer you a talk, maybe we could allow you to join our group? There's food we can give, we don't need any blood to be drawn." She calmly explains this to the attacker, who didn't remove the pressure of the gun one bit.

"You think I'll just lower my weapon and allow you to kick my ass the first chance you get? No, if he's already being used as a ticket, might as well be my free meal ticket as well." The attacker spoke, and I swear I could hear a grin in his voice.

"Now this is how this is going to work; this buddy here stays with me. You give me half—no ¾ of your food and I'll leave peacefully. Nobody will get hurt, that I can promise."

"Would you just abandon the poor boy on the side of the road when he can't be any more help? I can't risk the chance of that happening. Plus his… big brother would be p—"

Joey was fuming, and it was taking all Seto had to hold him back, but it didn't stop him from speaking.

"Hey! You let my lil buddy go right now ya hear me, retard?! YA HEAR ME?"

"Joey!" I exclaimed in surprise. He was my best friend during all of this, and here he was, risking his life for me. I was so scared for him, but the man with the gun laughed.

"That's so cute, you know. I'm guessing you two are great friends. Well, shame he's going to be coming with me. Now I'd let your boyfriend there calm you down before I decide how I want to handle you, yeah?"

Joey just growled as he finally allowed Seto to push him into a seat. Mokuba was shaking. Things were now starting to look back, and I started panicking inwardly. Where was Yami? I'm scared, I'm going to die. This is the end, and I didn't even get to say goodbye.

Suddenly, the sound of the door opened, and the attacker quickly turned around to meet three angry looking people.

"What the hell do you think you're fucking doing?" Yami growled, taking a step forward. The attacker froze.

"Ya-Yami?"

Instead of answering, Yami used this to his advantage and was able to get the gun out of his grip and pestle-whip him. He caught a shaken me and let the attacker fall to the ground. I hugged him for dear life, realizing how bad I was shaking. He just continued to hold me close and trying his best to comfort me. I was silently crying, out of what I didn't know. All I needed to know was Yami was here and right now all was good with the world.

The intruder had been secured and locked in the storage area. Yami wasn't spilling anything about the man, or how he might know who he was. I was being smothered by a worried-sick Joey and Mokuba, who was sobbing and finally out of his trance. I was just glad everything was alright, but I knew something was bothering Yami, since he went to interrogate the intruder alone and hasn't been out of the room in an hour. Seto noticed this too, and looked at me.

"Well?" He asked.

"Well what, Seto?" I answered, looking up at him.

"Are you going in there? Aren't you at all curious about what he's doing?" Seto probed. I have to admit, I was curious. What was taking him so long? Was he hurt? Was the attacker being tortured? I looked at Seto, and shifted a bit. But Joey just glared at me then at Seto.

"Yugi was just a hostage, you are NOT going to send him back to the man that held him hostage!" He yelled, causing a few people to look over.

"I know I'm not the only one who wants to know, and sure the bad guy did look like he was going to cause harm, but he had many chances to do so but did he? No. No he did not. I don't think he is a threat, but I do want to know why that hell is going on in there, and you can't say you're not just the least bit curious as well." Seto finishes, giving Joey a challenging look.

Joey sighed, "Fine, but he can't go alone."

Seto growled in annoyance. "He has to go alone or this plane won't work."

I looked between the two of them. Sighing, I hugged Joey's waist, and quickly let go. "I'll tell you everything once I get back." I tell them as I made my way towards storage. This encounter was something I was dreading but something I was looking forward to, in a sense.

As I approached the door, I could hear soft murmurs, and slowly pressed my ear against the door and motioned everyone to be quiet.

"-ate the entire cake and—"

"—and her could barely stop puking!"

Laughter followed, and I was confused. What was going on.

"You know, it was good to catch up 'n all, but really, I'd like to meet that little friend of yours." Says a voice that must be the intruder's, it wasn't Yami's. There was a heavy sigh.

"Maybe, hope on." Metal scrapped concrete and suddenly the door flew open, and I toppled onto a rather ticked Yami. He glared at everybody in the store but then drags me into the small room. I see the intruder untied and truly making himself at him. He grins at me, and I don't know what came over be but whatever it was, it make me shiver. Yami cleared his throat.

He looks at his look-a-like and says. "This is my… Friend, Yugi. Yugi, please meet Yami." I nodded.

"It's a pleasure knowing you, Yugi, I'm Atem. I'm sure you know nothing about me, though. So that's good."

Confused, I turned to Yami.

"What does that mean?" I asked him, and he turned away from me, embarrassed or something like it.

"Ah, geez, making me do all the work, usual bother thing, you know." Atem says, walking over to Yugi and extends his hand.

"I'm Atem, Yami's twin brother. It's nice to meet you, Yugi. I'd have a feeling we'd meet."

And right then and there, I could finally see the connection between the two. And that's when the knowledge was too shocking, I fainted into the arms of the twin that was grinning at me.

HEY! Sorry if this is a bad chapter, I'm really tired so this is probably rushed and sucking, I'm again sorry.

On the other hand, I really hope you enjoyed it! Please R&R, it helps a lot! ^ ^

Until next time, my sweet devils~
