Four months later, it was Christmas and it was also Annie's first Christmas since she left Beverly Hills. Her and Hugh had been seeing each other for four moths and so far, the relationship weas going great but she never felt the same way for him that's he felt for Liam but she was stillunder the belief that Liam didn't love her. Annie had remained in touch with most of her friends from Beverly Hills, most notabloy Dixon but she never told any of them about Hugh
Dixon and Annie made plans for him to come over to Paris. Annie was excited about seeing Dixon again but she was anxious as this would be the first he'd know of Hugh. Three days before Christmas, Annie and her mom Debbie met up so they could both be there to greet Dixon at the airport. They both got talking about their lives in the last few months but Debbie was another person who didn't know Annie was seeing Hugh
Annie knew she would have to eventually tell her and Dixon about her new man but she decided she would do this when she had gotten back to her own place. Annie was nervous about telling her family about Hugh but she knew she would rather have them hear about him from her as opposed to the media. Later on, Annie was at home so she knew it was time to tell her family about Hugh. She said, "Mom, Dixon. There's someone you need to know and I would rather you heard this from me instead of the press. I'm seeing someone. His name is Hugh and I really really like him"
Annie introduced her family to Hugh on Christmas Eve. Both Debbie and Dixon agreed that they felt Hugh wasn't right for Annie. Dixon knew she was using Hugh to cover up the fact she still loved Liam. When he brought this up with his sister, she said, "Liam made it perfectly clear he wanted to move on with his life. I tried so hard to get Liam to love me again but he never seemed to care. He didn't read the end of my book so why should I care about his life? He obviously doesn't care about mine"
