Annie knew she would be staying in Beverly Hills for a while so she told Hugh she might not be able to see him for a while. Hugh told her if she wanted to, he could come with her. This was because not only did he want them to be closer to each other but he wanted to let Liam know that Annie was with him now
Annie was really nervous about going back to Beverly Hills because not only would she be seeing Silver in a really bad way but also because she knew she would be coming face to face with Liam so she decided she would try and avoid him as much as she possibly could. However, she ended up meeting him at the hospital. There was a lot Liam and Annie really wanted to say to each other but all they could do was say hello to each other
Annie was first in to see Silver. Annie told Silver, "I never thought the last time I'd see you would be to say goodbye." Silver told Annie she had written letters for her friends which they were to read in the event of her death. At half three that night, Annie was woken up to a phone call from Dixon. Silver had lost consciousness and her heart started failing and she died not long after
Annie remembered the letter Silver wrote. Curious, she opened it and read it. Silver wrote that even though she knew Annie was seeing Hugh, she knew deep down she still loved Liam so she should maybe try telling Liam her feelings. Annie sighed, "I tried many times, Silver"
Liam also received a letter from Silver telling him he should be honest with Annie and let her know how he feels. Annie and Liam next met at Silver's funeral. Liam thought about what he'd say to Annie while Annie was thinking about everything she had been through with Liam. Later on, Liam approached Annie. He said, "Annie, there's something I should tell you"
Annie said, There's something I should tell you, Liam. Do you know how many times I tried? Many times, Liam! Many times! When your bike was damaged after the hit and run, I had it fixed for you and you thanked me by going out with Vanessa who caused your accident! I took a bullet for you! I got no thanks for that! Remember when you got drunk and you asked me if we talked the night before and I said no! I lied! I told you I still loved you but you fell asleep! You accused me of using you but then you took back Sydney, the woman who actually used you! Did you even read the end of my book, Liam! No, of course you didn't! You said you didn't need to know how it ended! Remember when I said maybe not getting married was a big mistake! I was hoping maybe you'd figure out then you'd know how I felt! I wanted yo to come and get me on the plane but of course taht was only a pathetic dream I had! So no, Liam! I don't need to hear what you have to say! I hate you!," then slapped him across the face and stormed off
