They staggered out of the woods, with stacks and stacks of firewood.
"Good grief Toby! We have enough for like a month.." Martyn dumped his pile next to the fire in an un-orderly manner.
"Well, this way we'll have more time together!" Toby smiled.
Martyn grinned. "Yep. It's getting dark already.. Let's put up the tent."
They proceeded to unpack the tents, Toby endlessly confused by the instructions alone.
"Maaarrtttyyyynnnn… What do I doooo?" whined Toby.
Martyn laughed. "Stop being so cute. Go set up the fire, I can take care of this." Martyn set up the tent quickly, as he had camped a lot before. He walked over to Toby, who had just coaxed the sparks into a blaze. He sat next to Toby, wrapping his arms around him. "Nice!" Martyn kissed Toby's cheek. Toby turned his head, catching Martyn's lips on his own before he pulled away. "What kind of kiss was that, Toby? Try again!" Toby smiled, and crashed his lips onto Martyn's, resting his hands behind Martyn's head. Martyn returned the kiss with equal energy, wrapping his hands around Toby's waist and pulling him closer.
Toby pulled away just enough so he could talk. "Better?" "Much better." said Martyn, leaning back in to continue. Toby thought as he kissed Martyn slowly. "I never realized how much I miss him.. all the time. Every second that he's gone, I just want him close." He held Martyn closer.
Martyn loved the taste of Toby's lips… They reminded him of.. Chocolate? Cookies? He didn't know. But what he did know is that they tasted sweet… He loved it. They eventually broke apart for air. "Toby… Wow." gasped Martyn, smiling.
Toby giggled quietly, then yawned. "Gosh.. I'm tired.. It must be pretty late."
Martyn looked up at the sky. "About 12 or so. Let's go to bed."
They went into the tent and pushed their cots together, not wanting to be alone when it got cold.
