Hey everyone, I am so, so sooo sorry that I haven't updated in such a long time. I've had a lot of things going on at home, and school has become something that I very seriously need to concentrate on, so I haven't had time to write down my thoughts or drafts of the newest chapter. I should be updating a bit more frequently, although I'm not quite sure just yet. I'm not going to leave for as long as I did this time around though, so don't worry. I hope everyone had good holidays, yada yada yada, and yeah. Enjoy, please read, and review this newest chapter!

-Butterfly Daydreams

-Chapter 9-

The next following two weeks, everything seemed to have a slight glow and purpose in Hibari's eyes. He'd look at a door, and randomly develop an idea in his head to somehow get the mousy Herbivore in his arms. Before going to bed at night, he'd feel himself slightly quiver at the thought of his plans actually being successful, and with that excitement came determination. Sawada Tsunayoshi would be his, whether he liked it or not. Besides that, he always enjoyed a good hunt. He began to notice a difference in his Herbivore though. He'd glance over and at Hibari every once and a while and flinch each time he realized that Hibari actually noticed that he was looking. That was a good sign, right..?

Tsuna couldn't understand what was going on with him lately. He found it extremely hard to be around Hibari. There was something different about the Cloud guardian, and he couldn't tell just what it was. There seemed to be this unnatural glow about him, and he couldn't help but want to stare at him, for as long as possible. That was weird though. To be staring at another boy in such fascination. More than that, Hibari had caught him looking more than once. And each and every time he'd try to make it seem as though he was never looking. The red that traveled from his cheeks to his ears told a completely different story. 'Ah, what am I going to do? I have to work with him every single morning and afternoon. Pretty soon I don't know how I'll react to being around him. Can't I just lead a normal life, without any sort of problems? Why couldn't I have been stuck working with Kyoko? Hell, even Hana? Then it wouldn't be so awkward, and I wouldn't be questioning myself. I need to get myself together.' And with that, he continued onto his next class wondering just how exactly he was going to go about his current situation. 'Perhaps I could think of an excuse to wiggle myself out of working with him..? Yeah, that might just work. When hell freezes over.' Sighing deeply, he put his head down to think about it more thoroughly.

As per usual, he had fallen asleep in class. He couldn't understand the current topic in math, let alone any of the topics in math. So what other options did he have other than sleeping? But, it wasn't him sleeping that was his problem. It was his dream. It was filled of only him and Hibari. Hibari and him going to the park together. Hibari and him holding hands. Hibari and him sharing the same spoons while eating parfait together. Every single mini-dream that he had contained him doing something out of the ordinary with Hibari! He couldn't take this anymore. He really didn't want to feel so confused. Something had to be done, pronto. Or he most definitely won't be able to work with the Raven for much longer.

Hibari was filled with ideas. They'd randomly occurred to him while he was writing his paperwork that afternoon. He was going to do other things than just office work and training with Tsuna. Although training seemed to take a surprisingly good turn. Tsuna had begun to slowly read his movements a lot better. He was still more on the defensive side, but he was dodging a lot more instead of just standing there blocking the hits. He'd expect Tsuna to be attacking in a couple of weeks. That's when things will get real juicy. The thought of aggressive physical contact with the boy made Hibari excited. There wasn't anything more attractive to him than someone who was on par with him. Aside from Rokudo Mukuro. He wasn't to be even thought of in that manner. 'Speaking of the Pineapple-Head, he hasn't been around to annoy me in a while. Normally he'd randomly phase into my office rambling about 'Birdie-Chan this, Birdie-Chan that. I guess I should count this as a blessing, as I don't want him finding out about my current status with Tsunayoshi.' Sighing and neatening his last pile of filled out paperwork, Hibari sat back and pondered on what he was going to do today. 'I guess it'd be good to walk around and study actual couples throughout the town.' Getting up and pulling his gakuran off his chair, Hibari got up and walked out his office door. 'I just have to let Kusakabe that I'm heading out and to patrol in my place.

Walking around the school in search of Kusakabe, he found that he conveniently happened to be in Tsuna's class reporting upcoming events. Feeling his heart thump lightly as he looked through the classroom door's window, he saw that his favorite herbivore was nodding off in class. 'Hmph, not paying attention as usual.' And although he'd been thinking that, he had a soft smile on his face. Walking into the classroom, he glanced around the room at all the faces that changed from relaxed and drowsy to alert and paranoid. Excluding Yamamoto and Gokudera's, anyways. While Kusakabe was rambling on about some beach event, Hibari couldn't help but watch Tsuna as he dozed through the whole announcement. He looked so disheveled and cute, it was odd. Hibari couldn't even believe that he was actually watching someone while they slept on top of finding them cute. That's a completely different level of new to him. But, he couldn't help but wanting to touch his head.

Ignoring the onslaught of fearful stares he was receiving as he walked down the aisles in the classroom, he absent-mindedly acted on his thought a singled out Tsuna's sleeping form. When he reached the front of Tsuna's desk, he faintly heard Gokudera quip something to the effect of 'What do you plan on doing to the boss', and Yamamoto's iconic laugh. Slowly and carefully, Hibari's arm ventured towards Tsuna's head. 'Why am I feeling so nervous about this? It's just a simple rub of the head. Calm down, this is not how I'm supposed to act.' Almost pulling his hand back, he decided to just get it over with, and suddenly rushed his hand into the younger boy's hair. Ignoring all of the shocked faces he was receiving, he continued to softly rub Tsuna's hair, reveling in the discovery that his hair was softer than he had ever imagined. And then it happened. Making a soft little snort while still asleep, he seemed to respond to Hibari's warmth instinctively and rubbed his head even deeper into Hibari's palm. After feeling more comfortable, he snorted once again, and fell into a deeper sleep.

Hibari was in such a state of happiness, he was pretty sure he was exuding it throughout the classroom. The whole room, including Kusakabe had become extremely silent. Nobody knew whether to run away screaming or to take pictures of possibly one of the only times they'd see Hibari acting affectionate in any sort of way. The way that Tsuna had reacted to him was by far one of the cutest things he had ever seen. It even reminded him of little animals, and he just adored them. 'How do I go about this, without seeming suspicious? I have Kusakabe, Gokudera, and Yamamoto in the room.' This is not going to end well. 'Ahh, I might as well take this chance.' Silently and softly, Hibari picked up Tsuna and hefted him out of the classroom. 'If you're going to sleep looking like that, you might as well sleep like that in my office where I can appreciate your sleeping expression better.' Ignoring all of the eyes that were burning holes into his back and Gokudera's screaming, he shut the door and walked out. 'Now, just what kind of excuse can I give him once he wakes up..?' Enjoying the warmth that Hibari was giving off, Tsuna sleepily sighed in content, and curled himself closer to his chest as they continued on to the Disciplinary office. 'Damn Herbivore..stop making me want to keep you all to myself.'
