-Butterfly Daydreams
-Chapter 13-
After his bath, Tsuna decided that he'd have a little snack, and then lay in his bed to think. Reborn wasn't home when he got home, and he still wasn't when he got out of his bath. Everyone else was asleep, making the house extremely peaceful and thankfully, quiet. He considered not going to school the next day. It'd be way too awkward for him to stand. Perhaps he should just try to go unnoticed by Hibari. He most definitely wasn't going to go to his early morning training. Same goes for his after school organizing. He was completely serious when he decided that he wasn't going to work with Hibari anymore. In a way though, he felt bad for Hibari. He knew that Hibari didn't really have anyone to bond with, let alone spend time with. But at the same time, he wasn't comfortable with the way Hibari was going about things. Maybe he'd speak with the older boy about it, eventually, anyways. 'It's best for me to sleep on it, I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.' Tucking himself in, and making himself comfortable, he slowly drifted to sleep.
Hibari hated that whole night. That idiot Rokudo Mukuro just wasn't leaving his office. He ignored him for the whole time he was there. He read, while Mukuro went through all of his things around the office. He was pretty sure that he knew all the highs and lows of the room, along with all the things it contained. But the annoying part about it was that he didn't get the obvious hint. He even had the audacity to start up the coffee maker, make a fresh pot, and then drink about two and a half cups of his coffee. Hibari mulled over the fact that he'd more than likely have an extremely upset stomach from all of it. But what was weirder was that he didn't transform back into Chrome. He wanted to know what was going on that he hadn't but he wanted to ignore him as much as possible. Even when he had fallen asleep at his desk after a while, once waking up, the first thing he was greeted with was those horrible hetero-chromatic eyes.
Getting up from his seat, he checked the time. It was 6:30am on the dot. He doubted that he'd find Tsuna on the roof, but he decided to check anyways, just to make sure. He had felt those eyes on his back while he was leaving the room, which made him grit his teeth in anger. Why hadn't he left yet? After reaching the top, and finding that he was in fact right about the boy not being there, he went back to find Mukuro gone. Counting his blessings, he grabbed his gakuran, and went out to the front of the school. Finding Kusakabe there once again, he told him that he was heading home for a little bit to freshen up. Much to his annoyance, when he got inside his home, he found Mukuro sitting on his couch watching the town's news. 'Doesn't he have anything better to do? Surely he wasn't serious when he said he was going to be my friend. Being friends with him is just..horrible. I'd more than likely try to kill him within half an hour of speaking to him.' Glancing over at Mukuro's general direction, he had come to find the taller boy looking directly at him. Fed up with it all, and gave in, by asking "What do you want? Can't you see that I'm busy?"
Mukuro merely stared at him, for what Hibari assumed was about fifteen minutes. Sick of the awkwardness and his own growing frustration, Hibari turned towards to entryway of his bathroom, grabbed a towel, and with a dismissive gesture, told Mukuro to get out. Running the shower water before undressing himself, he stood in front of his mirror and studied himself. More than he had ever before. All of a sudden, he became uncharacteristically self conscience. Was he not good looking to the brunette, and that compiled with his obvious discomfort with their interactions just screwed it all up? Pressing his body over the sink to get a better view of his face, he honestly couldn't find anything wrong with himself. He was tall, dark haired, and had a very mixed shade of grey for his eye color. So no, his looks weren't the problem. It was him also not knowing Tsuna enough to know when to quit. Perhaps, he should try and ask him to spend more time with him, but not with a threat oh so nicely laced behind it. It'd be them strictly hanging out as friends, and him trying to get to know the boy better. Finding out things like what he likes to eat, how he spends his free time, things like that. Pulling away from the mirror and undressing himself, he stepped into the shower, relishing the comforting warmth that came along with it. 'You can do this, Hibari. Just try and be his friend. It's not that hard, you know. I just have to put my best foot forward into this. Hopefully, by the time I get out, Pineapple-head is gone as well..'
Tsuna had ended up going to school anyways. Much to his luck, he found that Hibari wasn't in the school building. He practically did a little jig while walking with Gokudera and Yamamoto when he saw that it was Kusakabe at the front, and not the Raven. Speaking of Gokudera and Yamamoto, he felt oddly detached from them. He hadn't had enough time to spend with them, due to Hibari's antics. He missed them, to say the least. Looking at the two, he felt a slight pang of loneliness hit him. 'Today would be a good day to bring them over, I'd say. Maybe I should invite them over. I'm sure mom would be happy to see them, she has been asking for them. Ah, why the hell not?' Turning to the two other boys, he was about to ask them, until a hand covered his mouth and dragged him around the bend of the hallway. The two boys hadn't noticed, they were too busy smacking the crap out of each other- well, Gokudera was doing the beating, anyways. Sighing at their stupidity, he tried to break out of his captor's grip. They were obviously male, and taller than him- not that many people were shorter than him anyways. The person smelled good, as though they had recently showered, which he appreciated. He wouldn't want someone that stank holding him against their body. 'But just who is it?' Struggling again, the person once again held him in place and then casually bent their head to his shoulder. Shivering at their breath on his hear, he made sure to listen carefully to their voice.
"Herbivore, I came to apologize, although I guess me somewhat kidnapping you wasn't my best choice. But, I'd like to ask..could we possibly start a-" Whatever Hibari was going to say was garbled, because he had decided to suddenly speak extremely fast. Turning his body when he felt that Hibari released his hold on him, he looked him in the eye. Then the most shocking thing possible happened. Hibari broke his eye contact with him, covered his mouth, and his cheeks flushed. 'He's embarrassed?! '
"Hibari-San, do you mind repeating yourself?" He had to know what he said now, it was interesting to know what made him get flustered like that. Coughing, Hibari was again turning a light shade of red, glanced at him, and then quickly turned himself slightly away from him.
"I wanted to know if we could possibly be friends."
