Ambush

Haruka trotted behind Makoto as they both sought the exit of the damn mirror palace. They'd had their fun and it had been simply perfect but now Haruka was sick of their reflections. Makoto had tried to lighten the mood by talking about nothing special just the daily things but Haruka longed for some fresh air. There were absolutely no signs to indicate whether they'd been running around in circles or not.

"This is getting ridiculous," Haruka muttered and when he glanced at Makoto he could faintly see a smirk on the olive-haired male's face.

"Are you enjoying this?" Haruka asked and Makoto simply laughed because clearly this was a very fun situation.

"Well, I could lift your mood again," Makoto wriggled his eyebrows and Haruka shot him a dirty look. Did he look like some kind of sex-addict?

"No thanks," Haruka muttered as he glanced at his reflection. He faintly noticed that his cheeks had a rosy hue because thinking of sex with Makoto would make anyone blush no matter how fierce and strong you are.

"Hold on," Makoto tugged Haruka's hand and the raven-haired male shook his head. He didn't want to stall anymore because he was so sick of all the mirrors. Makoto softly pressed his lips against Haruka's and at first the raven-haired male had tried to resist and push Makoto away but in the end he failed and he kissed Makoto back with great fervour.

It took the boys another half an hour to find the exit. Haruka had never been more relieved to be outside and he sighed deeply as the fresh but warm air ran along his skin.

"Where were you two?" Nagisa chirped in and the two boys glanced at it each other. Haruka could already feel the tip of his ears burn and he willed his cheeks not to heat up. He'd have to admit that he did have a great time in the mirror palace. Being stuck with Makoto somewhere does have its advantages.

"Never mind, let's go to the haunted castle next!" Nagisa shouted and he dragged Haruka along who almost stumbled over his own feet.

"What's the hurry?" Haruka demanded but he continued to run alongside the blonde who was bouncing forwards happily.

"We could hide and then scare Makoto when he enters, wouldn't that be really fun?" Nagisa said cheerily and Haruka blinked when they stood in front of the ominous castle. It did seem rather spooky but Haruka wasn't fazed at all but he knew one person who would probably shit bricks upon entering…

"This is a stupid idea," Haruka muttered as he crouched behind a fake monster together with Nagisa. The raven-haired male knew that Makoto would never enter a place like this because this was just something that he hated. Haruka smiled a little when he realised that Makoto was a bad boy when it came to physical intercourse but when it came to horror films or scary things…

"What's taking Rei-chan and Mako-chan so long?" Nagisa muttered and he glanced at Haruka who had a goofy smile on his face.

"What are you thinking of?" Nagisa asked while nudging Haruka in the side and the raven-haired male shot a dirty glance at the blonde for interrupting his thoughts.

"I'll go check where those two are," Haruka got up and before Nagisa could make a protest he roamed around the haunted castle. Smoke was pooling at his feet and he could hear the fake screeches and screams of monsters and witches. Haruka shrugged as he continued his way through the castle. He batted away the fake spider webs before his eyes and then he saw something he hadn't expected. A familiar splash of red hair was standing in front of him and Haruka thought that maybe he was dreaming. Rin had never been to this fair before so it would be a really big coincidence that he came this year. Haruka stopped walking until he was just a few inches away from Rin and when the boy did turn around, the raven-haired male was shocked as bright crimson eyes glittered in the dim lighting.

"What are you doing here?" Haruka asked but he never received an answer. Rin pulled him by the hand and once more, Haruka almost met the ground as he stumbled over his feet. It seemed that people liked dragging him around today.

When the two boys stopped, Haruka was pushed into a small crease in the wall. He could feel the cold bricks sending shivers up his spine.

"Could you just tell me?" Haruka demanded but he was silenced by a strong pair of lips against his own. Haruka's oceanic eyes widened at the touch and he didn't respond like he normally would. He had no intention of ever kissing Rin again and he was confused as to why the redhead did want to share another kiss. They only had one fling and Haruka always felt that it was a mistake. Rin looked deep into his eyes when he stopped kissing him. Haruka's eyes shone with confusion and wonder and the redhead simply smirked.

"Ever since we had our fun, you're on my mind," Rin admitted and Haruka was jealous that the redhead didn't even blush when saying such things. How was it that he never was able to hide his blush.

"Stop fucking around Rin," Haruka grumbled, not really believing the things that Rin said. Wasn't the redhead trying to coax Haruka into something bad to steal Makoto away again?

"I'm serious," Rin bit out as he shuffled closer to the raven-haired male once more. Haruka's breath stuttered as Rin invaded his personal bubble. The raven-haired male should be the one to push the redhead away but there was something fierce and unknown in Rin's eyes and Haruka was drawn to it. There was a twinkle that he'd never seen before and Haruka didn't know how to stop looking at those brilliant crimson eyes.

"I thought you were still hung up on Makoto," Haruka muttered softly. He hoped that it wasn't so because the raven-haired male was sure that he shared something deep with Makoto and he wasn't going to let Rin destroy it all again.

"Let's just say that I'm interested in you both," Rin purred and Haruka's heart skipped a few beats. Was he really being serious? How are you able to love two people at the same time? Haruka realised that for Rin, love didn't really count so he was probably just after some fun.

"Just stop dreaming Rin, it's not going to happen," Haruka grumbled and he placed his hands on Rin's torso to push him away. However, as soon as his hands touched that warm body, Haruka didn't find the strength to push, instead he found the strength to pull and before he even realised it. He was kissing Rin with a passion that normally belonged to the boy with the emerald gems…

Makoto tapped his foot softly on the ground as he waited for Haruka to return. Nagisa had come out as soon as he received a text from Rei saying that Makoto would never enter the haunted castle. The blonde had told Makoto everything and the boy simply shook his head because Haruka was always so impatient. The olive-haired male was the exact opposite and he waited patiently for the raven-haired male to come out. It was getting late and dark and Makoto longed to fall asleep while holding Haruka close to him. Makoto looked to his left and he giggled when he saw Nagisa and Rei share a candy apple. Their lips looked so sticky but it was sweet to see them be so happy together. They were not afraid to publicly show their affection towards each other and Makoto wondered whether he would ever be able to so with Haruka. When Makoto glanced at the entrance of the castle, he was a bit disappointed to see that Haruka still hadn't returned. Makoto fished his phone out of his pocket and he was surprised to see he got a text from Rin. It made his stomach tighten because he wasn't really in the mood to pleasure Rin's whims.

If this is supposed to be our last day, then please don't tell me yet. As long as you're here, I'll hide my biggest fear…
