Final Day
Haruka stared into the wide eyes that belonged to the boy that embodied all beauty in the world. The raven-haired male tried to read what was in Makoto's eyes but it was difficult. Haruka was able to read Makoto usually but now he had no idea what the olive-haired male was thinking. Haruka tried to think of something to let that horrifying silence subside but it seemed that his brain stopped functioning. Makoto was still staring straight through him and Haruka was utterly lost. What if he lost Makoto? Would he be able to survive without their friendship? What about the relationship they shared? Haruka felt really small and the only thing he could think of was swim away. Haruka ducked beneath the surface and he swirled his legs and propelled himself forward, creating a distance between himself and Makoto. It was hard to create distance but wasn't it for the best? Perhaps they were just not meant to be. Haruka couldn't help but think back of the kiss he shared with the redhead, perhaps he was meant to be together with Rin?
Haruka quickly dismissed that thought, he could never share his life with the redhead. Rin was wild and you could never truly count on him, he was the one person that probably managed to live his life to the fullest, never having an ounce of regret flowing through his veins. Haruka didn't want that sort of life for himself and he hoped that Makoto wasn't too angry, after all wasn't it just an innocent kiss? A sort of in the moment kind of thing, that was over before anyone realised it?
When Haruka breached the surface, he peeked up from under his long lashes and scouted the pool for that familiar face that he wanted to wake up to every morning. Haruka should've known better than to let himself be dragged into Rin's fantasies but it was hard considering those fantasies were rather… hot. Haruka was never the person to want the best of two worlds but maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing as long as it was a onetime occurrence. The raven-haired male knew his soul belonged to Makoto but his body was a totally different matter. Haruka bit his lips as his eyes tracked Makoto's every movement. The olive-haired male pulled himself up from the pool and Haruka's eyes travelled up and down that gorgeous body that he may never hold again because of his own stupidity. I miss your touch…
Makoto didn't want to glance at Haruka and yet it was hard. He was furious about the kiss but was that really okay? Wasn't he also the one that did 'things' with the redhead, and they never only kissed, they always took it to the limit, moaning each other's name in the throes of passion. Makoto pondered whether it would be a good idea to tell Haruka the truth but he soon dismissed it. It would be nice to start from a clean slate, wipe everything away that has happened so far but it was simply impossible. Makoto was still bound to Rin and he did it because he couldn't imagine Rin's greedy hands all over Haruka. No matter how many times Makoto gave in, it seemed that Rin would still chase after Haruka as well. Why did the redhead have to be a part of their lives? Why couldn't Rin simply keep his promise and leave Haruka alone? Makoto's mind was filled with the conversation he had with the redhead just before Rin dumped him. The olive-haired male had tried to let Rin experience love but it had been all in vain. Makoto was hurt and bruised by that relationship but he got over it and he even found love once more. He was still in love but it seemed like it just wasn't meant to be.
The olive-haired male tried to keep his salty and warm tears at bay but it was too difficult. He was feeling all kinds of things and it was just too much to take. Makoto let his tears flow and his shoulders jerked with every sob that escaped his lips. A soft breeze blew past him and he shuddered. Makoto jumped up a little when he felt two strong arms around his waist. He could feel Haruka press his cheek against his back and Makoto felt guilty, really guilty.
"Please don't go," Haruka pleaded and Makoto's heart shattered upon hearing the soft plea. He could never leave Haruka and he didn't want to. No matter what happened, he would always be drawn towards the raven-haired male and it was scary for Makoto.
"I… won't," Makoto reassured softly and Haruka tightened his grip on the olive-haired male.
"I'm sorry…" Haruka began and Makoto didn't want to hear an apology because he hadn't been faithful either and what he had done was ten times worse.
"Don't say that, it's okay," Makoto turned around and Haruka nestled his cheeks against Makoto's strong torso. Makoto continued to hold Haruka close and he loved the fact that Haruka had been so honest. Usually, Makoto was always more honest than anyone but ever since he dated Rin, he lost some of his original personality and slowly but surely, Haruka brought it back to him.
"I'm still sorry, it'll never happen again," Haruka assured while gazing up into those beautiful emeralds that sparkled under the bright moonlight. Makoto looked like a true god and Haruka wondered whether it was healthy to be this good-looking.
"I know," Makoto rubbed his nose against Haruka's and he wished they could be somewhere only they knew. Somewhere where they could be who they wanted to be without anyone disturbing them.
"Take a swim with me?" Haruka asked softly and Makoto simply nodded. It was hard to deny Haruka anything so Makoto followed Haruka into the pool and with a loud splash, they were submerged into the cool water. It was rather nice to be able to float and lazily swim while being graced with the moonlight. Whenever Makoto looked at Haruka, deep down he knew that Haruka was his soul mate. The olive-haired male wished that he would never hurt Haruka ever again but he knew it was impossible because the redhead would always be looming over them, like a shadow that follows you into your deepest nightmares. Makoto swam towards the edge of the pool and simply gazed at Haruka who was still busy floating around. He looked so peaceful and perhaps, if Makoto wished hard enough, time would stand still.
Makoto made a promise that this would be the final day where they had a fight. He vowed to never argue or fight with Haruka ever again because nothing was worth enough to cause pain that flitted in Haruka's eyes.
Haruka swam towards Makoto and he wrapped his legs around the olive-haired male while keeping his arms loosely draped over Makoto's shoulders. It was nice to hold onto Makoto like this. They gazed at each other before Makoto leaned in a bit closer, close enough to scrape his lips across Haruka's but far enough to really call it a kiss. Whenever Haruka tried to creep closer, Makoto would go back a little with a small smirk splayed across his lips. It was like a game of dominance and Haruka wasn't about to let Makoto win. Haruka rubbed his groin against Makoto's playfully and that was enough to catch the olive-haired male off guard. Makoto gasped and Haruka quickly pressed his lips against Makoto's slightly parted ones. They shared an open-mouthed kiss and Haruka traced his tongue over Makoto's lower lip, asking for permission to deepen the kiss. Haruka didn't have to wait long because the tip of Makoto's tongue softly traced over Haruka's and he couldn't help but moan a little when their tongues started to dance in earnest.
"Will you love me tonight?" Haruka asked while they broke apart, slightly panting. Haruka had asked the question out loud but his eyes said so much more.
"If you let me," Makoto whispered back and soon enough, they were lost in another kiss that swept them both of their feet.
Nothing can hold me back from you…
A/N: I'm thinking about maybe adding a threesome but I'm not entirely sure whether it would really fit in this story and I would probably be really baaaaaaad at writing something like that. Please let me know if you would like me to incorporate it or not! :)
Lots of lovies!
