While fighting a ghost, Danny gets caught in the line of fire from one of his parents' ecto-weapons and is injured. When he recovers, Danny discovers that something is now wrong with his ghost side. It took a long time but Danny's parents were able to keep their word to the ghosts. The ghosts got their powers back and were just as quickly back to their old ways. Jack was particularly sad to say goodbye to his new friend Technus, but Technus promised to visit in between hauntings.

Sam, Tucker, Jack, Maddie, and Jazz now helped Danny with ghost fighting but without any powers things felt different. Danny missed flying and feeling the wind rush through his hair as he flew really fast.

Jazz must have realized this because one day she came to Danny in his room. "Mom and dad found an ecto-sample that matches yours. We can give your powers back if you want."

"I'd really like that."
