Face it Later

Haruka had no idea what time it was when his eyes fluttered open. When he looked at the sky, it was still painted with sparkling stars that made his eyes twinkle. When he gazed to his left, he could see Makoto sound asleep, snoring softly. Haruka kept his eyes on the beautiful man next to him but soon his mind started playing tricks on him. Haruka blinked a few times when he thought he saw Rin instead of Makoto. The raven-haired male shook his head and worried at his lip, what was his mind trying to tell him? Ever since that kiss in the haunted castle, Rin would run around in his mind and no matter how hard Haruka tried to shake him, the redhead would still haunt him. Haruka didn't exactly know a lot about love but if you keep thinking of the same person, does that mean anything? The raven-haired male sighed deeply and he closed his eyes again.

However, they flew open when his mind portrayed the redhead again. Haruka groaned and turned on his side, wishing that Rin would stop haunting him. He wondered how long it would take in order to forget the redhead with the blazing crimson eyes.

When morning came, Haruka felt more tired than ever. During the night, he couldn't stop thinking of Rin and that caused him to toss and turn. Luckily, Makoto wasn't lying too close so the olive-haired male never noticed anything. "We should go home now," Makoto mused as he wiped Haruka's bangs out of his eyes. Haruka simply groaned and slapped Makoto's hand away.

"Leave me alone," Haruka muttered and he turned around once more, hoping that he could just fall back asleep.

"Come on you lazy bum," Makoto said before pulling Haruka up a little and the raven-haired male looked more sour and irritated than ever.

Makoto simply smiled his usual smile and he let Haruka get used to the fact that he'd have to get up. Normally, Haruka didn't have that many problems with getting up but when he didn't get enough sleep he wasn't an enjoyable person at all.

Haruka pulled himself up and quickly put on his clothes so that he could go home and continue sleeping. Haruka found that when he was asleep, there were hardly any thoughts of Rin and that is the exact reason why Haruka wanted to continue sleeping. He didn't want to hurt Makoto so Haruka pretended that everything was simply fine but deep down, Haruka knew he had a problem. He couldn't exactly name his problem but if it had something to do with Rin, it was bad news anyway. Haruka remained silent during the rest of the walk home. Makoto didn't think anything of it because it was how it usually was when they walked.

Haruka wasn't a man of many words but Makoto did notice that he'd gotten more talkative ever since they started what they had. Makoto still wasn't able to exactly name what they had, but whatever it was, it was magical. They were drawn towards each other on a deeper level they didn't share with anyone else. The olive-haired male didn't really like the word relationship since neither of them had ever dared to say out loud how much they loved each other, so Makoto just kept it simple by saying they were connected by their souls.

"Is something wrong?" Makoto tried when they reached Haruka's doorstep. Makoto always tried not to invite himself and he hoped that Haruka would do so because he did want to crawl into bed with Haruka for the rest of the day.

"No." came the curt reply and Makoto furrowed his brows. It had been a really long time since Haruka had been this curt with him.

"You sure?" Makoto tried again knowing that he would just get a dirty look from the raven-haired male, however it was Makoto's nature to ask again and so he did.

"Yes, I'm sure, anything else?" Haruka asked as he turned his key in the lock to open his front door.

"No, I'll be over at my house then," Makoto said and he quickly pressed a small kiss on Haruka's cheek.

The raven-haired stiffened at the touch and then quickly hurried inside. Once he was inside, Haruka let himself slip against the front door and the cold tiles made him shiver. What exactly was he doing? Why had he been so cold towards Makoto? Wasn't Makoto the one person he couldn't live without? Wasn't Makoto the person who made him feel special and treasured? Wasn't Makoto the person who could make him shiver and shake while experiencing intense pleasure?

But then, there was Rin. The redhead embodied everything that was dangerous, edgy and forbidden. Whenever Haruka thought of Rin, his heart would start beating faster and since the redhead was forbidden, it made him want him even more. Haruka hugged his knees to his chest and tried to sort out his feelings, well he couldn't really think while sitting on a cold floor. Haruka lifted himself and he went straight to his bathroom, there was nothing that a good soak wouldn't cure so he let the water flow, the sound instantly calming his nerves. When Haruka glanced at himself in the mirror, he wanted to shatter it because it made him see what a cheater he is. It's not that he did anything else besides kiss the redhead, but to Haruka, even the thought of doing something more was horrifying. He didn't want to give in to the dark desire that made him want the redhead more than anything else, or so it seemed at the moment. Haruka was afraid of himself and he didn't want to think about giving in so he slumped into the bath, hoping that the warm water would wash away any sinful thoughts he had about the redhead.

Haruka jolted in his tub when he heard his doorbell ring. A part of him wished that it would be Makoto because he had been feeling quite guilty ever since Makoto had gone home. Haruka quickly patted himself dry before going downstairs, wearing nothing but his most prized swimming trunks. When Haruka opened the door, his eyes widened and his breath stuttered in his throat. Rin, in all his glory, stood at his doorstep and Haruka was momentarily paralyzed. Haruka had longed for this moment as much as he had feared it. What if he wouldn't be able to control himself? Haruka's mind screamed and shouted to just close the door and leave Rin outside, but his body was screaming for something else. Something dark and forbidden that would make him see stars and yearn and burn for more.

"Are you going to let me in or what?" Rin growled and Haruka blinked a few times before stepping aside to let the redhead in. Haruka closed the door and he took a deep breath, perhaps Rin was here to talk or something? Haruka pushed away all of the arousing thoughts that ran around in his mind and he headed for his living room. The redhead was already sitting down rather comfortably and Haruka took a seat next to him, waiting anxiously to find out what Rin truly wanted.

There was an awkward silence between the two boys and Haruka shivered when Rin let his eyes dart over his body. Haruka had totally forgotten that he wasn't exactly wearing the most decent clothing and the raven-haired male crossed his arms to try and cover up his naked torso as best as possible.

"Is there something you want?" Haruka asked after another few minutes of agonizing silence.

Those fiery crimson eyes regarded him once more and this time, Haruka didn't look away because there was something in Rin's gaze that held his own captive. Haruka swallowed the lump that seemed to have formed in his throat. Before Haruka had the time to pull away, Rin's lips were pressed against his own. Haruka tried to resist as long as possible, but his body acted of its own accord, willingly giving in to the redhead.

When they broke apart, Haruka's eyes were glazed over and the raven-haired male knew exactly what he wanted, however, Haruka tried to stay away from Rin because he knew he'd be in trouble later on.

"You should leave, I'll get in trouble if you stay," Haruka tried to use a determined and dismissive voice but it was hard because his body was screaming for something he shouldn't have.

"Face those problems later," Rin growled before meshing his lips together with Haruka's once more. The raven-haired male tried to fight it once again but as soon as he closed his eyes, he was lost in the forbidden sea that represented Rin.

My desire for you feels like a sweet sorrow…
