Silence before the Storm

Makoto lazily opened his eyes to look around in the almost entirely dark room. It didn't take very long to realise that Haruka was not in the room anymore. Makoto groaned and turned on his side, his eyes getting used to the darkness. In his mind he tried to push away the thoughts of what happened earlier. He had never wanted it to escalate but it had and a small part of Makoto wished that it would happen again. Makoto would never openly admit that he had any sort of feelings for the redhead but being so close with Rin felt so natural and… arousing. Of course, Haruka was arousing in his own way and Makoto had loved being close to him each and every time but it still wasn't the same as when Makoto was intimate with Rin. Thinking of Rin had always made Makoto hungry for more because one might say that you could never have enough of the redhead with the gleaming crimson eyes.

Makoto wished that he had never dated Rin in the first place because then things would've never been so complicated with Haruka. He would just enjoy a peaceful and normal relationship with the raven-haired male but that wasn't possible anymore. Makoto turned around once more and his eyes fluttered closed again, his body willing him to rest some more.

Haruka peeked through the bathroom door. He felt like a pervert for watching Rin as he took a shower but Haruka couldn't help himself. Unlike Makoto, Haruka had been too awake to even attempt to fall asleep. Admittedly, he was extremely comfortable on top of Makoto but something made him slip out of the bed and suddenly, he found himself standing in front of the bathroom door that was slightly open. Haruka's oceanic eyes followed every movement that Rin made and Haruka gulped loudly as Rin opened the shower door and he stared straight into Haruka's blue eyes.

"Anything you need?" Rin asked with a smirk and Haruka could already feel the tips of his ears burn with… whatever it was that Rin made him feel. Haruka never would've thought that Rin could be such a turn-on because there was only one person who owned his heart and it certainly wasn't the redhead. However, sometimes your body wants something that your soul doesn't…

"I… no I… just, uhm," Haruka stuttered as he tried to look anywhere but at Rin's naked body. Haruka had seen it earlier but it seemed that he couldn't get enough of it, especially when it looked so gorgeous with the small droplets of water clinging to his skin.

"I'm done taking a shower so if you want to take one," Rin mused as he stepped out of the shower to dry himself off the towel he'd stolen from Haruka's drawers. Haruka didn't really know what he wanted so he just nodded and stepped into the bathroom. Somehow, he felt extremely shy to take off his clothes so he just stood there, stealing glances every once in a while to admire Rin's body.

"What's wrong? Too afraid to take off your clothes?" Rin purred and Haruka tilted his head to the side to hide the blush that was creeping everywhere, from his cheeks to his neck.

"No," Haruka tried to sound confident but the truth was very different. He was slightly intimidated by Rin and that was something that Haruka hated. He didn't want to be intimidated, for once, he wanted to be stronger than Rin and Haruka wondered how Makoto did it. When they fucked earlier on, Makoto was in control and Rin never once even tried to win the competition for dominance, in fact, it seemed that Rin loved it when Makoto took charge.

Haruka made up his mind and this time, he wouldn't let Rin crawl under his skin. With a strong shove, Haruka pushed Rin back into the shower until the redhead gasped from the cold contact with the shower wall.

"What are you doing?" Rin teased as he smiled a cocky smile at the raven-haired male. Haruka was at a loss of what he could do next, he had Rin where he wanted him but what would he do now? It seemed so easy how Makoto controlled Rin but to actually do it himself…

"I… want to…" Haruka tried but when his oceanic eyes were caught in those dangerous crimson ones, it felt like Haruka was drowning. It was hard to look away and it seemed that Rin would always have Haruka under his control. Perhaps Haruka simply wasn't made to take control of anyone.

"You could start by touching me," Rin said softly and Haruka was startled by the sweet voice that Rin used. Haruka had never heard Rin talk so softly and it was a nice change to be honest. The usual demanding and barky tone was far away and Haruka was caught in Rin's spell once more. With shaky hands, Haruka ran the palms of his hands over Rin's torso until he locked his hands behind Rin's neck. Haruka was fully aware that he was still wearing a pair of boxers, but he didn't care. Rin turned on the shower and the warm water cascaded over them. It made Haruka relax and the raven-haired male softly brushed his lips against Rin's. The kiss was soft and sweet and Haruka was swooning when Rin pulled him closer so that their bodies touched. Haruka knew that this wasn't the same feeling he felt when he was with Makoto but it was a close second. There was something about Rin that he just found hard to let go.

Soft gasps escaped from their lips and Haruka opened his mouth willingly when Rin let his tongue slide across Haruka's lower lip. Rin wasn't trying to be dominant this time and Haruka was pleased that he could set the pace this once. Their tongues caressed each other sensually and Haruka could feel Rin's heart pounding faster or was it his own? Haruka pulled back when he realised that it was his own heart that was beating rapidly and he instantly let go of Rin, regretting that he slipped into the bathroom with Rin. What if this wasn't just about being turned on anymore. What if…?

Haruka shook his head violently and he didn't even glance back at Rin when he left the shower. Just when Haruka was about to head back out of the bathroom, he was stopped by the strong grip of the redhead.

"What's wrong?" Rin asked as he tried to gaze into Haruka's broken and blank oceanic eyes. Haruka finally realised what he had done and he could only hope that Makoto wouldn't be too upset. No matter how arousing the previous events had been, Haruka didn't want to repeat them ever again. He only wanted Makoto and Haruka would try to forget this sinful day in order to completely give himself to the olive-haired male.

"This is wrong, we are wrong," Haruka whispered as he tried to free his wrist from Rin's grasp.

"Didn't you enjoy it earlier?" Rin asked and Haruka blushed as his mind flashed images of what happened just half an hour ago. It would be something that Haruka would probably never forget but he wanted to at least try and forget about it.

"I did, but I can't do this anymore, I…" Haruka wanted to scream how much he loved Makoto but standing in front of Rin made it an impossible task. Haruka was torn between the two and right now, he wanted to run away and leave both of them behind.

"You love Makoto don't you?" Rin said and Haruka was shocked that Rin had figured it out when even Haruka wasn't all that sure anymore. The raven-haired male nodded and Rin smiled an almost sad smile.

"He's very easy to love," Rin added solemnly and Haruka couldn't quite grasp the idea of Rin loving someone instead of just being interested in someone's body. Haruka had always thought that the redhead was not capable of love.

"Sometimes, I wished that I had gone easy on Makoto, let him whisk me away down the path of love…" Rin whispered and Haruka almost felt sorry for Rin. Could it be that Rin had feelings for Makoto?

"Do you love Makoto?" Haruka asked and when Rin cast his gaze down Haruka had his answer.

You are my thoughts when I'm awake and my dreams when I'm asleep. You are the reason for my smile, you are the words I speak…

A/N: I'm kind of stuck between writing another trio-smut-chapter or leaving Rin heart-broken and alone…Anyway, if you have an idea or if you want to help me decide, please let me know in a review! :)

PS: I might do a Marinka one-shot(with smut duh :p ) but I'm not sure whether I'll be any good at it. Perhaps I'll have a divine encounter when I'm asleep later on.
