Hermione sat in the deserted library surrounded by her usual companions of knowledge, three stacks of books distributed on either side of her. Her mind was wearing and her eyes watering from overuse, yet she continued to read. She had taken to her new field of study in the two weeks since the 'incident', as she liked to call it, had happened. She was quite proficient, as always. She had read all the material covering the topic that she could get her hands on. She read informative pamphlets, educational texts, even going as far as reading fictional romance novels from both the wizarding world as well as muggle.
She was as sure of her ability to understand and control her hormones as a teen could get, but knowing Hermione, she had taken it multiple steps further. She had gone as far as writing an essay on the physical stimulation and reactions cause by intimate ministrations and had given it to professor McGonagall to grade. That whole incident hadn't gone over as well as she thought it would and while she got an A+ on the essay, her professor was blushing profusely as she handed over the scroll as if it was some kind of paraphernalia.
During the two weeks of herself reform she noted with some weariness that Malfoy was acting quite strange. He hadn't made many comments that would put her down. Well, at least no more than before. It seemed odd to her that he had yet rub in her face her hiccup. Perhaps he had decided to show mercy. She laughed at the thought whenever it presented itself; he would do no such thing. Regardless she was on high alert and would be until she figured him out. Things had been too quiet.
