"This place is amazing!" Kim gaped. This had to be one of the most fanciest place she'd been to. I mean where was the money she had before she took this job get her? Nowhere. This place was fricking amazing. From the shiny marble floors to the dazzling chandelier that looked made fully of diamonds.
"This is nothing. Wait 'till I take you to The Gardens. Place is ten times better." Jack smiled
"There's a place better than this? Damn!" Kim gaped as she looked around some more. The two together walked up to the hostess table.
"Jane Brewer's table." Jack stated
"You and your date, please follow me." The hostess had said as she guided them to a table with four people.
Kim rolled her eyes, but Jack only smirked wrapping a arm around her waist.
"Hands off pretty boy." Kim muttered through her smile
"Why would I do that? You are my date aren't you?" Jack answered back with a grin. They had arrived at the table shortly.
"Oh good you're here. And you brought Kim... this is going according to plan." Jane exclaimed almost relieved.
"Excuse me? Plan?!" Kim inquired with squinted eyes.
"You'll see" Jane waved off. "Now sit your asses down and look lovely to each other."
"Mom, who exactly is coming?" Jack asked as he pulled the chair out for Kim to sit and plopped himself next to her.
"Just some evil, bitchy, fake pupil." Jane said is disgust.
"Sabrina Lutherman is going to be here? As in your archenemy?" Jack asked.
"That's her. Inviting me to dinner because her son has a big announcement." Jane said. "The brat probably got married or engaged to some whore. So that's where you two come in. Wait 'till she gets a taste of her medicine!"
"Who is coming? Why do I have to do this? And how is this relevant to me being here?" Kim questioned.
"Long story short, my mom and Sabrina has this rivalry going on and I'm somehow roped into this with Sabrina's child, who by the way is a totally snob. We're always competing against each other. Whether it's better son, or something stupid like that." Jack explained.
"I get you... you could say that went through the same thing. But I really don't want to bring it up." Kim said quietly.
"Nonsense... you have to tell us!" Jane explained. Oh did she love hearing stories.
Shifting uncomfortably Kim tried to start her story. "Uhh... Ummm"
"Mom she doesn't have to tell us.. it could be private matter" Jack said indicating to his mom that this subject was to be a taboo one.
Kim secretly places her hand on Jack's lower thigh. "No no.. I guess a little story couldn't hurt. It's not like I'm going to magically meet the girl again."
Jane smiled hesitantly, "Sweetie you don't have to tell me..."
Kim smiled brightly, "No it's okay. It's quite a funny story actually..."
Jane nodded her on to continue.
"When I was younger, I was on the unpopular side, you see? There was this one girl who had a bone to pick with me. Really, she hated my guts and I don't even know why. Everyday she would torment me or pick on me or something like. Have a way to make fun of my in front of the entire school. Of course I didn't fight back. Why would I? I don't live in that nature, but I felt as everything I did like school work, dancing, anything she would try to do it better than me. Though she couldn't quite beat my brains, she advanced in everything else. It's weird.. I don't what to say about it honestly. She always had this nickname for me and I just hate it. Everytime I hear the word it brings back bad memories. And the kicker of this story was she never got caught. Teachers would see what she did to me, but they'd turn the other way. It became kind of a daily routine you say. Everyday was a different prank, different fight, different way to make fun of me. But, time went on and let's just say she doesn't know where I am, and I hope I don't see her again. Funny story right?" Kim laughed nervously.
"Oh honey, that's horrible! That my dear is not a rivalry! That's straight out bullying!" Jane gasped.
Kim shrugged her shoulders and rubbed her arms. It was getting a bit cold and a bit too personal now. Stupid, stupid stupid stupid! Why the hell am I talking about this now?
"Well it's good you won't see her again. At least you're safe now, and have caring friends to take care of you. Like for example... me." Jack soothed, then smirked.
"Yeah... friends like you" Kim said as she bit her lip.
Jane quietly observing the two raised an eyebrow at the two of them. The last time she checked Jack hated her, and Kim didn't really describe Jack as a friend. Hmm.. she was going to have a talk with Rudy. Who was known to be quite the matchmaker, and a successful one. She might have to give him a raise...
"Excuse me, I'm going to go to the restroom." Kim politely said as she got up from the table and left.
"Ok"
"So Jackie, dear."
"Yes, mom.."
"Didn't I tell you Kim was special."
"Psh, as if."
"Jackson, don't lie to me"
"She's different. Not like any kind of girl I've met before."
"That's what I thought.. didn't I always say mommy's always right?"
"Yeah, yeah.. this was like one of the times"
"Hmmm, thought so. She's a wonderful girl Jack, I don't want to see her hurt by anyone. So you better not lose a girl like that, she's one in a billion."
"Mom, what makes you think that I would hurt her? She's just starting to warm up to me. I wouldn't want an interesting aspect of my life getting away from me, would I?"
"Don't play her, mister. I'm warning as a person, a female, and a mother."
"Yeah, yeah. I think I see Sabrina."
"Oh God. Here comes hell." Jane scoffed with a fake smile as she made eye contact with Sabrina.
"Sabrina!" Jane exclaimed as she got out her seat to hug the said woman. "It's so nice to see you!"
"Same to you darling." Sabrina replied back.
"And oh my! Look how much you grown up Trevor! And nice to meet you young lady." Jane greeted as they sat down.
"Nice to see you all again." Jack greeted with a smile.
"Ohhhh Jackson, you look so much better in person than in the magazines!" Sabrina teased lightly and Jack laughed along.
"So let me introduce you guys!" Sabrina happily said with a hint of cockiness, "This is Trevor's wonderful girlfriend Veronica White. Veronica the Jane Brewer and her son Jack Brewer."
"It's so nice to meet you!" Veronica said in a peppy voice. When no one was looking she shot Jack a wink.
Jack ignored it and inwardly shuttered. This girl has a boyfriend.. what the actually fuck? Pretending to listen to the conversation going on, Jack spotted Kim and immediately brightened up. Approaching the table shyly she stood there awkwardly as she saw new people at the table. Standing up and pulling out her chair like a real gentleman, Jack help her get seated then settled down himself.
"Oh, here is Kim. Kim this is Sabrina, Trevor and his girlfriend Veronica." Jane introduced.
Time seemed to stand still for a moment as the name echoed in her mind. Veronica, Veronica, Veronica,Veronica, Veronica,Veronica...
Kim's eyes widen as she quickly bowed her head and avoided any eye contact with them.
"Hi." Kim timidly said.
"A shy one eh? Hmm, unlike Veronica who is always outgoing and talks to everyone. That's why she's a successful model and great in school." Sabrina bragged.
Jane scoffed lightly, "Sabrina, Kim here is at top of her class and a newfound model that will become famous in an instant because of moi."
"Oh isn't she the smart one." Sabrina replied, which earned a smile from Jane.
Jane- 1 Sabrina- Fucking 0
"She has to worthy if she wants to be Jack's girlfriend. I swear they are almost inseparable." Jane added on. Kim and Jack looked up at Jane at the same time then looked at each other.
They were a what now?
"Oh is that so.." Sabrina almost sneered. "Well I'm glad that you brought up couple since Trevor here is getting engaged! Show them your ring Veronica!"
Instantly a slender hand came out from under the table and showcased a 20 carat diamond ring.
"Congrats" all three of them replied.
"Isn't it lovely? Trevy here said he imported this! Fancy isn't it?" Veronica giggled.
"Amazing." Kim breathed out.
"Amazing right?" Veronica heard. She turned to face Kim and her eyebrows scrunched up as if she were thinking. Then slowly a grin came on her face.
A hour later and Jane and Sabrina were talking, more like bragging what they had done other their time apart while Trevor, Veronica, Kim, and Jack talked.
"So Kimmy Crawfish? Nice to see you again." Veronica smirked as she saw the discoloration of Kim's face.
"I'm sorry you must have mistaken." Kim replied immediately with an unreadable expression.
"Oh don't pull that bullcrap on me. It's you isn't it? And I here thought you had left for good. I didn't believe you were still alive after all these years. But yet you never fail to amuse me, here you are in front of my very eyes." Veronica countered.
Kim was panicking. No! No, this was not suppose to happen! Kim was living through her nightmare.
"Loss for words aren't you, dear old friend" Veronica sweetly said.
"Oh you two are friends?" Trevor asked butting in the conversation. "Would you look it here Jack? Our girlfriends are already friends? Who would have thought?"
"Yeah, weird right?" Jack commented.
Kim tugged at Jack's jacket and whispered to him scaredly, "Please, please get me out of this nightmare."
Jack gave Kim a strange but worried look.
"Kim..." Jack started softly
"Kimmy Crayfish. What happened to you? We all thought you were dead. I mean all those things that you did to yourself. Such a shame. What drove you to those things? What drove you so far that you have to leave?" Veronica stated
"What is she talking about." Jack questioned with a raised eyebrow. By now Jane and Sabrina had stopped talking and listened to the kids.
"You didn't tell them? Kimmy here went incognito from freshman year 'till now." Veronica started, "She just upped and left, leaving no traces behind. I'm not saying we were said of anything. It was probably the best thing that happened to Seaford High."
"Shut up." Kim growled
"Why? You afraid of all your secrets coming out? Like your cutting? Or the fact that you almost killed yourself? Or the way you abandoned your parents? Oops.. did I say that out loud?" Veronica innocently stated
"Shut up!" Kim screeched. "Shut up. Shut up shut up! Don't you dare say I abandoned my parents! I love them, and still do. I may have disappeared but I didn't abandon them. And just stop. I can't deal with this anymore, I can't deal with you. Why, why do you always bring up the past? I'm trying to escape from there and you're just dragging me down and down! Just please stop. You drove me away from everyone else. You drove me to do all those things to myself. Your words hurt more than anyone elses. You haunt my dreams. You're my nightmare. You're drowning me with words, and I can't breathe under all those words you throw at me. So please, please just stop..."
Kim looked at Veronica with teary eyes. The little droplets slipped down her cheek as they continued their little stare off. Veronica looked unaffected, she almost had a taunting smirk on her face.
She whispered, "Did. I. Hit. A. Nerve. Medusa?"
There it was. Kim's most hated word. Her most hated nickname. The word that always haunted her. She stared horrified at Veronica who had a victorious smirk playing on her face. In that second, Kim had already left the table scrambling out of the restaurant as fast as she could. She was done. She couldn't deal with the overwhelming feelings anymore. She ran and ran as fast as her legs could take her. She didn't know where she was, she didn't know how to get home, but what she what she did know did that people never change, and that words will alway hurt you no matter what.
"Veronica!" Sabrina gasped disapprovingly.
"I highly recommend you tame that fiancéeof yours Trevor." Jack spat as he abruptly stood up from his chair.
"Jack.." Jane spoke softly placing her hand over his. "Calm down. She needs some time alone. We need to let her have some space. She's a strong one."
Veronica snorted, "Yeah, you could say that. Give her time to skip town, or a chance for her to lay-low. I'd giver her two hours tops before she goes bye bye. She did have a thing for leaving people"
Jance gave Veronica a deadly stare before she turned to Sabrina who looked baffled. "Sabrina the next time you call us to dinner, lunch, or whatever, don't. I don't need my future daughter-in-law running away every time she encounters a bitch like her. If you excuse us, we will be on our way."
Jane and Jack left the table and walked out of the restaurant. When they were at the valet Jane stopped Jack and clung onto his arm.
"You don't think.." Jace said deathly scared. Tears brimmed her eyes.
Jack gave a large sigh. "Mom, I don't know. She's pretty predictable. You get back to the office okay? Be safe for me? I'll round up the gang and we'll find her... I promise."
Jane nodded sadly, "But I want to help..."
"I can handle this okay mommy? You calm down and go to the office. I promise to call you when we get news, alright?" Jack softly said as he guided his mom to the car and let her in. Jane nodded and slowly drove away. Soon his sleek black car came into his sight. Climbing in he whipped out his cellphone and pushed in his bluetooth into his ear; driving full speed to his next destination
"Yeah guys? We have a code red." Jack spoke.
"What's a code red?"
SMACK
"Chill mamacita!" Jerry mumbled rubbing his cheek, "I was just askin"
Jack rolled his eyes. This was not a time to be joking around or acting stupid. Kim was out there somewhere and he needed to find her fast.
"Look, Kim ran out on our 'date' I had with my mother. Long story short Sabrina and her son came and he brought his vermin of a fiancée. And guess just who it had to be? Veronica. And I can't locate or contact her. She turned off her phone we need to find her soon. I have a feeling something's going to happen and none of us will like it." Jack explained.
"As in Veronica Veronica? Like Kim's childhood Veronica Veronica?" Grace asked quickly looking at Jack who just shook his head yes, "Oh no.. this is bad.. this is really bad. Like really really really bad! That ugly son of a bitch! What the fuck? We have to go like now!"
"Um, I still don't know what's going on.." Brody trailed off.
"Yeah same..." Brett seconded
"Wait.. her name is Veronica Veronica? Psh what a lame name. Ha! That rhymed!" Jerry laughed slapping his knee.
SMACK
"OW!"
"No! Shut up and listen! This bitch's name is Veronica White and she was Kim's childhood bully. She's the one that always bullied Kim and made fun of her. And when I was little I had a feeling Veronica was behind Kim's daily beatings she got in school." Grace explained frantically as she pulled on her coat and the gang made their way out to get in the cars.
"How about Grace and Jack split up since they seem a bit closer to Kim than the rest of us. Jack and Brody will take one car, and Jerry, Grace and I will take the other one?" Brett reasoned
"Sounds like a plan."
"Let the search begin."
"Let's go."
"When I get my hands on that little bitch for doing that to Kim, she's dead."
"Let's go and may the odds be in your favor."
"Aw come on I hate Hunger Games. You just ruined it" Brody stumped
"Really?! Really Brett?" Jerry questioned as he got in the driver's seat.
"Oh my god let's just go!" Grace whined as she followed Jerry's lead
"Haters" Brett scoffed before ducking his head in the car.
Jack shook his head before letting a tiny smile grace on his face. They were one. They would find her no matter what. We will find you- I will find you. Hang in there princess, I'm coming.
There, two cars speed off at top speed in the dark starry night looking for that one girl that may have brought everyone closer if they had not realized.
To be continued...
wah wah whattt? Right? I'm surprised myself.. like god.. Veronica is such a bitch right?! -sigh-
hahahahahahahah yeah I was gonna end this when Jack said "Code red" but i wrote a little bit so y'all wouldn't be on the edge of your seats
And I'm crying, I saw the last episode of Kickin' It Season 3... it was beautiful just beautiful... A little cliche but still beautiful :) I won't say anything about it because I know most people didn't see it, but I'd advise you did :)
QUESTION OF THE STORY TIME! Whoop
Have your heart broken or be the heart breaker?
Trick question. I would rather have my heart broken because I would feel guilty as fuck and I would always have this haunting in my mind through my whole life, knowing I hurt somebody. To be honest I'm a type of girl who has like a lot of mini crushes on boys and then forgets about them. I've only had my heart broken once because I was literally in love with this guy who i don't even talk to in 7th grade and I was so obsessed and I tried to talk to him and shit, and then I found out he liked this bitch I really hated and so many people confirmed it and it just broke my heart. I cried for a day and I got over it... and now I just want to be friends with him xD I don't even like him, I just think he's really cute and stuff but he doesn't even go to my school anymore so.. yeah. I'd rather be heart broken because I can get over stuff quickly... Ik Im such a heartless bitch ;)
