AN: I'm going to be straight to the point here. I know it's taking forever for me to update this story, and the honest truth for that is that I no longer have the desire to continue this story. I don't know if it's just this huge Block I'm in or if it's just the idea dying on me altogether, but this story's going no where fast. However, I hate it when I just up and leave when a story is so involved with my readers, not to mention my second most watched. I'm not going to do anything until I get your guys' opinion/decision on things:
If I were to discontinue this story, what would you rather me do?:
- Work on another OC submission story in replacement of Cherry. (This one is the route I'm most willing to take as I can develop a fresh idea I'll actually want to work on, and wanting to work means much faster updates, especially when summer comes around and stress isn't ravaging my body. I'll be extra careful with planning on this one so I can continue to feel motivated by this. Cherry will be deleted.)
- Take-Down and Re-work Cherry so I can like it again. (Not something I'm fond of doing really simply because I'm already re-working one of my stories, and that's taken up nearly a year now. I don't want you guys hanging for ayear like what I did with Lightning Gaze.)
- Extended hiatus till Block is over. (I hate these man. Only willing to do this if majority of my readers are okay with it. Another OC sub story will be up during this time so you guys won't feel so...deserted I guess. However, it won't be as frequently updated as I'll be trying to force myself out of the block, which isn't fun.)
I'm leaning more towards the new OC sub. story. It'll be up the quickest and possibly updated more quickly than the other choices. However, you guys are the ones who decide this. After all, you guys like the story, you guys submitted to this story, and I absolutely HATE deciding things like this without my reader's consensus.
Some of my older readers may recall when I wrote "Scarlet" about forever ago. I deleted it recently due to a similar reason of what I'm doing here. Just like with Scarlet, however, I may revisit this story regardless of what readers decide. Once all of my other projects are done, Scarlet will for-sure be making a comeback, and Cherry Blossom may be coming right up behind it. Not certain yet, but I'm not one to give up ideas easily. All your characters will be kept safely in a file and the idea will be kept in mind.
So, what's your decision? New submission story, extended hiatus, or a complete reworking? You decide.
And just so this chapter isn't against the rules, here's a possibility for a new submission story. Not certain yet, but a possibility.
She was once told that evil is only perceived when perception is blurred. There's no such thing as evil, but corruption and fear blind people, and through that - in a moment of paranoia - people confuse mistakes for wickedness. That's when arguments resound through the air and turmoil controls the lands with a sickly black claw.
She was taught right and wrong just like any other child. She was a good girl with a strong heart and golden tongue. She could persuade others what to believe, and they were always good things. But when an old war hero crawls into her mind with his own beliefs and a voice even stronger than her own, she questions all she's been taught. People have different beliefs in what is right and what is wrong after all. It's all just a matter of perception.
Aha, way to go for extended summaries! This isn't a fully fleshed idea, but it's something in case you guys wanted a taste of what I may be going for should the new OC sub story decision is chosen. It'll be the backstory of my newest character, Callia Brittlerose, a girl who often questions just what is good and evil and right and wrong. It'll be dark (cause I'm twisted like that), so yeah. It's something I really want to work on, but isn't something completely dependent on if you choose another one of the choices, its just a matter of how involved you want to be.
I'm deeply sorry for this guys, I really am. It's just that I put quality over everything else when it comes to writing, and if my stories don't meet up to my high expectations, then I wont continue until it does. I always make sure to give you guys my absolute best because you're just that awesome to me.
