After lunch Imogen went to class with scout. Imogen sat in her normal sit , with the space next to her empty where Conor usually sat. Your man kyle who caused the drama earlier walked in just before Conor ane was straight over to her asking if he could sit next to her, just as she saw Conor waiting in. "Sorry " Imogen said politely but there is someone going to be sitting there" she said. The smirked on his face dropped as he went to find a spare sit. Conor walked over to her " can I sit here ?" He asked not sure is she would want him to after how he treated her. Imogennjust nodded. Mr Chalk was late to class , as usual. But just as Conor went to speak he walked in . Mr chalk put them in groups of 4 to do some group work, Imogen, Conor, scout and Phoenix. " Phoenix and I are going to go to that house party later for Lauren, you two are coming " Scout said before butting innseeing Imogen about to protest " and im not talking no for an answer." She smiled. After what felt like ages the bell went signal the end of school. Imogen and Scout arranged to get ready in Imogens before meeting Conor and Phoenix at the party. " My mom's collecting me now , im notnwalking home, I'll see you all later " she said walking away , things slightly awkward between her and Conor. Conor sighed as Phoenix patted his back " mate you need to fix things " he said before they all left to walk home. Conor went home, his mom standing in the hall way as soon as the door opem " Conor I swear to God, if you ever ever act up like in my class and embarrass me again, there will be murder !" She shouted as he shut the door behind and walked past his by mom she was drinking again " this is your fault" she shouted indicating to the bottle of wine in her hand. Conor ran up to his room locking the door him and fell out his bed , tears falling down his cheek. He was emotionally drained.
Conor was really not in the mood for attending the party but Phoenix managed to persuade him. At 8:30 they met up and headed to the party. Scout had textes them saying they would be there shortly. As Conor walked inside Kyle approached him " where's " your " girl " he teased laughed. Conor rolled hisneyes ignoring him and walked away with Phoenix.
Scout was trying to get Imogen to tie her hair up for a changed but it wasnt working. Imogen still hadn't told anyone she was deaf and no one seemed to have noticed, yet anyway. Imogen was wearing a black skater style dress and black ankle boots. When the pair entered the part they spent their time talking to Lauren before she went to talk to other guests and Phoenix and Conor came over. " Phoenix will you show me where the drinks are " Scout asked really just wanting to leave Conor and imogen alone. Phoenix nodded before they left.
Conor looked down to Imogen " can we talk out the back in a quiet area ?" Conor asked her. Of course Imogen agreed and followed him out to the back garden . Imogen thought Conor looked exhausted and his eyes also look to be slightly blood shoot. Imogen wasn't going to give at to him at all , in fact she just wanted things too back to how they were before. Conor walked beside Imogen to the back of the garden to the swings. They each sat down on one. " Imogen I am so sorry, I just felt like a complete idiot but that's no excuse for me to snap at you " conor spoke full sorrow and grief, it was clearly visible to see he was upset by everything that had happened. Imogen looked over at him " it's fine Conor, it all happened so fast, and you have been having a very stressful time " she said softly. Imogen stood up as she spoke " I will forgive you on one condition, a hug " she said softly. Conor immediately was on his feet going to her and he wrapped his arms securely around her tiny waist and nuzzled his face into her hair " thank you " he whispered as Imogens arms slipped around his neck hugging him.
Scout popped her head out the door " guys we are starting the movie " she shouted. Conor kissed Imogens cheek "coming " he said as they began walking over. Scout stopped Imogen as they walked in wanting to find out what happened. Imogen told her everything. As they walked back into the sitting room there was only one sit left beside phoenix which Imogen obviously let Scout take. As she entered the room to find a place on the floor, Kyle smirked and wrapped his arms around her slim waist pulling her down to his lap " you can sit here babe " he smirked, as conor looked furious about to get up , Phoenix grabbed his arm stopping him. "Get off me you creep " Imogen mumbled wriggling from his grip. Conor watched intently making sure he did what she asked. Conor stood up to offer Imogen his sit but she shook her head and he scooted up closer to phoenix so there was a small gap beside him for her, which Imogen happily took. Conor put his arm loosely around the make of her shoulders just to make it that bit more comfortable for Imogen to which she cuddled into his side and rested her head on his shoulder. Conor slightly tightened his grip on her before relaxing holding her his arms.
