Buttercup's POV

I thought I died and went to heaven...Princess was screaming all through the house, while the three of us were running back to our jobs...pretending as Brianna was mending Princess' dresses as well.

"What are you two doing! You've gotta see this!" Bubbles ran down and we ran up after her and into Princess's disgusting pink room...she was covered in soot and ash from head to toe.

"Mommy! Mommy! Look at me!"

We were trying so hard not to laugh our heads from...I was surprise that the ash didn't spread ash all over the room...among the smell of the soot, I could smell flowers...Belle...she must have done something to it. Because no matter where Princess walked, the soot didn't stick anywhere else but her.

"YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS! I KNOW YOU DO! MOMMY FIRE HER!" Princess pointed at Brianna who kept a serious face, but I know it was tough.

"Oh calm down...just look at you. Brianna, stop looking stupid and get the water running...what a time for this? The Prince could be stopping by for a visit..."

My smile turned into a surprise shock/nervous look, my face felt so hot and the pounding went to my ears,"What?"

"Yes...Prince Boomer-"

I sighed in relief but my heart wouldn't stop hammering so fast...It was making me dizzy.

"Why was I feeling like this?"

"Yes...Prince Boomer is nothing important but he could get us in with the Crown Prince and his family. Prince Boomer just love our grounds." Lord Morbucks said, surprising all of us. Everyone just bowed.

"Dear, when did you get home?" Lady Morbucks asked.

"Oh, just now. I have some business to attend to, so I'll eat supper in my study." Lord Morbucks looked at me, he lifted up my face by touching my chin, "My goodness, Buttercup, you look warm. I hope you're alright...not getting sick?"

"Oh no...M'Lord, I'm fine."

"Good...very good." He was looking at me funny, but then he walked out of his room.

"Buttercup?" Lady Morbucks called me, I turned my head, "I believe you have some chores to finish." Lady Morbucks glared at me like I did something wrong.

Brianna was grabbing buckets and buckets from a small stream while I was chopping up fire wood, this wasn't hard for me, I was finished chopping in two minutes at least. I even helped Brianna a little carrying the buckets.

"That was brilliant Brianna."

"Thank you. But Buttercup...I won't you to be very very careful around Lord Morbucks ok..."

First Bubbles and now Brianna and the look Brianna was giving me, she was serious.

"What do you mean?"

"All I'm saying is...I've been...you see...Lord Morbucks has a weakness for pretty women and the last maid-"

"BRIANNA!" Lady Morbucks called, and Brianna runs off.

I was hired because I was pretty?

Prince Boomer never came and it rained for at least a week.

I was already at my wits' end, I couldn't stand being inside for too long, it's an Earth Fairy's weakness. Being inside and cleaning...it was really hard control my magic...I had several 'accidents' around the house, plants growing like crazy when I was close by. A Delivery boy...came at the door...he was wearing weird, fancy clothes, him and Lady Morbucks were whispering, but when they saw me as I was scrubbing the floors the boy left and Lady Morbucks looked at me. I just scrubbed the floors faster, trying not to look back up as I felt her standing over me.

"Buttercup...are you busy?" Lady Morbucks finally asked. She gave me this strange, superior like look as I towered over her, "My Word, I believe you've gotten taller. How unlady like?"

I stayed silent, "My mom said I got it from a relative." I hinted.

"Of course, Margaret...Aunt Margaret." She cleared her throat.

My eyes widened, she knew...she knew about Aunt Margaret, of course I never met this Margaret, "So...you are my cousin...right?"

Lady Morbucks' eyes widened and I felt this sting, she slapped me, it didn't hurt,"Don't speak like that...Ever! Do you hear me, "Lady Morbucks gave me this cold glance, the angry just drained from her face, "Now, listen...I need some mushrooms...from the enchanted Forest."

I was still shocked by the slap as I looked outside, it was stormy and raining, "I'm sorry but...I can't go outside...not in this weather."

"That is an order. You will go and pick mushrooms-"

"Lady Morbucks!" Elisa interrupted her, yelling her name from down the hall, "Beg your pardon, M'Lady, but I need Buttercup...Lord Morbucks wants to speak to her."

"Oh yes, of course."

Normal POV

Maggie and Elisa were preparing for bed, they slept in the attic of the Manor.

"Brianna seems so sad lately...I wondered what it could be." Maggie was worried.

"Maybe it's a boy?" Elisa guessed.

"I wish a boy would make my grandbaby unhappy, he will get a good thrashing from me' Broom. But...we must keep a close eye on Buttercup...she's so innocent...It would break me' heart if she was hurt. Her mother was an angel."

"Of course...and she's just as a beauty as her too...but did you hear...I heard that her and Lady Morbucks could be related."

"No...Rose Lily...and Lady Morbucks...no way...there is no way that Lady Morbucks could be so low that she would work her own family-"

"Maggie...please...I know what I heard...Buttercup asked if she was her cousin and Lady Morbucks slapped her. She was even going to send that poor child in the rain."

"You don't think-"

"I do...Lady Morbucks was trying to get her sick...like her mother...trying to get her killed off as well."

"How Heartless...but Buttercup has her father's constitution and strength. Tony has never been sick a day in his life."

The Next Day

Butch was in the enchanted Woods with Scholar Utonium, Ken and Poochie were by the lake. Butch came only to paint the landscape. Butch watched as Scholar Utonium was putting on these weird shoes on, they looked like mini boats.

"Imagine, your Highness, able to walk on water, not having to use a boat to cross streams or lakes."

"Or...something that was already invented...a boat."

"Where's the fun in that?" Utonium glowed at excitement as he stepped on the water, "Now observe."

"Careful Dad."

Back to Buttercup

I couldn't help it...I ran out of the house as fast as I could, Fang stretch and followed me. It finally stopped raining...it stopped raining.

"C'mon Titan...ready?" I pulled Titan out of the stable...he impatiently stopped that heavy hooves to the ground, I put on a bridle and reins...we didn't have a saddle, Fang flew into my basket. I jumped on and Titan started off...yes I rode like a man...none of that side saddle crap...

When the cold wind is calling

I laughed as Titan was going faster and faster, I already tied Titan's reins' rope around the basket's handle, so it wouldn't fall...I was going to get those damn mushrooms anyway..that's the excuse I'm going to use.

Misty mountains sing and beckon,

Titan was already running through the New Town Shire, Titan was speeding...hearing his hooves running on the cobblestones.

"Whoa Titan...slow down!" I ordered, but Titan was running. He jumped over a man and his cart, "Sorry."

I leaned closer to Titan's head, "C'mon Titan...fly...you can do it...fly."

Titan was running his real speed...as we were going through the woods. Trees were passing us, the wind pushing my hair back. I thought I could fly...it felt like flying.

Where dark woods hide secrets
And mountains are fierce and bold
Deep waters hold reflections
Of times lost long ago

I know Mom was always glad that I never had wings but I would love to fly...Titan jumped over a log, high in the air. It would be awesome to be able to touch the sky...soaring with the birds...I wonder how high a fairy can fly.

I pulled Titan's reins a little as he slow down to a halt. I jumped off of him and patted him on the nose. Fang came out of the basket, dizzy...he fell to the ground with swirls in his eyes.

I chuckled and picked him up, "C'mon now, Fuzz ball, time for mushroom hunting." I patted Titan on the head. He wasn't going anyway...Titan only let me and Dad ride him anyways, "Don't worry Boy, won't be gone long."

Everywhere I walked, the plants seem to come alive...Man I love being outside...as I spread my hands out, green energy flew out of them, causing things to grow. It was gonna be a great day, maybe after work I can play soccer with the twins...teach them some new moves. The wind started to blow through the trees and blowing in my face...

As I was digging and grabbing brown mushrooms...I noticed how dirty my hands were...I looked into a lake at my reflection...and I laughed...I must've been rubbing mud and dirt on my face.

"Ya know...Lady Morbucks would be upset if I came dirty...and who needs more of that screaming." I laughed as I jumped into the clear lake.

I was swimming on my back with my eyes closed...I sighed...I probably should get back...soon. I opened my eyes...and...

"Oh Good Morning." A man greeted me...I just screamed and started kicking water at him as I was swimming back. The man screamed and fell into the water. I sighed as I helped the man back to shore, with his strange boots things.

"Dad, you ok?" It must be his son.

"Maybe I should leave the water to the sailors...but lucky for me, I found a mermaid." The man laughed.

"Countess Black Rose!"

I know that voice...I know that voice...my heart was thumping and I felt do sick...as I looked up.

"Prince!" I was still too shock to see him, I slipped on a rock, "It's slippery, hah!"
