A/N: Hello! :D I was on holiday last week so I couldn't write this chapter as fast as normal, sorry about that.

"alrighty, i think i like the way this story is going. i just had a thought that at one point Ahri is feeling down and Vatra indulges her in a kiss to make her feel better. just maybe an idea."

Maybe ;)

"Great story, I really enjoyed reading through all of it. I like the fact that you are actually developing Ahri as a character, unlike most other M rated fanfics about her.

Anyway, another awesome chapter as usual. Also I know that a few other reviewers have mentioned this, but don't rush the lemon. I enjoy this story because of your writing and a more unique way of viewing Ahri. I never thought that she would be bullied by other champions, but it works. And now you've made me hate Lux :P.

Well I don't have much else to say except keep up the good work, and hopefully you can update very often :D. I'll continue following."

Thank you :D

Vatra shuffles awkwardly in his seat. His cheeks evidently rosy red after his encounter with Ahri last night. Sitting across the table from him is Ahri, peacefully tucking into her food without a care in the world.

"Not eating?" She asks Vatra in a sweet innocent voice.

Ahri gently places her fork down and rests her chin upon the back of her hands. Vatra flickers his eyes up and back down again, flustered.

"About last night…"

"Did you like it? I will do it again if you want to, maybe lie on your back this time?" Ahri cuts him off, poking her tongue out.

"No, it is just that… friends don't normally do, that..."

"They don't?" Ahri asks him with curiosity.

Before answering, Vatra looks around the dining hall, quite a few people from other tables give a disappointed stare, not only at him, but also at Ahri. He then makes a determined face

"I'll show you what friends normally do."

"A concert?" Ahri questions as they walk down the aisle cutting through the rows of seats

"Never been to one?"

"Nope." She replies bluntly.

Ahri looks around the auditorium, many people of various walks of life are assembling, looking for their seats. Also within the crowd are summoners and other champions. To her far left she spots Swain hobbling down the aisle.

"Over here." Vatra whispers to Ahri.

She nods and sits beside him.

"This got sold out in minutes, it should be a good show.

"Okay." She replies as the yellow lights dim and a spotlight illuminates the centre of the stage.

Sona walks onto the stage with her etwahl, a serene and calm tone on her face. She positions her hands over the thin strings of the golden instrument and plucks them with finesse.

Ahri watches intently in both entertainment and awe. Her very notes seems to sway her soul as she listens. She tilts her head to look at Vatra, who hasn't noticed that Ahri is looking at him.

As time goes on and Sona continues to play, Ahri finds her interest beginning to waver, not that she dislikes the music, but more that listening to music is not to her tastes. Ahri slumps in her chair a little as Sona continues to play.

Ahri yawns as she and Vatra walk out the doors of the amphitheatre, the glaring sun from the afternoon now yellowing into a warm evening.

"What did you think?" He asks her as they walk down the cobblestone street.

Ahri's attention spikes up when he asks her. Her tails furl around each other as she tries to find an excuse to tell him that she didn't like it.

"Um… well…"

"You didn't like it did you?" he cuts in. "It's fine if you don't"

After registering what he said, Ahri nods and parts her lips

"I didn't like it." She almost blurts out.

"That's fine." He says with a smile.

They continue to walk down the cobblestone street, Ahri looks around, taking in her surroundings.

"Where do you want to go?" Vatra suddenly asks.

"Hm? Me?" Ahri asks him back, surprised.

"Yeah."

"Uhh, well." Ahri thinks out loud, her tails swishing around in the air.

Ahri's gold eyes then glance over to the left. A small park with a children's playground stands idly in the amber light.

"How about there?" She points, her voice piping up.

"There? But that's a playground."

"Oh, well never mind then…"

"No, no, no, let's go." He says, gently directing Ahri by her shoulders to the playground.

"She is a fox I guess." He thinks to himself.

Ahri skips over to the quiet playground with a happy smile. Her mischievous fox tendencies beckoning her to play. She gently sits on the swing, tucking her snow white tails behind herself. She gently pushes herself forward with her feet and starts to swing back and forth.

Vatra sits himself down on the swing next to Ahri and watches her enjoy herself.

Once Ahri slows down to a stop again, Vatra opens his mouth.

"So what was it like being a fox?" He asks almost suddenly

Ahri looks at him surprised at his question.

"Well, was not bad. As a fox there were no rules, I could do whatever I wanted, that was great, but I had always felt that there was something more to life than that."

Ahri sticks out her hand, her fingers splaying upward.

"When I became a human I felt amazing, I felt and experienced so many things I wouldn't have before." She continues with a small smile.

"But, there are many things that a fox can do that a human cannot. Human live by rules and standards." She says in a more serious tone, her hand closing into a fist.

"Oh I see."

"How about you?" She asks "What was life like before you came to the league?"

"Well," He begins, swinging back and forth a little. "Ever since I could remember I always wanted to be a summoner in the institute, I watched many of the matches played by the challenger tier summoners and loved to see all of you champions fight."

Ahri sits patiently, listening to him.

His face becomes more serious as he clears his throat.

"In Piltover, when I received the invitation to become a summoner, I was ridiculously excited. But Up till I stepped into the institute, I didn't realise what I would throw away if I became a summoner." Vatra then looks up. "Sorry if I rambled on a bit."

Feeling a tinge of pain coming from Vatra, Ahri rubs his shoulder with a genuine smile.

"No, it's fine, keep going."

"When I became a summoner, I didn't think about who I left behind. My mother."

"Oh no…" Ahri thinks to herself

"I left her in Piltover to become a summoner, she then had died a week later." Tears form in the corners of his eyes. "We had an argument before I left. The last thing I said to her was to go away and to leave me alone."

Vatra's tears drip onto his shirt as he tries to speak, but his dry throat stopping him.

Ahri immediately stands up and embraces him in a warm hug.

"I'm sorry" She whispers into his ear, his tears now making Ahri's shoulder damp.

With a few small whimpers, Vatra wraps his arms around Ahri as well.
