Kevin bit his lip nervoulsy.

...So he does like me...

He got up and began pacing around but his thoughts were soon interupted by buzzing sounds. Kevin took out his phone from his pocket and read the text.

From: Miss. Flower :)

Hey, any luck finding Edd's parents?

-Daisy

Oh crap Kevin had forgotten the reason he had come over in the first place. He quickly replied.

To: Miss Flower :)

No not yet, I'll text you if and when I do.

-Kev.

Kevin sighed and made his way to Edd's desk in hope for a contact book.

"Nada." said the frustrated teen.

He made his way downstair and into the kitchen. He looked at the fridge where two yellow sticky notes with phone numbers written on them.

"Choice." Kevin said.

He took out his cell phone and dialed the number.

-ring...-

-ring...-

"Thank you for calling this is Beatrice and you're calling Dr. Vincents office how may I help you?" Said a woman on the other line.

"Uh hello yes um I need to speak to Mr. Vincent urgently."

"Okay may I have your name please sir?"

"Kevin Barr."

"Okay let me go ahead and see if he's in."

"Thanks." Kevin said.

He waited for what seemed like hours before the lady returned.

"Hello sir? Thank you for waiting , I'm going to transfer you to Dr. Vincent thank you for calling."

"Thanks again."

Kevin waited for a brief moment before a males voice was calling out to him.

"Hello this is Dr. Vincent to whom do I owe this plessure?

"Uh hey Mr.V it's Kevin Barr."

"Ah yes the red haired neighbor boy, what may I assist you with Kevin?

"I have bad news, something happened to your son."

"My son?."

"Uh yes.. Eddward you know sock hat? Gap tooth? Really smart?"

"Yes well what happened?"

"He got really hurt, think he broke and or bruised a rib."

"And?"

"And?" Kevin said. "And he's in the hospital and he needs his parents."

"Eddward doesn't require our assistance, he's capable to handle himself."

"It's not about handling himself it's about you being his dad and giving him the comfort he needs."

"Mr. Barr my son is fine by himself , he needs not comfort but isolation to help him depend on himself, what is he now? 13? He should be fine."

Kevin began to grind his teeth.

"If you're so smart you should be able to calculate his birth date and the year it is now and know that he is 16 you ass!"

Mr. Vincent cleared his throat.

"Do not call my office again, or I will have you arrested for harrassment Mr. Barr, now you have a pleasent day."

-Dial tone-

Kevin clenched his fist and dialed the phone to the same number.

"Thank you for calling this is Beatrice and you're calling Dr. Vincents office how may I help you?"

"Yea Hi I need to talk to Mr. Vincent."

"And who may I ask is calling?"

"Kevin Barr."

"I'm terribley sorry Mr. Barr but unfortunatly Dr. Vincent has advised me not to take and or transfer your calls, we have your number on record and if you further proceed to contact us I have been instructed to notify the athorities, have a good day sir."

- Dial tone-

Kevin rubbed his eyes in frustration.

"What kind of prick dad thinks a child can handle himself by himself?"

Kevin then looked under the that sticky note where there was another with a different number.

"Let's hope it's his mom, mom's are more caring right?"

-Ring...-

"I can wait or call back if thats okay?"

"Sounds great she will be out in around thirty minutes."
