"You never expected this day to come. You thought you were always one step ahead of me. You thought you were cleverer than me. Perhaps you are. You certainly fooled me for a long time. But you made a mistake. You made it a long time ago when you killed my family. I would have grown tired of helping the police, no money in it. You didn't make me see the light, you created a hunger for revenge that is never sated until accomplished."
Jane removes the knife now dripping with blood, takes a deep satisfying breath.
