Let me know what you guys think!

Kenzie.

Nell laid wrapped up in Callen's arms, watching the sunset on the beach. The waves were crashing in and sea gulls were flying in the distance. She felt Callen caressing her back and whispering in her ear as they watched the sky turn to a brilliant pink and orange. Nell giggled as he blew softly behind her ear. She felt something hit her arm and she looked down finding a splatter of blood. Within seconds another splatter had hit her arm and Nell looked up in horror as she realized it was raining blood. She screamed as she looked down at Callen who had collapsed to the ground holding his stomach.

"No! Please!" Nell screamed. Nell went to take off running, the sand acting as quick sand and she felt something hit her in the back as she fell to the ground. She sat up and wrapped her arms around her legs burying her face into her knees. She heard the gunshots getting louder and she knew death was near. This could not be happening again. She could not do it again...Her chest was hurting and she couldn't breathe…she was growing dizzy and she began to prepare herself for hell. She knew that is where she would go because she had killed an innocent man. She couldn't fight this time, she didn't deserve to live. She would sit and wait for them to take her. The pain in her back got worse and she reached back finding blood, she figured she had gotten shot in the back. The rain continued to hit her and she began to count to herself in order to prevent being scared of dying. She was expecting everything to start getting hotter, but instead things got colder. She figured this was the last step until death took her…she had always heard people's bodies would go into shock right before their untimely death. She was shivering and she sat next to Callen waiting for death to take her.

Nell heard talking in the distance, the rain subsided, and someone was shaking her shoulder. Nell looked up into the eyes of the angel…she had went to heaven after all.

20 minutes Prior

Nell tapped her foot rhythmically against the floor. She was slowly going crazy not being able to do anything of use to aid in the investigation. She was irate that Hetty would allow her to go into the field when the case didn't involve her, but when it came to this case she was being treated like she was just another person.

"If you don't like watching this, I can change the channel." Deeks offered.

Nell shook her head and sighed, "I am going to go and take a shower…if that is okay with you."

Deeks shrugged and threw a piece of popcorn in his mouth, "Yeah, okay."

Kensi eyed Deeks suspiciously, he had not let Nell out of his sight since they had arrived at the safe house. Kensi had a strong feeling that it was because he was scared Nell would spill what had happened in the shooting range if given the opportunity. Kensi knew she wouldn't have an excuse to follow Nell because the bathroom was conveniently located in the basement as well. Nell would not be able to make an escape unless she walked directly in front of them.

Deeks and Kensi sat in silence, neither one wanting to give in. Kensi knew that Deeks would not be able to be silent for long and she was right, after fifteen minutes he glanced at her, "You know something?" he asked.

"What?" Kensi inquired.

"I think you want me to wonder about what is in the box and that is why you won't tell me, so I just wanted you to know that I no longer care." Deeks was lying but he was hoping reverse psychiatry would work on his partner.

"Okay." Kensi knew Deeks well enough to know that he was lying and was not going to play along.

Deeks fidgeted shooting a sideway glance in her general direction, "It must be something embarrassing though or…" his voice trailed off as Nell's screaming filled the room.

"No! Please!" Right after the scream a loud bang erupted from behind the bathroom door.

Kensi jumped up and ran to the bathroom attempting to open the door, "Nell, let me in!" Kensi heard Nell scream but got no other response. Kensi began banging on the door.

Deeks approached quickly with the key he had grabbed from the hide a key. "Move." Kensi ordered rushing into the bathroom once Deeks had unlocked the door. Deeks stood right outside waiting to see if Kensi would say she needed help, he did not want to invade the analyst's privacy by storming into the bathroom unless it was absolutely necessary.

As Kensi entered the bathroom she noted that the shower curtain rod had been pulled down and was sitting in the tub right beside Nell. Nell sat curled up in the bathtub, "Nell?" Kensi asked quietly. Nell did not answer. Kensi approached the tub and reached in to shut the water off, Kensi recoiled as the cold water hit her. She gently shook the young woman's shoulder, "Nell?" Nell slowly looked up and stood wide eyed looking at Kensi.

Kensi gasped slightly upon seeing the youngest member of their team's face. She looked empty and as though she had given up on living, "Are you okay Nell?" Kensi asked. Nell sat staring at Kensi not answering. Kensi grabbed the towel and tossed it over the woman's shoulders upon noticing Nell shivering, "Deeks, call Nate and Callen." Kensi called as she noticed Nell was hyperventilating. "Got it!" Deeks responded.

"Slow your breathing Nell." Kensi ordered quietly. Kensi placed her hands on Nell's shoulders and pulled her up into a standing position, "We're going to get you dressed Nell...It will help you warm up."
