Sorry it took so long:( It's hard being a High school student with all college classes:o I hope you enjoy:) It's extra long!
"Yes. And you will be too." we heard a voice say.
Call it what you will. A spy's intuition or just that hair-raising feeling you get on the back of your neck when you know someone is behind you. A firm hand griped my wrist. I tried to shake it off, but the grip wouldn't loosen.
It didn't help that I couldn't see anything either. But somehow I managed. Of course I had taken P&E for many years now, so I know the approximate locations of some very soft spots. But I'm not going to put you through me recalling each painful detail (not painful for me, but for him). I will just tell you, though, he probably won't be walking straight for at least a week.
I heard Macey and Bex fighting off their mysterious attackers as well. But they were also hidden from darkness. I tried to run over and help.
"Macey! Bex? Where are you." I called to them.
"Here!" I heard Macey cry. I bumped into her and she handed me a pair of the sunglasses she was using earlier. I hastily put them over my eyes. The world became a strange shade of green, but now at least I could see.
I heard the click of a bullet being loaded in the barrel of a gun and I froze.
The cool metal of a gun was pressed against my left temple.
"Let's just stop this right now." A cold woman's voice said. Immediately I heard Macey and Bex stop fighting. Someone flicked on the switch and I squinted. Bex and Macey took of their glasses and stood with their hands in the air in surrender. I felt myself doing the same.
Someone tied us all up and sat us next to some crates. Eva, Tina, and Anna were all unconscious and laying beside us. Macey's was staring daggers at Will, who was perched atop some crates and Bex was furiously trying to untie her knots.
"I would stop trying." the woman said again. She was hidden in the shadows of the crates, but I knew who she was. It was Zach's mom. "I learned those knots in P&E. You wouldn't be able to get out of them without a spork and some chunky peanut butter or a really strong knife." She walked into the light and Macey and Bex laid eyes for the first time on the woman who haunted our every thoughts for the past few months.
"She's not as scary as I thought she would be." Bex whispered in my ear. But I knew she didn't know the half of it.
"Why are you doing this? You were a Gallagher Girl. What made you become like this?" Macey spat. But I knew the answer. And as Gallagher Girls, we had the right to become whoever, whatever, we wanted to be.
"That's not important now." She cooed. Zach's mom went over and sat beside Will and smoothed his hair. "I believe you three have met this fine young man?"
"Yeah. We're acquainted." Bex spat.
"Isn't he just charming?" She rubbed her finger under Will's chin. Will didn't recoil. He seemed to enjoy the gesture. "Much better than the original." She winked at us. "But don't tell him that."
Zach's mom stood up and walked the short distance of the room to one large crate. She opened it and pressed a button on the inside. We heard a faint click as she closed the crate.
"Aren't you wondering who this really is?" she asked, gesturing to Will, who coyly smiled. I raised an eyebrow. "How he could look so much like my Zachary, but be nothing like him? Well, I'll tell you. It's a short little story that should only last a few minutes. Giving us the perfect amount of time to escape.
"When Zachary told me that he didn't want to join the Circle and become part of the group, I felt very disappointed. I had sent him to Blackthorne so he could learn the basics then come running back into our arms. But that didn't happen. And it didn't help that he met you," she looked at me. "And he knew what the Circle's objectives were. He felt protective of you." she mocked. "He wanted to keep you safe. I knew he would never come back to us. So I made Will here." Will gave a small smile and waved.
"He's a perfect copy of Zach, just without the disobedient attitude he acquired after he met you. The only difference in the appearance is that Will doesn't have the same eyes. Just a minor defect of cloning process, I'm sure." She waved away the thought. "And now, he's my new obedient little boy." She smiled at Will who practically glowed.
"That's nice to hear." a growl came from on top of a stack of crates. We all looked up but couldn't see anything.
"Awe, Zachary. Have you come to play the knight again? Well, you can either save your girlfriends and the whole arena, or you could bring me and Will down. Your choice." she said. "You only have three minutes. Ta-ta!" Then Zach's (and somewhat Will's) mom swept out of the room followed by the rest of the guards and Will, who locked the door.
Zach jumped down from his hiding spot on top of the dark crates. He pulled out a pocket knife and started sawing away at the roped.
"Good to see you too." I replied when he cut me free. I massages by wristed before going to check on the unconscious girls.
"We only have a minute left! We have to disable the bomb!" Macey said. She ran over to the box and threw the lid aside. "Uh, anyone know how to disable a Master BOOM 7100?" she uttered. I looked at Zach.
"They don't really teach us that. Only how to detonate and activate them." he shrugged.
"Oh move over!" Bex cried. "I disabled this kind when I disabled the one under the Queen's box at Wimbledon!" Bex began furiously searching through the wires. "Blue wire, blue wire, blue wire." she muttered.
Down to 30 seconds now.
Zach hugged me closed to him, as if trying to shield me from whatever blast would come. I mentally ticked the seconds by in my mind.

"Got it!" Bex finally screamed. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth. But we didn't have time to relax and celebrate now.
"C'mon! We still might be able to catch them!" I ran for the door with my friends behind me. The door was easy to kick down. Once we got out of the room, my comms crackled to life.
"Tech team! I need a visual on the POIs. Search every exit!" I heard Zach shout through his comms. There was a quick reply. "They went through the performers' exit! Hang a right and down the stairs." We sprinted down the stairs and into a whole new world.
Hundreds of dancers and people in costumes we passing us with interested looks. But we didn't stop. I heard Bex scream behind me as she skidded to a stop.
"Ah! It's Harry Styles!" She gasped. Harry must have turned around and given her a wave because she giggled profusely.
"Hey," Harry looked at her with even more interest. "You were that one girl from our London show. You saved us from the crazy-"
"Yeah we gotta go." Macey said, cutting him off mid-sentence and pulling Bex back into a run.
"What was that about?" I asked Bex when she caught back up with us.
"You have your Saturday activities, I have mine." she said smoothly. But she couldn't suppress the smile sliding on her face. I shook my head in disbelief.
"Abby! They're heading for the performers' exit! I repeat, the performers' exit!" I shouted into the comms. Hopefully she got it.
We rounded another corner and burst through a set of double doors and into a dimly lit street. I just barely caught a glimpse of Zach's mom getting into the car, Will closing the door behind her.
"Stop!" I shouted. She said something to Will and he nodded. Will closed the door and the car began to roll away.
Zach suddenly pulled a handgun out of the back of his pants and began shooting at the car. Right then, he was strong and scary. Not the Zach I knew, but the Zach trained without mercy from Blackthorne.
He stopped shooting and put his attention back on Will.
Will cracked his knuckles.
"Let's have some fun!" he laughed.
I have an idea for a new story! It would be a couple of short tales from the girls' early days at Gallagher. Tell me what you think!
15 days! 6 Hours... 30 mins... 5...4...3...
It doesn't count if you're in the UK and already have the book:) But you guys are LUCKY!
-Amelia!
