Two days later, 6:50 am.

"It's time to get up, Becky."

Becky groaned in annoyance and turned away from Crane, standing beside the bed. "No."

Crane raises an eyebrow. "Did you just disobey me?"

"So what if I did?"

Crane narrowed his eyes in annoyance. "It is too early to be having this discussion. Get up and eat your breakfast."

He leaves the room and Becky hesitantly sits up. After a moment, she got out of bed and sleeping walked into the kitchen. Once there, she sees the plate of food waiting for her and she perks up at the sight. She sat down and eagerly began to eat. Crane finished his meal and stood up, ready to leave. And idea came to Becky and she hurried to ask.

"So...Now that we're cool and all, when can I get my bracelet off?"

Crane looked at her, not surprised. "We'll wait and see. The quantity of your freedom is up to you. Hopefully it shouldn't be any more than a few weeks."

Becky sighs. "I thought you trusted me."

Crane frowned and reached down to run his fingers through Beckys hair in a soothing gesture. "I do. But at the same time, I'm not foolish enough to leave you to your own devices this early in your transition. Your mind is at a fragile place right now and I can't take any chances. This is for your benefit, I hope you understand that."

Becky nodded sadly before standing up and giving Crane a hug. After a moment, he returned the gesture.

"Thank you Johnathan."

Crane pulls away first and quickly adjusts his tie before turning towards the front door. "I have a class at eight thirty."

Becky nods in understanding. "See you tonight."

6:23 pm.

Becky rushed to the front door as soon as she heard the tell tale sound of the lock. As soon as Crane closed the door behind him, Becky ran over and enveloped him in a warm hug, catching him off guard.

"I missed you. It's so lonely being here by myself."

"And I you, Becky...can you release me now?"

Becky let go of her grip and Crane adjusted his glasses. He smiled slightly at her. "I brought you something."

"What?"

Crane reached over and opened his suitcase. He produced a well used book and handed it to Becky. She looked at it questioningly.

"Alice in Wonderland?"

"Miss Penance left it in class today. I thought you would appreciate it."
