Len POV.

I began to wake up when the ray of light from the sun hit me. My eyes began to flutter, revealing my blue orbs eyes. It seems that we're still in the boat. I don't know how but somehow I managed to entertain myself and Kagamine for the entire night. Thus keeping us awake on our journey. I'll swallow my pride and admitted, it was quite fun being with her.

Rin is also sleeping in front of me, her eyes close shut. She looks tired and I almost pitied her. Almost. However, I will not pity her. I suddenly feel an amount of life energy nearby and I smirk a little. How lucky we are right now. Not far from here is Rosenhalz town. Slowly, I took the paddle from her hand and began to row the boat. As I paddle, I realised I am in a royalty clothes. I frown before casting magic around myself, the clothes began to change into a normal attire.

White long sleeve button shirt, knee long black shorts with matching boots and a newspaper boy cap. Perfectly normal. The I summoned a thin white blanket and covered it on Rin, making her look as if she's sick. Soon, we're at the port of Rosenhalz town and some fishermen were in the borders. They notice us and quickly rushed to our way. I put on a panicked face and began pretending as if pleading for help.

"Someone! Please helped me! My sister is sick and-and!" I randomly stuttered my words when inside, I was rolling my eyes and laughing maniacally when a fisherman began other close to Rin and touch her forehead. His eyes widened wide and face began to panicked, making myself look at him weirdly so are the others.

"Her body temperature is hot! Quick! Help me carry her to the clinic!" all of them surrounded Rin and carry her to the clinic(lol). A man put his hands on my shoulder and pat it. I look at him, wanting to frown and slapped the disgusting hands off me but remember I'm putting on a not so much of an act anymore.

"You're sister will be fine my boy. The doctor over here knows the best and what to do" After that he left me standing in the port alone. Imbecile fools. As if this doctor knows what's best to do. Never thought the people had fallen this low... The town really look ugly and torn apart as if it had been abandoned. I scowled at the sight and at the headache I'm began to receive. I gritted my teeth and his my head as hard as I could. Trying to make it stop.

Sooner or later, I began to catch up with the fishermen and when I looked at Rin, my headache slowly disappear. I frown when I realised it stops aching and let out a tired sigh. I'm too old for this junk. I look at the weird doctor who's chanting some weird spell that I think is very fake. I smirk inside knowing the doctor is a complete idiot. Oh dear, how many days will it take for her to wake up. I walk away from the funny sight and look up at the clear sky. I close my eyes and let the darkness embrace me.

When I open my eyes, I was in a flower field. I look around to see two people playing together. A young woman who look exactly like Rin and the lookalike me. I decided to dubbed them as Rinny and Kuro(dark/black). Rinny seems to be making what's look like a crown of flowers. Kuro looks happy as he look at her making it, seemly to be amaze by it which made me chuckle on how ridiculous the scene is. The boy had eyes of being in love despite the age differences. When the flower crown was finessed, Rinny put it on Kuro's head making him blush and laugh nervously.

I walk towards them, knowing they can't see me before the image change into a dark scenery with candle burning low as the only source of light. Between me and the scenery is a mirror. So all I could do is watch. This time is Rin, sitting alone across a very small round table. The other side is a skeleton wearing clothes similar to Kuro's and mine, a royal outfit. The dish is gruesome looking, I almost puke at the sight of the food. Tongue, eyeballs and fingers were there. Rin seems like talking to the skeleton before stoping and put her head down. Then, suddenly she look my way despite she's not suppose to see me. Her eyes widened the same goes for me and she said something to me before the skeleton suddenly jumped to her, biting her at the neck and they both disappear together.

Frightened, I put my hand on my chest and shout her name. I close my eyes and scream at the top of my lungs. Dispute not hearing what she said, I'm very good at reading lips.

'Help me'

"Dammit! Kagamine Rin!" I roared as loudly as I can, on the mirror's reflection, I could see my eyes turn red. Wings slowly turn visible and flare as I scream Rin's name.

You cried just now

like a sobbing child.

Even if the future becomes invisible, I will protect you.

I gazed up and stared at the summer sky.

You keep trying to act tough and refuse to show your tears,

despite the fact that you're actually scared.

In order not to lose those important to you,

you have run this far desperately.

We have waded through many long nights together.

You don't need to act tough anymore, for we will stay together now.

Normal POV.

Rin eyes fluttered open and was shocked that she was surrounded by strange people. She gasped and her eyes show fear before she was calm down by them. She doesn't remeber much but she was in the boat with Len and then... She put her hand on her head as it began aching and another hand to her neck.

'The skeleton... Bit me...' She thought to herself as her breath hitched as she finally remember a certain someone. She look up and to search for arrogant blonde boy and sigh in relief when she notice he was sleeping. She could feel her knee shaking as she stands up but was help by the men.

"Don't worry, child. Your brother is safe. He just fainted, we guess he was too frightened for your health. What a good boy" An old lady said and the others chuckle lightly, her comment seems to lightening up the mood in the room. Rin nodded her head slowly but she didn't let her guard down. Then Rin suddenly thought of one thing at the man's comment.

'Brother?'

Rin POV.

My face didn't faze but I do seem curious of what the man meant by 'brother'. Did Len lied when we came here? I guess this is the other town Len told about yesterday... Rosenhalz was it? ... I guess I should play the sister role since Len is dubbed to be my 'brother'.

I look up at the man with pleading eyes I usually use on mother when I wanted another cookie. "I... Really want to go there. To be near my brother, mister..." I said in a sad tone, pretending to look as if I miss my brother. I'm not good at lying but I am known for my natural acting. The man who seems to sympathy me, help me stand up and walk there because my legs still feel like jelly. When I reach to him, Len was sweating endlessly and I couldn't help but become worried and afraid for him.

I let go of the man and slapped Len's cheeks lightly. "Wake up! Len! Wake up!" I said in hushed shout like my mother use to do. Len mumbled something and turn around, in return making me frown a bit.

"Wake up!" I scolded lightly but this time I slap his cheeks, hard enough to wake a person up. Len eyes began to fluttered open before he look towards me and glare. I sighed in relief despite being under his glare. He touch his cheeks and winced slightly making him glare harder that I could feel holes burning on my flesh. I sweat nervously.

He pulled me by the wrist, very hard that I think it'll leave a mark and whisper harshly "How dare you slapped on the face, girl?!". I gulped and laugh nervously, officially scared by the tone. I touch his cheeks, remembering we're in front of people.

"I'm sorry brother. I was scared and worried when I see you make such face in your sleep" I said slowly almost whispered but loud enough for all the people in the room to hear. Len, remembering that they're not alone, eyes widened before closing them. He touch my cheeks and look at me in the eyes.

"Forgive me, sister. I was having a very ugly dream that it affected my emotions and movement" he kissed my hand, making me blush lightly "I'm sorry that I hurt you" he said softly. But from awe turn disgust when I see him making a face and hit him on the shoulder lightly, making the adults chuckle at our 'siblings moment' and left the room to give us privacy.

"I don't know what happen here but you're lucky I'm good at acting as your sister" I said, glaring daggers at him while he scowled back. "You had a fever, though I don't know you actually did since at first I was just using you as an excuse to not let them become suspicious of us" he explained, blue eyes close.

Awkward silence...

"I know this is out of the blue Len... But..." I tried to ask him about my dream, no, my nightmare. He was in the dream and looks real, much to my confusion. But bringing it up makes me seem... So... Childish... I bite my bottom lips and swallow my pride before looking at him straight in the eye.

"Didyouhaveadreamaboutmebeingbittenbyaskeleton?" I said it very fast. Lightning fast. Len stare at me but never said a word, again, much to my confusion and displeasure.

Another awkward silence...

He must definitely thinks I'm a joke. Goodbye my pride and egos... You're sacrifice had no purpose!

"Yeah... I saw you being bitten by that skeleton" Len said as he look away, no longer making eye contact with me. My mood brightened a bit before I look down. So it was Len that I saw... I touch my neck again and flinched. The mark may not be there but the feeling of being bitten is there.

"Are you alright Rin? Your neck, doesn't hurt right?" Len asked me and now making eye contact again. I slowly nodded my head and gave him a small smile.

"I'm alright Len... Really, I'm not hurt at all..." I said softly and he look relieve. I look at him before looking away. "But thanks..." I could feel him staring behind my back making me blush for a second.

"For what?" He asked and I could feel my cheeks getting hotter. Oh pride and egos, this will be the second time I say goodbye to you. "For worrying about me..." I said softly and now I feel like I'm going to faint if this goes on.

Len just stare before her too, look away and chuckled at the sight. It's embarrassing but it's not unwelcome. All the memories of Rin being bit disappeared and he finds himself able to relax. Maybe this is a start of a beautiful but weird friendship?
