Okay, I pushed through my writers block and found something i want write about for the next chapter...that I'll think you guys will like ^0^ Oh and I tried to put some more of Rin funny personlity in the end.

~What the future lies ahead

So after killing off the first ten demons, i was dead tired. Although Aida wasn't impressed, she insisted that we should have killed off more. But SHE WASN'T THE ONE CHASING THEM! Now we have to waltz back to her shop which is all the way on the other side of town. The sun was beginning to shine behind the dark skies; a new day was starting. My body was aching to go sleep and rest but for the first time. On the other hand, my stomach beg to differ.

"Lets get some breakfast before we start heading home" I said patting my stomach. I know tummy you're hungry but just hold on a bit.

"Breakfast sound nice, I believe there's breakfast place that's open at this time." She nodded leading the way with her black boots click clacking.

"Hey Aida" I called jogging slightly to catch up to her. She turned her head hearing me call her.

"Do you think this weapon will help me defeat my father" I asked. I didn't want to force myself to use the pendent, especially when I don't need it.

"I can't say, it depends if your sword is strong enough, if not you'll have to turn to the hell's star" She frowned at what she said. At this we continued walking in silents. I didn't bother to keep up the conversation instead welcome the quietness for once

"Rin, that silver hair boy, is he special to you" Aida asked stopping at the crossing line that led to the other sidewalk.

My face couldn't help but heat a bit. Zero. Did she had to bring him up? I barely a smidge got him out my mind. "Do you have feelings for him?" She asked suddenly becoming scarly serious.

"Yes, why?"

"Stay away from that boy, you'll only cause each other trouble" She gruffly said glaring up at me which i was happily to glare back.

"Aida, stay out of it" I seethed. I don't need to hear it from her when Kuran already said it. It's not like they have anything that goes between me and Zero.

"You don't get it. You two don't belong together. The relationship between you too was never suppose... to happen" She tried to whisper the last part but I heard it all to well.

"Lets hurry up and go eat" I growled crossing over to the other street where the diner was at. I did my best to block out what she said about me and Zero not suppose to be with each other. I took a small glance at Aida. She didn't say anything... she just followed.

I pushed the door open, hearing a little bell ring at the top of the door signaling customers arriving. A small petite girl with short curly blonde hair and green eyes wearing blue apron around her waist was at the front of the door.

"Table for two" I said.

"Please follow me this way" She smiled grabbing two menus walking quickly to a table near a window.

As we sat down, the women took out her pen and did the usual asking what we wanted to drink. Aida ordered hot tea and i had myself some coffee.

"Rin, please let me explain..." She started.

"I don't want to hear it." I cut her off. The last thing i wanted was to talk about Zero. It was hard enough saying goodbye to him and having the aching feeling of guilt for leaving him.

"Rin, you don't understand" She insisted.

"Yes, your right. I don't understand. I don't understand why, you and kuran are saying I can't be with Zero" I snapped.

"You two...you're not good for each other, you see, there's another girl that suppose to be with Kiryu" Aida said not looking at me but out the window. My heart dropped 1000ft flight down to my stomach.

"Do you know who the girl is?" I questioned trying to hide the painful look on my face.

"It's not clear, but I think you know" Aida said folding her hands tightly.

"Why'd you think I know, and how do you know it's another girl" I growled. What are the odds it still could be me.

"Because I dreamed of the future, of a silver hair boy kissing a girl at a top of building...and for sure it wasn't you because you.." She stopped and said something completely random "You can't break destiny, believe me, I tried" She murmured.

"Aida, you're doing what Kuran is doing, talking about something, I have no clue to what you're saying." I groaned with annoyance. What's with people with riddles, honestly! Why can't they just say what they wanted to say instead of sugar coating it to ease the pain.

" Rin I also saw your future" She blurted. I felt my mouth nearly drop before the waitress with her same creepy smile.

"Are you guys ready to order" She grinned. We gave her our order, Aida ordering miso soup and I Tamagoyaki. The women nodded and finally went away leaving us in peace.

"W-What did my future say?" I stammered nervously.

"From what I saw you were beaten and enslaved by a powerful person." She said her voice becoming shaky.

"Who was this powerful person?" Please don't be Kaname, Please don't be ITS KURAN I SWEAR I'LL GO OVER TO CROSS ACADEMY AND BEAT HIM. Aida took the cup from her mouth. "I couldn't see that far, but I believe Zero was the cause of it"

"It couldn't be Zero's fault." I shook my head in denial.

"You're right but he didn't save you from it either" She sighed.

"Speaking of Zero, he's here with that girl, Yuki" She said pointing out the window. My body froze. Zero here? I followed what Aida pointed at and sure enough...it was Zero and Yuki.

Zero was with Yuki walking hastily with the headmaster tagging along behind. When I thought Zero was about to look our way, i can hear Aida murmuring softly. He looked directly at me and then continued walking. He didn't know who i was.

"What did you do?!"

"I used a small spell so he wouldn't notice you" She said sipping on her tea. I couldn't help feeling the need to blow up at her. But I couldn't. She had perfectly good reason why to. I just wished he would noticed me.

The waitress came with our meal. I suddenly didn't feel like eating. The fact that Zero didn't notice me really bummed me out.

"Eat, we have a long night coming alone" She said wagging her spoon at me. I nodded and took a bite of my food. Is it possible

~XXX~

After a couple of nights have passed, fighting demons were weirdly becoming easier and easier. I was happy by this but not really. This only meant my demi-demon was becoming stronger. Aida was more worried than me but said that nearly all the demons were gone which meant only two demons were left. My half demon self and my father. She told me the best thing to do was rest and return to her shop to come up with a strategy but I couldn't. I blinked twice activating my golden devilish eyes. I was right.

"There's one more demon" I stated.

Aida face turned from worried to shock. She cracked some of her old bones preparing herself for one more demon. "Well, we have two more hours before sunset, lets hurry and go and take it down-

"No, you won't be coming this time" I shook my head.

"And why not?" She huffed feeling appalled that I wouldn't bring her along.

"Because Cross Academy rulebook states that no one is allowed on campus ground at night or at all if not enrolled or have not set an appointment with the headmaster" I grinned as I continued on speaking "And since you are not a student nor have any set of appointment to visit Cross Academy you are not allowed in"

"Pure baloney!" She shouted.

"Wish it was but those are the rules and since i'm still part of the disciplinary committee, i cannot allow you to enter" I smirked. Who knew the rule book would come in handy? I thought to myself.

"Are you trying to reach your beloved silver haired boyfriend" She rolled eyes.

"No" I replied. Even though i'm aching to see him. I can't. At least not now.

"Fine but I want you back here as soon as you kill of the demon. If not, I will summon you back" She threaten. I nodded my head and raced back to school. I couldn't help but feel my face smile. I was hoping even if its accidental just to see Zero but then I felt myself stop at cross academy gates. What if it was true about what Aida had said. Zero and I not meant to be together. Was I that easily replaced? I shook my negative thoughts. This was no time for sadness. I need to find the demon and get out.

I snuck back into the school easily going through the gate and not trying to test my old ninja skills to jump over it like Yuki does. The school was quiet at night. So nothing has changed. As I was scanning the school, and carefully not trying to get caught by zero and yuki, I still found no traces of the demon. It was as if he disappeared from the area.

I let out sigh I guess there was no point in coming here. I better try to leave before anyone noticed I was even here. That was when i felt a hand grip my arm. I turned my head preparing myself to find out who caught me. My mouth went dry when say the liac gray eyes and silver hair.

"So you're the girl that willing sacrifice to shizuka-sama" He said with no hint of emotion.

"And I'm guessing your Zero's twin brother, Ichiru, that tried to kill your only brother? Talk about family issues" I muttered at the end.

The twin brother didn't say anything or even tried to deny what he attempted to do. I'm guessing as long it was for his pureblood sake he didn't care...or maybe he did.

"What brings you here anyways seeking your revenge." I said narrowing my eyes up at him.

"No, i was actually here to enroll to the school" He smirked.

"You gotta be joking" There has to another reason why he would want to come to cross academy. If not for revenge than what? I couldn't continue my thinking when the brother of Zero kept looking me up and down then stopped at my chest area. WTF!

"Well at least my brother didn't pick that rat haired flat chested brunette girl. Although he could still have chosen a better girl to like...it's no doubt that brother's taste in women has worse-" I interrupted him by kicking him where the sun didn't shine...He bended down in agony comforting his so called manly organ. I grabbed a fistful of his hair to look at me.

" Number one :don't ever call my adopted sister rat haired flat chested girl. Number two: If i ever catch you looking like that way again. I SWEAR I'LL CUT OFF YOUR HAIR. Number 3 I was never here...and where are you staying tonight?" I asked releasing my grip from his hair.

"In hotel for the moment until they accept me into the school...why" He said getting up from the floor carefully.

"AWESOME! I'M BUCKING IN WITH YOU, TONIGHT!" I cheered. The boy looked as if i was crazy...which i was probably was but hey i need to find a place to stay just for the night. I could stay over at Aida's but that means i have to walk all the way back to town and back.

"You are not sleeping at my place" He seethed.

"You can say no all you want but either way i'm going to follow you back there and sneak into your apartment" I shrugged.

"You're completely insane" He sigh slightly tugging a smile

I was thinking for the next chapter, Rin and Ichiru need some bonding time. NOT ROMANTIC BONDING TIME...just to let you know. Just for him to slightly warm up to her...well as much as Ichiru can

don't forget to review :)
