"I'm going out. It looks like I've been called to an emergency meeting."

Ange looked up from the book she was reading. "Oh, is everything alright? We'll take care of the place while you're away, we'll be fine."

He looked a little uneasy. "You're sure you'll be okay? I don't know if leaving you two by yourselves is a good idea."

"Don't worry, dude. We'll be perfectly fine. What could possibly go wrong, anyway?" I chuckled as I put the last of the pancakes I was having as a snack onto my plate.

"Al, every time you say that, you always screw something up." He crossed his arms and sighed. "Well, if you say so. I'll see you guys later. Don't make a mess or set my house on fire, eh?" And with that I heard the door close.

"What's he so worried about? I don't mess up things that often, do I?" I mumbled and topped my snack with whipped cream.

Ange groaned and flopped on the couch. "What should we dooooooo? We have the whole place to ourselves."

"I don't know. Want some pancakes?"

"Non, it's fine."

Suddenly an idea came into my head. I put a handful of whipped cream in my hand, and snuck up behind Ange…

SMACK!

She stood still for a moment, her jaw dropped. If this wasn't the most hilarious thing that's happened to me all month, I don't know what was.

"Alfred, what the hell?!" By this point I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to pass out. That was until she scooped up some of the stuff in her own hand and flung it at me. Argh, it got all over Texas!

"That's what you get!" Oh god, now she had one of those evil smiles on her.

I sprayed some at her again, and this time I dodged her throws.

"S-stop!" She laughed and ducked behind a nearby table, where she grabbed the bottle of water sitting on top of it.

"Don't you dar-"

"Too late!"

It went on for another fifteen minutes, and it wasn't long before the place was a soggy mess. Seriously, it looked like it snowed indoors and flooded at the same time. Ange and I glanced at the mess, and then at each other.

"Well, have fun cleaning up!" She smiled and started walking away.

I pulled her back quickly, handing her a damp washcloth. "You mean, we'll have fun cleaning up. We told Matt we wouldn't trash the place, remember!"

She huffed and clutched the washcloth. "Fine."

It took a long time just to clean up our fifteen-minute mess spree. Some of the stuff even got under the couch! By the time we finished, Matt still wasn't back, so we decided to kill time and watch a movie or two.

"So what movie do you want to watch?"

"I don't know, how about something action-y?"

"I guess I'll just put in The Avengers for you, seeing as you have a thing for heroes."

We got an hour into the movie, and suddenly the front door opened.

"Mon Dieu! What are you guys doing? And why is it so dark in here?"

"Mattie! You nearly had me scared to death!" Ange gasped.

"Don't worry, we're just watching a movie. And what took you so long?"

"I got held up in traffic. By the way, this place looks cleaner than when I last saw it."

"Haha, yeah, I guess it does!" I laughed and winked at Ange.

He walked into the kitchen, and I guess he noticed the empty can of whipped cream in the trash because he looked straight at me with that "I-know-what-you-did" look.
