EPOV:
"Daddy! Daddy! Up! Up!" My two and a half year old little girl shouted at me.
"Shhhhh! Baby girl we have to be quiet remember. Mommy is graduating and we get to see her walk across that big stage."
"Sawry Daddy. I can't see anyting." Sarah Reneesme Cullen was a little handful but I loved her more than I ever thought possible. I gently pick her up and place her on my lap as we wait for the ceremony to start.
I look down my row and see my big family. Some of them have joined us later in life and others have been there for it all. My mom and dad are sitting beside me with video cameras and flowers for my lovely wife. They moved closer to the college once they found out about Sarah and offered Bella and I free daycare and babysitting so we could finish school. We owe them everything. On my other side is my father-in-law Charlie and his new bride, Sue. Later the same weekend that he found out about us, he told us about them. Bella couldn't be happier for her father. Right now Sarah was trying to pull off her grandfather's tie, much to his amusement. Charlie loved his granddaughter and often begged us to let him take her for the weekend.
Rosalie and Emmett sat beside my parents with their one year old son. He was so much like his father that it was truly scary. He was always trying to put the moves on my little girl. Bella thought I was over reacting but I saw him wiggle his hips at her. Of course he did have to pee. I'll be watching him though.
Rosalie worked as a secretary in a law office and Emmett coached football at the local high school while teaching P.E. as well.
Jasper was sitting next to Emmett and Alice's parents. He graduated with me, last year and was teaching at the same high school as Emmett. He was planning to propose to Alice tonight.
"Daddy, where is mommy?" Sarah asked looking up at me with her big brown eyes. She looked just like Bella except for the color of her hair was more bronze like mine.
I scan the graduates in search of my wife but I am unable to spot her now that everyone is sitting and listening to the speaker.
"I don't know baby girl, we will have to wait to see her walk across the stage." I smooth down her hair and we turn our attention back to the ceremony.
These past few years have been a struggle. Once everyone found out about the baby it seemed like time flew by. I was able to work two jobs over that following summer but once Bella was put on bed rest it was hard for me to stay away from her. My parents saw our struggle and helped out by watching Bella while I was at work and giving us the most amazing baby shower.
Once Sarah was born, the lack of sleep really started taking its toll on us in our marriage. One day I came home from classes and Bella was gone and she took Sarah with her. She left me a note saying that she was staying with her dad for the weekend and we would talk when she got back.
I couldn't believe she would do that. For the first hour I was really really mad at her. However, for the rest of the weekend I missed her. I missed my family. So, when she returned I vowed to make us better and we ended up renewing our vows in front of our family and friends.
Miraculously, I graduated last year and found a job at a local elementary school. Having the extra income and not needing to waste my energy with two jobs was amazing for our family.
" Marie Cullen. Graduating with Academic Honors, Summa Cum Laude."
"Mommy! Daddy it's mommy!" Sarah cheered as we all stood up and cheered for my beautiful, pregnant wife.
Yep! We were expecting again. We took Charlie up on his offer to take Sarah for a weekend and we flew to Vegas. I guess we prove the old saying wrong. If my family is any indication- what happens in vegas, follows you home.
Alright…what did you think? Thank you for all the reviews, follows, favs, and chances you guys have given me.. I still have a couple more chapters up my sleeve.
