Smartiepants asked:
"Dear Glinda,
There is a prince that I am utterly IN LOVE with, and I think he loves me too, but I am too shy to talk to him. He is one of my good friends and I think I will ruin everything if I tell him. Plus, no one in his family approves of me, since I am not royalty. What do I do?! (Does this count, since technically it's not popularity advice?)
Love,
A girl in serious need of your advice
I have another letter.
Dear Glinda,
I love wearing girly things and wearing make up and doing my hair all pretty, but I never do any of that stuff. I want to be more popular (because there's nothing better) and this will make me more, but will everyone accept my new style?
Love,
Your bestie other than Elphie )"
Dearest Darlingest Smartiepants,
Impressing someone's family has everything to do with popularity! If they don't know who you are, then you can't count for anything, right? And do you think your prince has brains or knowledge? Pffft. He's popular. And popular is key.
So your not royalty? Then just talk about the things that make you, you. For example. I told Yero's parents I'm a super fast writer. I can write 10 words a minute. And then blammo! They dropped their forks and said "Well...that's pretty fast, then?" And I told them it was the fastest means possible. Just focus on your other talents and morals, and you should be fine. And if you do get together with him, you'll become popular, right? Because princesses are the most popularest people ever!
Yours most since-
OH, WAIT! YAY ANOTHER LETTER!
If people don't accept your new style, they are jealous little lion cubs.
Love, Glindy.
