Draco.

It was Potter who immediately volunteered to perform the Memory charm on Hermione. He was after all a very experienced auror and he knew everything there is to know about wiping someone's memory.

"Right stand aside." He beckoned, brandishing his wand. However Draco had other ideas. He felt that he wanted to do it himself. She was his girlfriend. He wanted to be the one to rid her from this pain and save her. Not that he didn't trust Potter.

"I'll do it." He spoke strongly, standing up and taking out his wand.

Potter was quite taken aback by this declaration, perhaps even a little bit offended but he didn't argue.

"Draco, are you sure?" Potter inquired, raising an eyebrow "Are you any good at memory charms?"

Draco thought about this for a moment. He had also had his fair share of wiping memories. Being a Deatheater meant he had had to perform them fairly regularly to make sure information wasn't spread around and ended up into the wrong hands.

"Yes." He spoke certainly.

Potter glanced at him, he didn't look convinced.

"Malfoy… if this goes wrong…" he warned, taking a step backwards so that Draco could get closer to Hermione.

"It won't." He assured.

He didn't much like Potter's disbelief in him. Of course he knew what he was doing otherwise he wouldn't be pointing his wand at his girlfriend's head.

Suddenly, Hermione let out a pained groan,

"Please can you just hurry up, m-my head…" She whimpered, the pain was obviously growing.

And that was all Draco needed to prepare himself. He gripped his wand tightly and gave Hermione one last longing look. She smiled weakly at him and her eyes begged for him to relieve her from the pain. He was going to save her.

"Obliviate."

Everyone observed as Hermione's eyes shut and her memories were sucked from her. A thin line of white light made its way from her head and into the end of Draco's wand.

She would not remember his father's evil tirade or the downfall of his mother. She would not remember the pain and terror that she was had been subjected to and that is what pleased Draco the most.

Once he had completed the charm, he took a glimpse at Potter and Weasley who were watching eagerly. He guessed that they were just as keen to get the old Hermione back as he was. They could finally go back to normal and live their lives the way they should've been.

Draco lowered his wand and placed it into his pocket before moving over to the side of the bed. Her eyes were still closed and unmoving. It was almost as though she was sleeping. She looked very peaceful.

"I think we should just leave her to rest…" Weasley suggested.

Although he wanted to stay by her side, Draco thought it was best that they leave her alone. She may be confused if she woke up in a room with loads of people surrounding her.

One by one each of the men left the room and crept downstairs. Draco the last to leave, smiling to see her finally in peace.

"Did you do it?" Ginny asked as soon as Potter had set foot down the stairs. She and Astoria had been sitting, drinking tea and patiently waiting for some news.

"Yep Gin, she's okay now" Potter smiled, "She's okay."

Hermione.

She had a very peculiar sensation as she woke up. First off she didn't know where she was. Her mind was very hazy. Suddenly it came to her.

Harry and Ginny's. Of course, they had just given her a tour of their new house.

Hermione was then confused to why she had been sprawled out on their large, double bed. Had she really fallen asleep?

She giggled to herself before lifting her body from the bed. She felt quite dizzy for a moment before regaining her composure and briskly walking down the stairs.

"How could you of just let me fall asleep like that?" She called to Harry and Ginny as she clambered down each step. Hermione felt kind of embarrassed, she was a guest in their home and although they were two of her best friends, she felt guilty for stealing their bed as it seemed to be very late at night.

She heard many loud scuffling noises and muffled voices. It sounded like there was more than just Harry and Ginny in the house, which made her extremely hesitant to enter the living room.

But she didn't need to as the door quickly flew open and Harry stood there beaming from ear to ear.

"Hermione!" He grinned, embracing her into a warm, protective hug.

She was quite startled by this, how long had she been asleep? She mentally laughed at herself.

"Hi Harry" She giggled hugging him back, "Um… what happened?"

"Come sit down, I'll make you some tea and explain." He beamed, wandering off to the kitchen.

Hermione strolled into the living to indeed find more people than she had expected.

Ron was sat on the sofa with a pretty, blonde girl she had never seen before. They were sitting rather close together and Ron had his arm looped round her. Jealously boiled inside her. What did he think he was doing?

They both glanced up and smiled at her warmly. Hermione stood silently, her mouth hanging open.

Then the noiselessness was broken with a deep voice coming from behind her.

"Hermione…"

She swivelled round quickly. To her utter shock, Draco Malfoy was stood there.

Before she could say anything, he pulled her into an almighty hug and stroked her hair affectionally.

Her body stiffened. What the hell was going on? Why on earth was Draco Malfoy hugging her?!

She retracted very quickly.

"What do you think you're doing Malfoy?!" She spat harshly, moving away from him.

Hermione watched as his face dropped and complete bewilderment glistened in his eyes. His whole face contorted.

"Malfoy? You don't…" He stopped.

He glanced around at everyone else in the room. Each of them looking utterly horrified. Harry strolled in grinning, holding a tray of tea.

"I made tea for all-" he also stopped talking when he saw the expression on Malfoy's face.

Hermione had absolutely no idea what was going on but obviously she was missing something.

She whipped around to Harry, who had gently placed down the tray of tea.

"Harry, why the hell is Draco bloody Malfoy here?!" She demanded to know, searching Harry's eyes for answers.

She scanned around at everyone's face, each were simply gobsmacked.

Hermione began to worry deeply. No one was speaking and Malfoy was here. It didn't make sense in her head. What had she missed? How long had she been asleep for?

"Harry…" She pleaded, begging for him to speak. She shot a sideways glance at Malfoy who looked as though he was about to cry or something. It was very bizarre.

Harry took a deep breath.

"Mione… What is the last thing you remember?" He asked cautiously, placing a delicate hand on her shoulder. She racked her brains thoroughly.

She recalled having a slightly heated argument with Ron about him going to yet another "majorly important" party before she arrived to Harry and Ginny's who guided her merrily around their brand, new home.

"Umm… I remember this place…" She said, motioning around.

"And is that it?" Harry questioned, looking deeply concerned.

"Well… that's the last thing I remember…"

Suddenly there was a loud slam, evidently the front door which Draco Malfoy had just exited out of.

Hermione furrowed her brow,

"Harry, I'd like that tea now…" she affirmed, "And for you to tell me what is going on…"

A/N: Oh dear! Poor Draco… he obviously wasn't as good at memory charms as he thought!
