A/N: I've swapped their POV's around because I want to the story to end with Draco, I don't know why.

Hermione.

She smiled weakly as he moved towards her, his grey eyes strangely full of warmth. The palms of her hands were sweating due to her nervousness.
"Hello Draco" she said quickly.
He was smirking at her, obviously aware of her awkwardness around him. It must of been strange for him as she was quite different to how had known her or was she?
"You do look stunning" Draco breathed, edging closer to her which was definitely not helping Hermione's paranoia.
She could feel her cheeks heating up at his compliment. Somehow she felt a lot happier than when Ron used to compliment her. She felt as though Draco truly meant it.

"Thank you" she smiled, grabbing a small glass of champagne that was set on the table beside them. Perhaps that would ease her nerves. Hermione then realised how crowded the Potter's living room had become. More people had arrived and it was getting increasingly noisier. And although she didn't much like the idea she decided it would be best if she and Draco went somewhere quieter.
"Um shall we go outside?" Hermione suggested, taking a small sip of champagne. He nodded firmly, raising his eyebrows and placing down his own glass on the table.
She led the way nervously. The idea of being alone with him worried her but also deeply excited her.

As they were just about the step outside, Hermione caught a glimpse of Harry who smirked wildly at her. She shook her head and giggled at him not knowing what to say.

Outside was fairly cold it was after all still winter time, it made her certainly regret coming out.
She and Draco strolled into the centre of the garden so that they couldn't hear the loud chatter from inside.
"It's colder than I thought" Hermione admitted, cuddling her body.
Draco chuckled; he had come prepared wearing a very cosy looking, black coat.
"It's not too bad" he teased, watching her shiver.
"Well you're wearing a coat!" Hermione groaned. The icy wind was whipping through her hair and she desperately flicked it from her face.
Then he began removing his coat which confused Hermione however it confused her more when he began wrapping it around her shoulders. She screwed her face up in bewilderment before blushing extremely harshly. Luckily it was fairly dark so she knew Draco wouldn't see.
"Thanks..." She muttered, gazing up into his silvery eyes.
He was now only wearing a long sleeved, crimson shirt with some buttons slightly undone. Hermione didn't mind this.

"It's been a crazy year…" Draco sighed staring up into the night sky. Hermione tried to imagine what he had been through, Harry and Ginny had explained to her how his father had been killed and his mother was now in Azkaban. It can't have been easy for him.
"Too bad I don't remember half of it" she joked, also gazing upwards. The sky was dark but she could still tell it was very cloudy, she couldn't even see any stars.
Draco laughed.
"Has it been a good or bad year?" Hermione asked, genuinely curious.
She could see he was deep in thought about this question and he said nothing for a long time.
"Well a lot of awful things have happened..." He spoke a faint hint of pain in his voice, "but overall I would say it's been a good year..."
Hermione creased her forehead, crooking her neck and giving him an odd look,
"Why?"
"Because I found you." He said softly.
Then all of a sudden it started to snow.

Draco.

Snowflakes landed over his face and he could see them on his eyelashes and the end of his nose. He laughed, gazing over to Hermione who was almost in a trance-like state staring at him. She wasn't smiling but she didn't look particularly sad, simply in awe.
"What's the matter?" He asked quickly, becoming very worried. Draco was deadly protective over her after everything that had happened.
But to his surprise, Hermione began to cry. Large tears poured silently down her rosy cheeks. He could tell that these were tears of happiness rather than pain or sadness. But he was still confused.
"Why are you crying?" He asked, moving closer to her and placing an arm on her shoulder. Snow continued to fall around them but somehow Draco stopped noticing it, all that he was focused on was Hermione.

Her watery browns eyes glanced up at him as he was now standing very close to her.
"Do you really care about me that much?" She whispered, choking back the tears. She was half smiling.
Draco had never cared about anyone more than he cared for Hermione and he didn't care anymore than she couldn't remember that. They had been through so much together he would love her no matter what.
"Absolutely." He said firmly, not moving his gaze from hers. His heart began pumping fast and butterflies fluttered in his stomach. It was stupid that he was so nervous, this was the woman he loved.

Suddenly without warning Hermione grabbed him by the collar and her lips came crashing into his. Instantly he wrapped his arms around her and practically lifted her up. Both of their lips were cold due to the wintry conditions they were stood in but Draco didn't care. He kissed her passionately. He had missed this feeling. He had missed holding her. He had missed kissing her. He had missed his Hermione.

Just then they pulled apart slowly. He lightly placed her back down on the ground but his arms were still folded around her.
And as he stared deeply into her chocolate brown eyes that were filled with powerful warmth, he knew they were going to be okay.

They stood beaming at each other for a long time, simply taking in each other's presence.

"Hey you two! It's snowing for gods' sake, get inside!" Ginny called from inside, she too was grinning. She had most likely been watching the whole time. Draco liked her.

Hermione latched onto his hand and they began walking together towards the house.

Although it was cold and snowing Draco felt extremely warm and bubbly inside. He couldn't help it.

Finally he and Hermione were free to do whatever they wanted. They did not have to run anymore from their mistakes or wild maniacs. They had each other and Draco could honestly say that was the best feeling in the world.

The end.
