Confidence and anger surging through my veins, I stood across the street from Colin's fraternity, fuming. I'll show you, you goddamn son of a bitch. I crossed the street quickly after ensuring it was clear, banging on the front door heavily with my fist. "Is anyone sober enough to answer the door?"

"What do you want?"

"To talk to Colin."

"What was that?" The guy who answered stretched and shielded his eyes from the sunlight, clearly nursing a bad hangover.

"I wish to have a semi-intellectual conversation with Colin, known to you as Sexybeast Harris." I spoke slowly, enunciating each syllable. "Did you get that, or should I translate it into seven different languages?"

"Yeah okay, I'll get him."

Colin stepped outside, pulling the door shut behind him, that stupid goddamn smirk present on his face. "Can I help you, beautiful?"

"You pressed charges against me," I stated matter-of-factly.

"Oh did I? I'm sorry about that. Must've slipped my mind."

"Drop the act, Colin," I scoffed.

"Look, Kara, just look at my throat." He pointed at the cut which, may I add, was already pretty much healed, a few stitches still apparent.

"I'm not going to apologize for that."

"Then why the hell are you even here?" he demanded, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms.

"Because you pressed charges against me!" I yelled indignantly, even adding a foot stomp for emphasis. Unfortunately, my flats barely made a sound when they impacted the ground, but it's the thought that counts, right?

"So you want me to drop them?"

"No, I want you to shove a cactus up your ass." Hey, not a bad idea! "Yes, I want you to drop the charges! I may have been in a screwed up state of mind, but you know I was justified in my actions!"

"First of all, ouch," Colin responded with a grimace.

I couldn't help the little smirk that played at my lips. That felt good to say.

"And second, no!"

"You deliberately hit my boyfriend head on!" I felt my face heating up as he just stood there with that stupid smirk on his face and god my fist was itching to punch him. "It was so reckless and stupid and selfish and- you don't even care."

It suddenly dawned on me as I stood there on the doorstep of this fraternity (the fact that Colin lived here and was well known spoke volumes itself, let's be honest) that he didn't care at all. He was willing to do whatever it took to get rid of Kendall.

"What is it you want from me?" I asked softly.

"What?" He seemed taken aback by the question, his smirk faltering.

"What do you want, Colin?" I sighed. "What is it that you're after?"

"I...you."

"And why is that?"

"Because I...I'm sorry, alright?"

"For what?" I wasn't about to give in easily.

"That your boyfriend isn't big enough!" I looked up with a withering glare at the man leaning out the window.

"One of your friends?" I asked Colin.

"More or less," he shrugged.

"Good enough for me," I smiled, slipping off my shoe and throwing it at the waste of oxygen who had spoken, nailing him right in the eye.

"OW WHAT THE FUCK?"

"Sorry, it slipped!"

"Look, you're still being abusive!" Colin sighed, shaking his head.

"He's an asshole and he deserved it. Anyway, continue."

"Why?"

"You were saying you're sorry for something..."

"Oh. I thought Brett answered for me."

My jaw dropped as Colin laughed obnoxiously to the cheers and catcalls of frat boys all around the house, eagerly listening in. "I hope you burn in hell," I growled through gritted teeth before daintily walking over to retrieve my shoe and returning the way I came.

"I'll save you and your whipped little bitch a seat down there, love!"

Oh god, that did it. I whirled around and watched as Colin visibly paled, hurrying to get back into the house and slamming his hand against the door when he realized it had been locked. "Guys! Guys!" He was practically squeaking out his friends' names as I stalked back across the street, my eyes, normally a rich hazel, two blazing pools of fire.

I grabbed the back of his shirt and yanked, hard, turning him towards me before slamming my fist into his face. My hand met with a satisfying crack as he screamed out his pain and I grinned, standing over him, chest heaving and heart soaring.

"Kara?"

As I wound up for hit number two, a familiar voice made me turn around. James crossed the street quickly, worry written all over his face. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Teaching this son of a bitch a lesson," I spat, hitting Colin once more, loving the way he recoiled in fear. "Are you scared of me now?"

"Yes, god, yes!"

"Remember this," I growled in a menacing voice.

"There's no way I'm dropping the charges now," he yelled up at me, testing his nose and wincing as his palm came away red. "You fucking broke my nose!"

"Good, maybe you'll look more attractive," I hissed, struggling as James took my arms and pulled me away.

"Kara, c'mon sweetheart, they'll come after you," James whispered in my ear.

"Let them," I shrugged. "My work is done."

"No, I won't let them hurt you. C'mon now."

"You'll regret everything you've ever said and done to me, Colin Avery Harris! Every single thing!"

"Kara, your hand!"

"Yeah, she's gonna need some ice for it," James smiled sheepishly, patting my head. "Our little Kara has quite the punch, my friend."

"You punched him?" Kendall asked, clearly shocked.

"Yeah..." I shrugged indifferently. "He deserved it."

"But Kara...he'll take you to court."

"He can do what he wants," I sighed, sinking down into our couch. "I'm done being nice."

"Yeah, clearly," James laughed, letting out a whistle of approval as he placed an ice pack against my bruising fist.

I whined and pulled my hand away, receiving James' classic father figure look. Rolling my eyes, I obediently placed my hand in his and allowed him to tend to my aching knuckles.

Kendall sat down next to me and pressed a gentle kiss to my temple, running his hand through my hair before resting his hand on my knee. "Are you ready to take him on?"

I gazed into Kendall's eyes, noting the concern hiding a slight twinkle of amusement at the fact I had done some damage to Colin's face. "Hell yes, baby! That son of a bitch can bring it."
