Disclaimer: Hello. Guess what I finally decided to write after a very, very, very, very, very, very, very long time! A new chapter for Cope! :D Yes, my good people, I, BorderCollieChihuahuaGirl98, have decided to make a new chapter for Cope! I thought of this a long time ago, I just never got around to doing it... Well, it's the same thing: I don't own The Legend of Zelda or characters. Review positively please! Thank you! Well, let's go! :D
...
Leah's PoV:
It's not the same without Link... I miss him, everyday. I'm sitting at my window, thinking. I'm thinking about how life's going to be without Link. He was my boyfriend! "Leah, can you come here for a second, please?" I hear Mama ask.
"Yes, ma'am." I answer.
I leave the window and walk up to Mama. "Dr. Lanford's going in to town. Do you want to go with him?"
"I sure would! I need to get my mind off Link!"
"I knew it'd be a great idea," Mama says. "Go. He's waiting for you."
"Okay!" I hug Mama and head out the door.
I meet up with Dr. Lanford. "Are you ready to go?" he asks.
"I sure am!" So, I hop on the back of the horse with Dr. Lanford, and we leave the Kokiri Forest and head to Hyrule Castle Town...
A Little While Later...
Dr. Lanford and I leave Hyrule Castle Town. We're in the middle of Hyrule Field, when I see something or someone laying on the field. "Dr. Lanford, stop!" I shout.
He stops the horse and asks, "Leah, what's wrong?"
"There's someone or something out there, laying on the field!"
"Alright. We'll go take a look," We ride the horse over to where that person or thing is laying. Once we get closer to it, I notice that it's a person! Wait a minute... This person looks familiar! I get off the horse and run over to them! "Leah! Wait for me!" I hear Dr. Lanford shout, but I ignore him and continue running towards the person. Once I get there, I kneel down. I see that this person looks a lot like... my... my boy... my Link...
"Link?..." I ask, in a soft voice. I ask that, because I so desperately want it to be Link!
"Must... go... home... Ma... in... trouble..." Link's lookalike mumbles.
I feel a hand place on my shoulder. I turn my head and look up, startled. I see Dr. Lanford. "It's not Link, my dear." he says.
"Should we bring him home, doctor?" I ask.
"Yes, we should," I get up, so that Dr. Lanford can pick up Link's lookalike. He brings him over to the horse and says, "Leah, get on. I need you to hold on to him." I nod. I get on the horse, and he sets the nearly unconscious boy in front of me. Then, he gets on the horse, and we start to head back home, to the Kokiri Forest...
In the Kokiri Forest...
When we arrive in the Kokiri Forest, we see all the Kokiri coming up to us, curious, about the boy sitting now unconscious on my lap. Saria walks up to us and asks, "Leah, Dr. Lanford, who's that?"
"He's a boy we found nearly unconscious on Hyrule Field..." Dr. Lanford answers.
"Oh my Din... He looks... so much like... Link..." Saria says, shocked, yet sad to see someone, who looks so much like the boy she loves. Believe me, I know that Saria loves Link, too.
"Yes..." I say.
Dr. Lanford and I bring Link's lookalike to Saria's house. Dr. Lanford lays him down on Saria's bed. "What's wrong with him?" Saria asks, worried.
"We don't know," Dr. Lanford answers. He tends to the boy's wounds. "Leah, could you get a cold cloth, please?"
"Yes, sir." So, I go over to Saria's wash table and wet the white cloth that's there. I bring it over to Dr. Lanford, and he places it on the boy's forehead.
"He's been beaten," the doctor says.
"I wonder why somebody would beat him..." I say, in wonder.
"Though, he'll be OK. He just needs rest," I nod. "I'll watch over him. You guys go out and play, OK?"
Saria and I both nod and say, in unison, "Yes, sir." And we leave Saria's house...
A Little While Later...
Saria, the rest of the Kokiri, and I are running around, playing. It's nearly sunset. I wonder how the boy's doing... "Saria! Leah! Come on in! He's awake now!" Dr. Lanford hollers at us. Speaking of which...
"Coming!" I holler. "Come on, Saria," And Saria and I head inside her house.
Once we get inside the house, we see that Link's lookalike's awake. We saunter up to him, and Saria says, "Hello. My name is Saria, and this is my friend, Leah. What's your name?"
"Nick..." he manages to say.
"Nick... That sounds similar to Link..." I say.
"What?..." he barely asks.
"You look... so similar to my boyfriend, that died... His name was Link. The only thing different about you from him is your hair colour and your eye colour. Though, you have two different-coloured eyes. One's blue and one's brown. His eyes were blue." I say. (I couldn't decide whether to make his eyes blue or brown, so I made them both! XD)
"Yeah... It's rare, but I have two different-coloured eyes..." He manages to sit up. "Where am I?..."
"You're in the Kokiri Forest," I answer.
"Luckily, you were found by Leah and Dr. Lanford..." Saria says.
"Wait, Dr. Lanford's here?..." he barely asks.
"Yes," I answer.
"Huh... When can I go back home?... My Ma... needs help..."
"With what?" Saria asks.
"My step-Father... he's... he's not who we thought he was... So, he told me, in order to save Ma, I have to go to the bank and take out all our money. And since we live out in Hyrule Field, I had to go in to Castle Town..."
"And? How did you get beaten?" Saria asks.
"I guess my step-Father wanted to stall me, so that I wouldn't be able to save her..."
"Do you know for sure that it was your step-Father?" asks Saria.
"No... I don't really know... Well, someone came up behind me and put their hand over my mouth... I was then blindfolded with something... They started beating me, and the next thing I know, I'm here..."
"Hmm... I think you need to rest up for a bit. Dr. Lanford will take you to Castle Town in the morning. Don't worry, it'll be OK. You just stay here and rest," Saria says.
"Thank you. Goodnight," he says.
"Goodnight," Saria says. And Saria, Dr. Lanford, and I leave Saria's house...
...
